First work towards getting your sister engaged in something that would earn her income as that will reduce the financial burden on you. |
EternalTruths:That is it. The mental shackles holding many down is undiluted! ![]() |
Paying Tithes does not make one a "good" Christian, such gullibility has no place in Christianity! The West that brought Christianity to us, is tithing central in their Faith as it has become in Africa? Are Africans more materially blessed than them because they tithe, because the message of tithing that disturbs our ears is tied to "once you give to the Lord, you shall be multipled". Sadly tithing has been reduced to MMM format! |
The end awaits all. |
Insightful read. |
Lovely. |
That is human capital development. Knowledge is indeed power. |

Dating does not mean it must end in marriage. Some ladies do see clear signs that the relationship is heading nowhere but still hang on, hoping against all the odds that is stacked against the relationship ending in marriage. |
igbodefender:I know where you are heading to! From the first week of February will be posting twice a week, so much to share. |
Good to escape captivity. |
igbodefender:Am good, Sir. How is your end? |

"There are eight million people walking on the streets of Lagos every minute"... . ![]() |
Got the info too. |
It is no longer tribe, now religion. Traditional worshippers and Atheists should also protest. |
Krisddon:Following what the writer wrote, the security personnel there are stern in not allowing people in, did the herdsmen and the cows scale the fence? |
Hoping they are not packaging for 2019. |
verydark:The owners of those are who am referring to. I still insist their breeds are suitable for ranching they are just merely floating excuses. Go to Israel and see how they have transformed deserts into food baskets. Will the cows they roam around with collapse and die if they are fed while staying in one place? Zero grazing is the way to go after the milk and corn beef that end up in Nigeria are products of zero grazing. Let them not get stuck in their old ways, owners should invest in innovative knowledge. |
verydark:Clear falsehood regarding what they have now is not suitable for ranching! They roam around with livestock worth tens of million and yet still poor ![]() Make I laugh! ![]() |
Someone should please enlighten me on what some of our public universities are doing to internally generate energy for the school community. |
verydark:Why is it someone else's responsibility to build a ranch for the owners of the cows, are they giving out the meat for free? Rather people should be motivated into setting up ranches, the cows becomes productive in terms of milk and beef, their dung provide cooking gas and part of electricity supply in the ranch and the slurry generated from the biodigester serves as organic fertilizer for crops.... so much to gain. |
Atiku2019:Haba this is too cheap a way to hustle for likes and shares! ![]() |
Jochabed:The herdsmen in question did not break into the square to get their cows in but were given access by the security personnel who are workers of Enugu State Tourism Board probably after being "sorted". |
kettykings:How much revenue do your home state generate? |
Arrest fire! |
fluentinfor:Udu simply means clay pot. Here is an excerpt from a webpage. "A tomato starts to rot after two days in the open air. A “desert fridge” keeps it fresh for up to 21 days. Also called a zeer pot or a pot-in-pot refrigerator, this electricity-free mechanism is based on thermodynamics. Consisting of two terracotta pots, sand and water, it uses evaporation to keep food fresh. The zeer is similar to other systems found in regions around the world, such as the matka in India, the botijo in Spain, the uphisi in South Africa, and the garba in Mali. There’s even evidence that the zeer was used in Ancient Egypt and the Indus Valley. In the 1990s, Nigerian teacher Mohammed Bah Abba (I tracked this guy down in 2009 to the North after I read he won the Rolex Awards for Enterprise for coming up with the Pot-in-Pot Preservation Cooling System and needed something sustainable to preserve okra that was wasting away in some communities I worked in, in Anambra State. Unfortunately he was bedridden at that time and finally passed on in 2010) adapted the process to conditions in Africa to help the Sudanese keep their food fresh. Since then, several studies have confirmed its effectiveness in warm, dry climates. In the West, the zeer has several additional advantages: an economic and ecological alternative to refrigerators, it offers a sustainable way of keeping fruit and vegetables fresh. For people who don’t eat animal-based food products, such as vegans, it’s a way of dispensing with ordinary fridges all together. The zeer could also be used in commercial environments, such as markets, or for transporting fruit and vegetables. http://www.livingcircular.veolia.com/en/innovations/desert-fridge-keeps-vegetables-fresh-without-electricity

"While others distanced themselves from intervening in order to avoid being accused of committing sacrilege.........In our town you dare not come close to a masquerade if you are not initiated into the masquerade’s spiritual world, let alone coming to touch the masquerade and that was why the crushed masquerade lied in the pool of his blood for minutes before help came.”.....Why did his fellow "spirits" not come to his aid? Help was not immediately rendered because of a taboo at the expense of human life! Well may his ancestors welcome him to their abode. |
