Also, I don’t expect VDB and Pogba to walk while the opponent hits us on a counter.

In most cases really, except someone does something unintelligent, the opponent will spend a lot of time focusing on not conceding, rather than scoring because of United’s firepower.

It’s just like TAA at Liverpool. He’s weak defensively but the overall coordination of the team, without injuries, makes it hard for opponents to exploit him despite knowing 100% that he’s the weakness in the defense.

Watch Liverpool from last season and in particular, watch Sheffield United vs Liverpool and you'll see that it's Henderson who is detailed to cover for him thus his defensive frailties is hardly noticed unless Hendo is out of the team...TAA is too slow for an attacking wing back. If Pep lays his hand on him, he'll be converted to a DM...Fabinho was once a RB at Monaco...

the day he refused to release the ball to a running rashford, was the day I knew be wasn't ready for EPL, he should put himself in position that will ensure he controls the game, not playing safe by passing to the nearest teammate because he wants to complete his passes

Although he's very good, but the kind of man utd tactics now requires him to be always ready to participate in a counter, I believe if it was vdb that had the ball for rashford's assist, he would have probably not attempt that cross field pass

I will like to attribute it to his footballing perspective especially coming from Ajax...Those guys are taught to retain possession that's why he only attempts 5 yard passes. In dangerous positions, his one touch passing and movement can unsettle any defense...Check his one touch pass to release Shaw and his movement into the box where he should have shot after receiving a pass rather than attempt to find Cavani...

With more confidence and adaptation, I expect him to be more daring...Like Fred, let's be patient with him, in there lies a rough diamond...

OGS hasn’t discovered how best to use this guy yet. Or maybe the guy still doesn’t understand how to fit in better.

He needs to start McFred against Liverpool's energetic midfield and start MatPog against Sheffield's potentially bus-parking style.

Whichever way they will lineup, OGS shouldn't and mustn't start Bruno. Even if he's adamant. The guy needs to rest. Though our attackers are not doing well, for three EPL games now he's no G/A if I'm not mistaken.
