How you guys have managed to reduce greatness to scoring against big teams. If someone doesn't do the job in the group stage, will they be a 2nd round, quarters, semis and finals?

In the league, if someone doesn't step up against Palace, West Brom, Sheffield, Brighton, Newcastle, West Ham and the likes, will wins against the top teams be enough to hand you the title?

To be honest I thought your original summation on Liverpool was a bit too enthusiastic but it does look like it had its own merits.

As per the bolded,let's get ready for more of that in the big games.

I'm just alarmed how Ole who was the master of the big game suddenly went conservative against them.Perhaps the 6-1 had something to do with it.

But let's just hope for the best.

To be frank I never envisaged us being in this position at the start of the season,given how calamitous snd ludicrous our preseason was, and even how we started the season,with nobody giving us a chance of making the top 4.

Lets just hope.

The truth of the matter is that Liverpool is not the same with Fabinho and Henderson in defence as that alone limits the attacking forays of TAA and Robertson, especially TAA...When Gomez and VVD were fit, Klopp deployed Henderson as an auxiliary RB to cover for TAA who doesn't have the needed recovery pace thus TAA becomes an extra man in attack allowing Salah to play more centrally...

If you listened to the commentator on our recent visit to Anfield, he wondered why Rashford was attacking Fabinho's side when it was obvious Hendo is the weaker defender...

I complained that Ole showed too much respect for Liverpool by playing our best players out of position and it affected their overall performance...Even if you must be cautious, at least play your best players in their preferred position, that way, they're more effective...

For the James and bissaka review, personally I will pick bissaka, I just drop a popular opinion.

Chilwell vs Shaw/Telles is also debatable...Chilwell looks that good because the players he replaced were pretty awful so expect the average Chelsea fan to think he is the second coming of Carlos...

Kante is a shadow of himself...Let's compare his present output and not his output when Chelsea won the league couple of seasons ago...

It is in response to your line I highlighted...If Lampard fails, it means Chelsea have failed and I'll gladly banter them but I'll not pray for the success of Lampard because I am afraid of what the likes of Trevor will say...

My point is that the 2 squads are close enough in quality that you shouldn’t start calling people dunces for saying their squad is better.

The gap either way is not huge and both sides can be argued.

You better pray Lampfraud improves a little and limps along to take them to 6th position because if they sack him now and a better manager comes in to use those same players it might not be funny.

I am a Manchester United fan, I only hold an opinion on Lampard so, whosoever wants to troll me for my opinion is free...We can all dig.

If Amaka bought these same players (Harvetz, Werner,Thiago, Silva, Chilwell, Ziyech) and we were languishing close to 10th you guys will be eviscerating him.

You won’t reason then that Werner is missing 1v1 or that Harvetz needs time on the ball. You will want him to get the job done, after all Woodward has supported him in the transfer market.

Player for player, we have the better team. Are you also going to ignore the fact that we have a more settled team?
Of the Chelsea starting 11, Kepa, Silva, Chilwell, Ziyech, Werner and Havertz are new additions with less than 6 months playing together...It has to count for something...On the whole, I expected them to be doing better with their individual quality coming to the fore but its not been the case.

Very simple, the team has enough talent to be struggling like they are doing now and secondly Ole will do way better than what Frank is doing now.

I agree, Lampard should be given the opportunity to manage a Lingard, Pereira and Fred midfield and let's see what happens.

If Amaka had been the one to spend over 200m to add Harvertz, Werner, Ziyech, Thiago Silva and Lampard only added an injury prone Cavani, and perennial subs in VDB and Telles would you guys be saying the same thing.

Practically everybody in world football was singing the praises of Ziyech, Harvetz and to a lesser extent Werner before they moved to Chelshit.

With those highly rated additions there is not much difference between both squads.

Our squad looks much better mainly because our coaching staff has been able get the best out of them while Lampfraud is mismanaging what he has.

I know some people here that would have had issue of blood if Amaka had been the one to be struggling mid table after spending 200m.

I have seen Werner miss countless 1 vs 1, that's not on Lampard...

Havertz needs all the time in the world to make play, that's not on Lampard but Havertz who is still struggling with the fact that you hardly are afforded time on the ball...

I blame Lampard for their slow build up play and one dimensional attacking pattern...

On spending, Ole and Lampard has spent the same but whilst Ole has had more time with his present team, Lampard hasn't...

I am happy to see Chelsea struggling but away from banter, the truth should set in.

My guy stop this nonsense. . Who doesn't need the right additions? Even the worst of coaches will win with a star-studded team. Isn't it the coaches responsibility to get the right players?Me Don tell you, the line between good coaching and quality players is very small. They overlap for the most part.
