Sheun001: Do you wanna compare the amount of students that applied to those schools mentioned to that of public universities?? It is not just about the number of applicants but the process. With incessant strikes in different public universities and "admission runs" going on there, you can imagine the slow pace of things. |

HigherEd: Though Jamb has been mismanaging these process by getting too involved in the admission process which just stalls everything but to blame jamb exclusively would be erroneous. Covenant concluded its own admission in September 2017 and Matriculated in October 2017, Kwasu, Abuad, Babcock, Landmark also Concluded in October and matriculated in Novembe. So I don't understand how it is exclusively jamb's fault. Those Universities that have matriculated don't have two heads na Lalasticlala I agree with you, the mess is with the public universities. |

Nigeria and Cameroon needs to be reminded that Refugees have their fundamental Human Rights that must be respected at times. African leaders choose to ignore that. |

uboma: It was wrong for our government to have sent them back to the Cameroonian authorities.
They won't receive a fair hearing and might end up being executed. It is so wrong but they did it with the conviction that the Cameroonian government will also deport anyone Nigerian government tag as a separatist/terrorist who happens to be picked up on Cameroonian soil. |

As for the video, one needs to track the guy mentioned in the article or maybe search YouTube to see there is an upload there. |

africangirl000: May i ask what skills and how you got the free training? If you don't mind that is. Like how to "escavate" contact details of key personnel of firms, using hootsuite etc. From clients you have been working for, based on the quality work you have been doing for them and they ask you if you can do something outside your skills, if you say you have no skill in that direction some of them will give you access to where you will learn it online for free as they want you to learn and replicate the skill gathered for their own projects, which they still pay you fully regardless they help train you. Their mindset is quite different from ours as they see no wisdom in having different freelancers to do different tasks when one freelancer of high quality can achieve them when empowered. |

great664: A living proof.
I don't think I can work for anyone when foreigners appreciate little things you do for them while paying you instead of Nigeria where even Govt think thy are doing you a favor by paying salary..
I even have one client who pay me to just listen to webinar videos so I can learn what he want me to help him With....
Nigerians looking for 20 yrs experience and must not be more than 35 yrs with MSc and PHD as added advantage. You are right. I have been freely trained on some skills which I was paid for when I started applying it. Foreigners are very liberal but clients from Pakistan, India, Nepal etc are not good news. |
Business › Re: Freelancing: Why Nigerians Should Start Today by Pavore9: 8:23am On Jan 29, 2018 |
Freelancing is empowering. Once you can deliver more than expected and within the scheduled time, the hard currencies is yours. A good number of Kenyans depend on that from writing, transcribing, websearch and to even using hootsuite to manage the social media accounts of their clients who are predominantly in North America, Europe and Australia.
Once lived in an apartment block in Nairobi where most of the occupants were freelancers, the place was more like a ghost town as they were always indoors working on their laptops! |

The States should adopt anti open grazing laws while their state ministry of agriculture should train their people who are interested in cattle farming on breeding, zero grazing, hydroponics, feed formulation etc. Then we will be seeing cows producing at least 20 litres of milk daily as against the one litre the Fulani's are producing. |

cashlurd: My problem isn't with the first fruit issue.... My problem is the final destination of the first fruits we all give. Who receives it, for what is it used for.... Is there any form of accountability?? Or we should just give the pastors our first fruits so they can all use to buy private jets and hire police escorts? It is said once you give, you have no business asking what it is used for as it is between God and the Church leaders. |

It's surprising how domestic violence inflicted on men is rarely spoken about. But methinks it's because men are more mature. Men feel uncomfortable sharing domestic violence inflicted on them because even his fellow men will regard him as a weakling thus the silence. |
