If we are talking of military ranking, Nigeria is 3rd in Africa after Egypt and Algeria.

In fact we’re 2nd. It’s not fair to add Egypt because they are heavily funded and armed by the US as a counterweight to Iran etc in that region.

Nigeria ranks a very respectable 31st on Earth, out of a world of 202 countries.

The military does not spend money on equipment for which there is no rationale.

Nigerian military spends big money on armoured carriers and such equipment for its most pressing issues - terrorists.

Iran military spends big money on air defence systems because her own problems are different from our own. She is facing Israel. Enemies.

Pakistan spends big on air defence systems because of India with whom they have endless problems.

But you can bet that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh next door to Pakistan Don’t have any big “air defence systems”.

Why? Because they have no threat or enemies to expect a cruise missile attack from.

So military equipment procurement is not about ‘bragging rights’, you children.

It’s about strategic procurement based on your current threats.

Israel already has that just that the terrain in Iran is much more difficult. I remember when America bombed the Torra Borra mountains in Afghanistan until they got tired...Israel is getting hit, they need American support to neutralise Iran. At the moment the US and other NATO allies are only helping to defend Israel by shooting down Iranian drones and missiles over Jordanian, Iraqi and Syrian airspace. Israel however wants the US to join them on the offensive. If it does not make sense to you then leave it.

The situation here is quite different, the US does not want to get directly involved in the confrontation. Of course, we know they'll arm Israel and provide them with advance warning of Iranian attack but getting directly involved in the hostilities will likely take an Iranian attack on one of their Middle East bases to prompt that. The pressure back home for the US not to get involved is high thus the "If"...

There's no news of Chelsea wanting to sell Jackson, Delap is new to the team, so it will be crazy to sell a Striker like Jackson, who is getting better season after season, for an unproven Delap. Liverpool will need to offload Nunez if they must sign another striker and even if they do, they'd likely go for Alvarez.

Manchester United are the other option, at United he is guaranteed a start place in the team and having worked with Amorim before, he should have no problems fitting in...They downside is that United have no UCL football to offer.

The ball is in his court, it is either he joins United now or hope that Arsenal's move for Sesko doesn't go through or stay in Sorting for one more year and hope that next summer Barcelona will be after him as a replacement for Lewy.
