This was sent to me on whatsapp by a friend. It was a voice message and the person that made the voice message was narrating his ordeal along the lagos/asaba express. He said everything in igbo but i thought i should share so that my igbo brothers and sisters know what to expect along that road. Here is what he said......

He just arrived from amsterdam and since the enugu airport has been closed he had to travel through road to the east from lagos. He said they left lagos around 5 am and between lagos and benin express they met the usual check points littered everywhere on that route but the situation changed when they got to benin by-pass. The checkpoints sort of tripled and they were stopped in each and every one of them. Because of the closure of enugu airport these police officers, army,sars, customs officials and others know that the road traffic to the east will increase.
What they do is they stop your car and asks everybody to get down and stand in a straight line. They will then ask for your phone and password, they will go through your phone and they must find something to implicate you with. Even a chat you had with someone about lending you money is enough for them and then the threats will follow. You either settle or get arrested. If you try to be strong headed they will threaten to shoot you right there and then. They were taking money from everyone and if you don't have enough money they will bring out their POS machine. Yes they are well prepared, they have POS machines, they have power banks incase your phone battery dies.
The guy said that when you pass the first check point you'll meet the second check point in less than 2 minutes and they'll do the same things again. This guy said he got to the east around 11pm, remember they left lagos at 5 in the morning. And between lagos and asaba they passed about 50 check points.
The worst part is that these people are ready to shoot if you so much as raise your voice against them or react angrily or harsh towards them. They know you are in the middle of the bush so no where to cry for help. And they are ready to implicate you with anything.

So guys here you have it, share this with people you know that use that route so that they know what to expect. When travelling through that road now make sure there is no discussion or chats about money on your phone, even a chat you sent to your mom or sister about money you sent to them. And please always make sure you don't react angrily towards them no matter how angry and frustrated you get.

In 2015, the North said "sai baba buhari or death" and ever since then they've been dying left, right centre. Still 4yrs later them still mumu themselves and were yelling "sai baba or death" again. Now the death is coming in multiple folds from bokoharam to fulani terrorist bandits to NPF. I hope they'll still be people left in the north by 2023.
