All due respect I think the word "overrated" gets overused on here. Who then is correctly rated? If Pogba is a Ferrari, you know he damns well moves you within ikoyi and environs, but if you need to drive to say Lokoja, you know he'd damn we'll be useless. We desperately need a player who doesn't show up for five or six games a season. The league is a marathon not a Sprint and you need dependable players who'd carry you the entire race. Links have cooled off though so don't think Goretzka is happening. But I'll bite Bayern's fingers off if it means bringing him to the club.

I say we sell Pogba and Matic. Replace with Goretzka, Camavinga and Reuben Neves. I'll actually prefer Palhinha if Neves isn't gettable as he's more of a destroyer type of player with decent passing skills. All three are gettable with the right negotiations. I'm off the Pogba train. He can go win as many farmers titles in a weak league if he so fancies.

I did without question Max. Thanks for enlightening this generation of Nigerians on its origins, it's evolutionary process to the present state. You may probably not make money as you should from sales due to piracy, hell, you mightn't even receive any awards, distributed over the shelf to perverse personalities as it is done in Nigeria, you may not be celebrated on Twitter or Nairaland pages etc, but I want you to know that no Nigerian who reads your books especially#WhatbritaindidtoNigeria would remain the same after doing so. When you go to bed at night and ruminate over this, I hope you are consoled with a wry smile on your lips that this is the greatest prize many an author would never get. Thank you.

Max, glad to see you post again on this forum. Nairaland has since changed since you first made your presence felt on this forum. That old intellectual guard have since fizzled out to pursue other interests. Nevertheless, I hope you continue to contribute measurably on here as this present generation sir, is one with no sense of history, history they very much need in this troubling times. I'm still reading your book #whatbritaindidtonigeria(on Page 193 presently) and this is your best book yet since your seminal work, oil politics and violence. I've been so immersed in it I swear I'm missing deadlines reading it this late into the night. I wish I had a means of promoting your book further. I will do so on my social media platforms when I finish reading what I consider to be the best book on Nigeria's formative years.
@nairalanders and Seun Osewa, buy Sioullun's What Britain did to Nigeria. There's so much to understand from it especially in these times when we talk of restructuring and secession.@Seun, please move Max's thread to front page not just for the book but for him being an old timeless priceless nairalander.
