Haba! I least expect this from you! The idea behind the rail is to ensure Niger uses our ports to import their goods. Is that not worth the investment? Is Kenya not building railway to neighbouring landlocked countries?

Take Uganda for example it is landlocked and uses Kenya sea port for its export and import, despite fierce competition from Tanzania that has been enticing Uganda to redirect their trade through them, Kenya will be ending the rail track from their seaport in Mombasa (which is like Lagos) at their border with Uganda and not crossing over the border as Uganda is to continue the track on her soil.
