FFK can not be a moral compass nor a model. Someone who refused to be involved in his own daughter's wedding while at the same time co-habiting with a woman as young as his daughters! He is fights for "rule of law" bt not for his skewed family life!

Easter
You really need plan your cultivation so harvest can coincide with the period. Also invest in Post harvest preservation by setting up something like what is in the video, could be on a smaller scale. l believe it would give your cucumbers about extra 2 weeks of freshness after harvest and you will not be forced to sell-off after harvest because of the fear of them getting spoilt.

When are we going to have a grocery store that looks like this?
It only requires planning, from the farmers' group which is the source of supply to selling to end consumers. That should be standards, the farmers knowing that they must supply only pre-agreed quality at certain price per kg. Buyers come in pick the quantity they want and have it weighed and paid for at the till. People get attracted to things unique.

mikeokiro:
@ pavore9 , the redstark apple seedlings you are talking about, is it just the seedlings that is grown from growing the apple seed to a certain height or are you talking about a grafted rootstock/ scion apple baby plant, tell me how possible it is to fruit under 9 months or less than a year after planting ?
Just as l got informed, Its a high breed grafted apple plant, which makes it to mature fast and it is an apple variety certified by the Kenyan Agricultural Research Institute.

These videos can give you a clearer view. The second video do have Swahili without subtitles but the voice over in English would carry through. At the end of the 2 videos you would get a better view of it all.

BusinessRe: 5 Ways Nigerians Can Improve Their Bad Customer Services by Pavore9: 9:39am On Jan 04, 2016
Nice read. This issue of bus conductors and retailers believing that it is the responsibility of the passengers/customers to come with the exact money is irritable. Here in Nairobi, I can boldly buy 2 fingers of bananas for 10 shllings (N20) and give the seller a 1000 shillings note (N2,000) it is the seller's obligation to get the change not mine! angry

Oga @pavore9,
If apple harvesting is only twice in a year, how come we get the same apple in Lagos at same price all through the year (hardly any noticable price variations).

If the red apple, harvested twice a year & imported into Nigeria cld have a stable price, how come our own produce have wide price variations every year? E.g Plantain, Banana, Oranges, Pine-apples, peper, vegetables.

When are we going to start having stable prices for our own Agric products?
It is all about preservation. Most of the Apples that get imported into Nigeria are not freshly harvested, months or maybe a year old but still looking fresh!
