Women's tennis and double faults sha!!! Serena deserves to be spanked, if she loses this match. She rolled over Jelena in the first set in just 22 minutes and started the second set breaking her opponent twice, only to lose the set 5-7. It's a set apiece now. Game On! I'm still rooting for Jelena tho'. |
Davydenko beat Roddick to end his hopes of reaching the finals. I guess getting past Federer takes alot from the Americans. It's safe to say Roger handed Andy the match yesterday, he played crap. Even if Davydenko had met Federer in the QF, he could have ended his own losing streak against him. Perhaps, it's also time to snap his losing streak against Nadal in the final too. In today's women's final, I'm rooting for Jelena. |
What do I think Viee, I think you have to pray Nadal wins the Sony Ericsson Open.Is tennis now interesting to me? Nope. My guys are not in top form. I'm sure Doyin, David, Octopus will be happy with the recent happenings in the men's game. Roddick couldn't have chosen another time to have a go at Roger. At least, every other person is doing so, so far this year. It was mono at first, later it was lack of match fitness, what's it now, Roger? I guess he still needs more matches under his belt. He can take solace in the fact that a healthy Nadal has failed to win a tournament in almost 9 months. Serena's win over Henin, who's also struggling for form this year, isn't impressive enough. Serena needs to do this week in week out. She takes a break and then comes back fresh and starts bullying her opponents. Remember, it's her first win in the last 4 tries again Henin. Let's see whether she'll pass the Jankovic test, at least we got by Kuznetsova. Sharapova, IMO, looks like she may end the year as the number one. We are heading into Henin's fav surface. Who knows, she may gain the momentum and form that she needs. Federer has a whole lot of points to defend. Notwithstanding he will still end up as number one in the ATP ranking. If Djokovic does well in the clay season, he might end up as the year's number one. |
Come, what do u take a church for? Abstinence can only be preached because it is possible. God 4give this poster of this thread |
Mail Dan Foster, he may have answers to your questions. |
JOSE ANTONIO REYES (NO 9) SHIRT WAS NOT AT ALL A MISTAKE BUY. twas unfortunate he was feeling homesick while in England and had to go back to his home country. he might be a striker but wasn't used for that role most of the time. He had a very very high workrate and was a teamplayer. He was equally matching up to Henry in terms of importance if not for his injuries. HE WAS FANTASTIC. and saying he missed that goal again REAL is not a point to reckon with. We've seen more marvelous and terrific misses. Check out Arsenal-LMoscow at the Emirates last season (cesc, rosicky, et al), and a couple of other games (even in other clubs). Abeg, leave the guy o! I realised this thread has had birthdays, but Crouch is an improved player. He's gt a good finishing, terrific shootings, and a good use of the head with his height advantage, ![]() |
this is very pathetic and indeed scary

What a shame! Best display yet the worst match ever in this tournament by the super "fouls". 10-man Ghana beat Nigeria. It's a pity! Shittu, Osaze, Uche, u'll have another chance in Angola. You guys tried. Nwaneri was just a man short, giving away balls. |
Na wah oh! |
Oh my world! ![]() |
Is this ref from Ghana? |
Goaaaaaaaaal! Yak does it again! |
phew!!! what else can I say? Up Next, Hewitt - Baghdatis. |
The fans of these two will surely give it to their players. Definitely! But the fact still remains that they can't be compared. As much as Cee wont do better that Cesc in the central midfield, so also Cesc wont play better in the wings compared to Cee. So Mr. Poster, u can do a better job by comparing players that play d same role on the pitch. Imagine comparing Ronaldo (brazil) with Zidane ![]() |
Na lie! we no be like England. At least we dey win at other levels even if not at senior level We still win World cup this year! |

Think about this: The next premier league match will be played at home to wigan. The next matches in the premier league will be away to Aston Villa, away to Newcastle (the outstanding match which shld take us 3 points clear - if won and away to Middlesborough), i guess twill be better to miss the home match than to miss the away crucial matches. As a matter of fact, Fabregas didn't grab that arm in a flash of temper. He didn't do it to prevent a breakaway where Reading might score and draw the game, I guess he did it deliberately. The commission was kinda professional, u work out when to be suspended. |

Masters Cup: The draws for the men was made earlier today. Defending champion Roger Federer, a three-time winner of the circuit-finale, will challenge Nikolay Davydenko, Andy Roddick and Fernando Gonzalez in Red Group round robin action. World No. 2 Rafael Nadal will begin proceedings on Sunday, November 11, against Richard Gasquet, who was the last to secure his Shanghai invitation. The pair was also drawn against Novak Djokovic and Ferrer in the Gold Group. https://img406.imageshack.us/img406/4645/2007lowresdx7.jpg Easy group, kind of, for Roger. Roddick had better withdraw now than later and allow Bandy show us more of the stuff he's made of. |
Breaking News!!! Serena withdraws from the championship. There won't be any match between her and Justine - a match I was looking forward to. What a pity! ![]() Anyways, Henin has progressed to the semi-finals. She beat Jankovic 6-2, 6-2, extending her head to head record to 9 - 0.
