Glad many did attempt growing with sacks and some did take us along their journey. Snags were encountered, Knowledge was shared.....fresh looking cucumbers were harvested!

There are so much that same sack can offer. The mind should be triggered and spread beyond cucumbers as tomatoes, cabbages, celery, spring onion, capsicum, aubergine (eggplant) butternut squash, French bean, lettuce, strawberry.....let the imagination run wild, experimenting shapes knowledge.

Also watch the videos there as one of them show a welder using a generator powered by 20% Diesel and 80% biogas. Biogas generated from waste gathered from vegetable section of a nearby market and also cow dung within the farm. Poultry waste generate more biogas than cow dung.

With your poultry waste, you could look into generating biogas from it that could power incubators.

Hmm....there will surely be a bible verse to back it up.....sighs!

Seen it work in Kenya but do not know anything about Nigeria. It sells for about $8 for a complete pack which comprises the trap, lure holder, sticky paper, tutrack sachets which contains the lure. A lure is replaced after 8 weeks. A tutrack sachet on its own sells for $1. 10 traps is recommended for an acre (8 plots)

Yes..... The experience was great.... I proved my doubting cousins wrong as they believed Cukes can only grow in the north.... with this in mind I can now buy the hybrid seeds which will be more resistant to certain diseases and correct my rate of manure application. I guess these were my short comings and I believe this can be a very profitable business. I'm buying cabbage, lettuce and bell peppers seeds to plant.... also considering tomatoes .Will keep the house posted.

I am glad the myth that cucumber, cabbage, lettuce etc only do well in the North is now being dispelled! I recall years back l was arguing with some traders who sell the veggies at Eke Awka Market in Awka, Anambra State that most of the veggies they go up north to buy can be grow locally and they were mocking me!

Our people are good at greetings and congratulations during harvest! There is nothing wrong in sharing the first fruits, they rejoice with you for being productive.

That road was awarded by the last administration on the 3rd of December 2014 and was supposed to be finance from Sure P and appropriation(the road is not in this year's budget), the thief of a contractor sat on it until Bubu probably started looking at his file. Cross River state is better for the road

Thanks for the detailed info. Glad the contractor has been forced back to site, one can only imagine the number of such projects that had been awarded and the contractor absconding. If we as a people can time line projects, situation such as this will be minimized.
