Leyqute: No. Luke Shaw kills attacks and impinges the performance of the players in front of him. To make matters worse, has zero cross accuracy, 60% lower than Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia's.
Hahaha Shaw should be on the bench for Young then since Young makes our LW better and attacks as well as defends better... A pay rise and life long contract should be sealed already before Pep or Klopp comes poaching, Ed get to work you tool... |

Yet again, Shaw was good, Elamps was probably hoping we concede a goal off a cross from the left so he can come here and write his usual stuff...
If Martial had started instead of Rashford, I'm sure Sanchez would've rather played from the left but just cos Rashford is English, he gets his preferred position. Martial looked far more threatening when he came on, it's a no Brainerd she should be starting always considering how bad Rashford and Sanchez have been playing from the left. |

Usani Uguru Usani is of the faction that is not recognized by the national, I am not sure why PMB and Oshiomole are sitting there and watching him divide the party, he should be cautioned. The recognized APC held here primaries yesterday wherein Sen Owan Enoh emerged, only downside is the fact that he comes from the central senatorial district who had Imoke as Governor for 8 years just recently.
If Cross River northern senatorial district are/were serious, they'd have fielded a candidate with deep pockets rather than John Upan Odey who in all ramifications is qualified to lead the state safe for his lack of financial clout compared to his other contestants. Our politics is still influenced by money thus it would have been suicidal for the APC to give their ticket to John. It is sad that money talks here but it is the bare truth. All Owan has to do is reach out to the leaders of the southern senatorial district and sign a pact to do just a term and hand over to a southerner else he stands no chance cos Ayade if reelected will hand over power to a southerner after 4 years. All of this is taking into consideration the PDP zoning formula tho. |

elampiro: Young played very well and his support made Martial our best player. Did you see the game?If yes, was there any moment of note where Young and Martial combined to good effect? From the game I saw, Martial tired on his own to force the game in favour of United...Young had acres of space but in most occasions, he either under hit or over hit the cross... If we had Shaw rather than Young, he'd have created better scoring opportunities with his deliveries.... |

Is there anything that Hazard does for Chelsea that Zaha doesn't for Crystal palace? Without even putting into consideration that the latter plays for a mediocre club with mediocre players
Why exactly can't they be compared? Hazard wins trophies for Chelsea, how many has Zaha won fpr Palace? |

dopeJemi: So how else can a player be influential to their team? If Palace were losing Zaha not scoring the winner almost all the time or the opener, Will you call him influential to the team? Or what record are we checking when he is on and off the pitch? Good luck and ill luck record? You were actually the one who brought the basis to Goals and Assists When you talked about influence, And For an attacker to influence a game, he is either scoring or assisting. Was Zidane inflential? Was Inesta influential? If yes, why were they influential? What is it about Iniesta's game that draws plaudits from analyst world over? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by patrickmuf(m): 7:36pm On Sep 21, 2018 |
dopeJemi: Nope, we can't, they don't post similar numbers, not even close. Zaha and Hazard post similar numbers. You have reduced the basis to goals and assist stat but they're other parameters in football... If it was always about goals and assist, then Zidane wouldn't have won any of his personal awards especially at an era where you had goal machines like Henry, Ronaldo, Shevy etc |

eph12: I don't think he is. If you think he is, why do you think so? Because he has 2-3 players on him or because he drimbles ? Oh he scores goals and gives assists? Hazard much like Iniesta doesn't really score that but he males the play, his movement with the ball causes panic and opens up spaces for others around him...This season with a coach that understand the talent he has, he is doing better because he us much closer to where the action happens, the 18 yard box... I read here where Sarri said he told him to stay closer to the goal, spmething similar to the method Pep used with Messi to conserve his energy for maximum impact...This season, with Kovacic, Willian and sometimes Kante who have been saddled with the responsibility of brimging the ball forward, you see Hazard doing much better and from the looks of things, bar an injury, he'll only get better... |

homesteady: From the stats I posted, Modric defensive contribution isn't far off from Rakitic contribution. In two major defensive stats - Interception and tackles won, Modric even had better stats. As you rightly said, the Madrid right side is more fortified than Barcelona's, yet we still see Modric posting almost similar defensive stats with Rakitic who is supposed to be guarding Barcelona's weaker right side. This just proves my point that Rakitic doesn't spend a significant period of time defending as you guys are assuming. Stats doesn't really tell the story in this case, I hope Rakitic misses a couple of games and let's see how the team fares without him... |

You said he is always marked by 2-3 Players and no ordinary player is given that much attention, I just brought to your notice another extraordinary player who 2-3 players also mark, His name is Zaha and he plays for Crystal palace. That's all.
Have a great weekend. Check Palace record with Zaha and Palace without Zaha and you'd know how much of an imfluence he has on that team...Zaha is a good player, don't be deceived by the narrative here, since he lwft United, he has come leaps and bounds... |
