The usual noise before the silence! ![]() |
whirlwind7:That is why Kenya is not really feeling the pain as it is not tied down to commodities. The economy revolves around tourism conference hosting, agriculture. Also having a huge number of multinationals having Nairobi as their hub. Dollar is becoming cheaper by the day because foreigners/tourists are coming in to spend their currency. Not to talk of the $50 thousands of travellers pay daily for visa on arrival fee. Oil has really messed up our national psyche and have paralysed our capacity to look beyond it. Someone who is a staunch Fayose's acolyte was trying to convince me that Fayose can not re-orient Ekiti state from an economy that rotates around the salaries of civil servants because it would distort the system, that until the monthly allocation from Abuja improves will the state be bouyant! |
Loyalty is far from politics! ![]() |
mikolo80:As per tsetse fly, this link will be informative as it is even spread across Kenya. http://www.kenttec.or.ke/index.php/in-kenya |
"From the statistics, The PUNCH findings revealed that of the 74 candidates that sat for the examination at the FGGC, Bajoga, no one got the basic admission requirement"..........Did they pass the National Common Entrance Examination in the first place? |
mikolo80:Though l have a reservation regarding your absoluteness as per growing Apple in the tropics but let us focus on dairy farming. Dairy farming is thriving across Kenya and all those areas share same climatic conditions with differents parts of Nigeria. It is not because something has not been attempted means it is not possible. l woke up this morning to a 14°C Nairobi and will be going lower in the coming days but it does not stop kolanut trees doing well here! |
yourmmyblack:Am not a novice when it comes to Agriculture.....check my threads and posts. ![]() |
mikolo80:About 60% of Israel is desert but produces 95% of its own food requirements and one of the world's largest exporter of food. Knowledge is the game-changer! |
Consiglier:Nigerians love novelty, install the dispensing machine in Shoprite outlets and see folks on the queue while some will be taking selfies! ![]() |
Good for her. |

Consiglier:Just like most Kenyans regard powder milk as milk for refugees. It is all about mindset. I will prefer whenever l drop by at the supermarket to buy bread and eggs, to also have the option of buying half litre of milk from the milk dispensing machine such as this.

If found to be true, will those affected be demoted? |
There is nothing to DG again! |
Let his competence shine forth, where he is from will be irrelevant. Dora Akunyili of the blessed memory, proved it. |
OP, it is sickle cell not sick cell. |
mikolo80:Kenya With my engagement around Kenya, l insist that the South can do well in dairy farming. |
nicetboy:Post the pictures from Anambra state and stop posting random pictures from the internet! |
mikolo80:For those who wants to see milk production as a business, it part of their production cost. |
mikolo80:A read of the link would help out. http://www.fao.org/news/story/en/item/173224/icode/ |
ThunderingHooves:Innovative marketing. Many supermarkets in Kenya are now attracted to having a Milk dispensing machine (Milk ATM) within their space. Some are owned by the supermarkets while some by another entity that pays the supermarkets for the space being used. There are some who are independent, they own their own space and sell bread, eggs etc alongside the pasteurized milk. The dispensing machines are of varied capacity, 250 litres, 500 litres, 1000 litres.

Media brought this Government to power. |
Jirate:While you have to make do with living under this “Rag Tag” Government for the coming years! ![]() |
The Post-utme exercise is part of IGR for most schools. |
veekid:Why if l may ask? |
While many feel farming is beneath them! Money is not the foremost resource needed to go into Agriculture, it is knowledge. There are threads where Nigerians are using used sacks and unused spaces to grow cucumbers, harvesting fresh looking produce!
|
Glad no life was lost but the building looks like that of a government office building, looking uninspiring! |
redfigure:Which of our local breeds the Fulanis move around with produces 10 litres? |
Disheartening! |
Why should l pay for the birthday card someone is sending me? |
l will prefer tips on how to create a job! |
