I’m hearing that Senegal may be thrown out of the World Cup due to FIFA and CAF “rules” that impose a minimum of 4-game suspensions for national teams that walk off from competitive matches without the authorization of the referee. 🙆🏽‍♂️😲

But the mitigating factor in Senegal’s favor is that they all returned to the field after 10 minutes, and not all Senegalese players walked off the pitch.

A sports complex of National stadium capacity will be upwards of $450m

It depends on factors such as cost of importation of the materials, the cost of their import, cost of labor etc.
The Moroccans spent only $75 million to construct the 69,000 capacity stadium that just hosted the AFCON final. And when you factor in the cost of labor, which wouldn’t be much different than what you have in Naija, it’s entirely feasible to budget between 90 - 110 billion for 60k capacity arena in Naija

Yes, as with most Naija govt projects. But I think this one was “only” inflated by $4-$5 million..

Ndidi can play at next year’s AFCON, but that should be his last tournament for the Super Eagles. Then, if we qualify for the 2030 WC, the dude in the Czech league, Nnadi, Iwobi, Carney Chukwuemeka (if FIFA approves his switch) could form the nucleus of our midfield at that tournament.

As for Onyedika, from what I’ve seen, he can only thrive in matches where our opponents are either parking the bus or playing counter-attacking football. He cannot thrive in a game where the opponents press high up the pitch and/or engage in mid-pressing.

Despite Nigeria and Egypt not being happy, CAF has confirmed that the team winning the bronze medal will have to wait and travel to Rabat to receive their medals on Sunday.

A long wait for some players, but the celebration will still come! 👏

To be honest, our case is shaky. It basically calls on FIFA to examine whether DRC followed DRC law in giving out citizenships to those players.
