Grealish is not Kane's mate in any way...If Grealish goes for 100m, Kane should go for nothing less than 150m... City should have concluded Kane's deal first before going for Grealish. Harry Kane on the same position again today morning. He’s not showing up for Tottenham training as he wants to leave the club this summer - tense situation with Spurs board.
Touch not the anointed...... he is English. Stupid English Media are blaming it on Manchester City. Dem say na Act of Disrespect bidding same Amount of Money for both Grealish and Kane. They are not blaming City but rather what the guy meant was that Kane should rather than be angry with Spurs be suspect of Manchester City and how much they really want him because the are offering Villa for Grealish, same amount they offered Spurs for Kane...If you were Spurs, will you sell when you know City can easily cough out 50m more? City no try, they have left Kane hanging on a cliff, if I were him, I'd resume training and reach out to City to know if they really want me. |

SammyFX: I prefer Saul to neves because of lot of experience but for the premier league factor neves is a better option and is also cheaper and much younger Saul is more an attack minded midfielder than a defensive one even though Simeone has played him at LB before and other times at LM... Neves and Camavinga are best fit for the CM position and if stretched, they can play DM or function as part of a pivot with the responsibility of dictating the play from deep rather than shielding the back 4... For an outright DM, Ndidi or Bissouma or Brozovic will be just fine in that order... |

Illimitable: I don’t think there’s any club in Europe that would pay Pogba more than what United are currently paying him.
By the time his current contract expires, he will be almost 30. Unless he’s willing to take a salary cut, it doesn’t make any economic sense for him to leave Man Utd.
Pogba is stuck with United. Ramsey is on 400k or thereabout at Juve...If Pogba joins them on a free, he will easily pocket 400 - 500k... In all, I'm tired of the drama...I think the club wants the issue completely resolved before making the next move in the market. Pogba has to make a decision and quickly... |

ChristineC: I don't think the ball is entirely in his court. the options before him is to agree the extension deal as offered by United so he can leave for a fee next transfer or his agent hawks him around so United can get a recoup this transfer window. failure to achieve either will most likely see him out of the squad for the remainder of his time here. I actually perceive the institution as a unit is fed up of his games. Will it be wise to keep a player like him on a substantial weekly wage on the bench for the entirety of the season whilst parading bums? Trust me, even if he doesn't renew, he just has to start as long as he is here...I can't imagine watching McFred go another season and I'm not sure Ole is ready to play VDB... |

Illimitable: Pogba stays but with the potential of leaving for free next summer.
Real Madrid can’t afford him, PSG don’t want him and even if they do, I don’t think they can afford his transfer fee with a year left on his contract.
Raiola must have pröstituted him to all the big clubs around with no one showing keen interest. By the time his contract is up next summer, he would be almost 30.
United have him in a corner. If he stays this summer, they should be in a super advantage to further extend his contract. Pogba is a wonderful player that has been mismanaged at the club.
He needs us, we need him. His best bet is Madrid next season but will they want a player who will be almost 30 years in their books? I doubt...I think they'd go for a long term fix... PSG already have their midfield 3 sorted out in Gueye, Veratti and Wijnaldum unless they decide to do Wijnaldum dirty and pay up for Pogba leaving Wijnaldum with no choice but a bench role... |

benji93: It's not so simple. You want to keep a supposedly good player, although sometimes out of desperation. It takes an incredible amount of patience not to ever come to the point of desperation. You don't want to let him go and then regret, as we did when we let him go the first time, at least retrospectively. Now that's me being straightforward. Personally, I think that man is overrated and should have been offloaded a long time ago. Coupled with the fact that his agent is an embodiment of drama, the writing on the wall was very clear. You don't wait until a player has 1 year left on his contract before you begin serious negotiations for an extension. With 2 years left, if a player doesn't commit to a new deal, you are best advised to sell especially when the said player still has a bit of age on his side... |

afrodoc2: Pogba is about to play 419 on the club. Let me see if they will chop it. He said he is open to staying but doesn’t want to sign an extension yet.
Raiola’s plan is to survey the market and sign with the highest bidder for free in 2022. It’s like asking a girl out now and she tells to wait until December for an answer.
The smart move will be to sell him now, add to the money and then buy 2 starting caliber midfielders (like we should have done when we bought him) to play with Bruno. The big issue now is that most clubs know they can sign a pre-contract agreement with him in January hence will be reluctant to deal...We should have addressed this concern last summer...Now, the ball is at his court, if he refuses to sign, he goes for free next summer...How on earth we allowed things get to this stage, sheer incompetence if you ask me... We should just look at a possibility of a player exchange because I don't see any team paying anything substantial to sign him now... |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 9:07am On Aug 02, 2021 |
afrodoc2: My post is simple na.
1) He still had the better players overall and lost. At best the Lille players were on the same level as the players he had but he couldn’t win. As per normal for him
2) If it does not concern you when he loses it will be very wrong for you to drop any posts here whenever he finally wins something with Neymar, Mbappe, Marquinhos, Ramos, Veratti and company. How often do those guys play together or even play in a regular season? Team chemistry is important and that's what Lille had with their preferred 11 starting bar their goalie that joined Milan... As I said, my priority is seeing Manchester United win a trophy, of course I'll be sad when I see other managers doing what Ole is struggling to do...If Poch was our coach and he fumbles, I'll be the first to call him out as his shortcomings means Manchester United too will struggle but as he isn't our coach, if he likes, let him fail, e no concern me... We don't measure up to failure but success so, when Poch and other managers win, we will ask Ole for his own trophies... Those who rather focus on the failures of other top teams are doing so because for them, any window of opportunity must be utilized to make Ole seem like not a very bad coach... |
