There are about 23 million civilian employees of the federal, state and local governments.
Of that number, 11 million work in the education sector, with roughly 6.7 million working as administrators.
Now, with the eventual dismantling of the federal education department, I foresee a massive layoff of administrators; or tax hikes by states and/or local governments to both keep the present number of administrators and fund the maintenance of educational facilities and salaries of teachers. This is because a huge chunk of the education-related budget of the states and local governments (cities and counties) are drawn from the federal purse. |

Terrorists are running wild in Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Plateau, Benue, and Borno, yet no state of emergency. But in Rivers, where people are more focused on music, dance, and politics, they suddenly remember “security concerns.”
This isn’t about peace or governance—it’s about control. Tinubu and his people see Rivers as a goldmine, and they’re doing everything to seize it before 2027. If it were really about security, the military would be chasing bandits, not interfering in state politics.
Rivers people must wake up! This is not just politics—it’s a direct attack on their future. If they don’t fight back legally and politically, they’ll wake up one day to find their state completely hijacked. |

cococandy: Trump’s spiritual advisor indicted for child sex crimes.
Birds of a feather.
If you’re not a perpetrator of child sexually abuse or willing to look the other way, you have no place in Trump’s team. Seems like it’s a requirement. Daamn! I knew the so-called leaders of the “religious right” were a scam, but engaging in child trafficking is a whole new level of filth! |

IjeBos: Do you agree? I think for most of those things, they were Presidential decisions. Presidents have the sole power to do all that and Presidents appoint the CIA director, so should be fully aware of all covert foreign actions. If they weren't in the loop on those things, that is a big problem. Oh I disagree with him because all presidents, as you said, are in the loop on any covert action taken by either CIA or Special Forces personnel |

Both American parties are obsessed with culture war issues because they serve to mask the reality:
That US "democracy" is a carefully-maintained myth, American power is not subject to votes, and the actual issues that affect America's place in the world are NEVER on any ballot, and are overseen mostly by unelected people.
No American ever voted for USAID to be used as a foreign intelligence slush fund funding armed groups in the Sahel and kids propaganda cartoons in Central Asia. No American ever voted for the CIA to go around killing African presidents and terrorising populations. No American ever voted for NED to carry out regime change in Nigeria in 2015, and pauperise the Nigerian economy.
But the US government did all of those things and continues to do them because the US government - the actual institution, not the elected figureheads running around - are NOT subject to any "democratic" process. In fact Trump's biggest problem will be the inevitable realisation that he can sign as many executive orders as he wants, but the unelected US bureaucracy remains at least as powerful as the elected president, and will definitely outlast him.
This is all theatre. — David Hundeyin |

A consequence of the dismantling of the federal department of education is that state and local governments would have to step up in addressing the resulting funding gaps in their public K-12 schools. Now, the expected federal funding shortage may have to be made up by… you guessed it right…steep increases in property taxes 🙆🏽♂️ |

lovewins: She was fantastic for the tourney. Followed the tournament so I know. The funny part is she did all of that coming from the bench. She's menace on defence and can be a problem when her offence gets going. Yeah, even from the season-long highlights I watched, I could tell she is a special talent. She would be a nice asset for D’Tigress too, as a possible backup to Amukamara and Kalu |
