It depends on the club. Just like regular jobs, health insurance premiums may be deducted from his pay check (which partly pays for healthcare costs), whilst the club pays the remainder of the cost of the surgery

🚨 I'm told that the new Football Governance Bill will stop licensed clubs from joining breakaway competitions. So there is no chance of Premier League teams joining a rebel Super League unless they want to be THROWN OUT of English football.

I imagine this is all subject to legal challenge in the UK courts if someone wanted to go down that road.

It will surely be challenged up to the European Court of Justice, which would inevitably rule that the UK law (if the bill ever becomes law) is a breach of EU law
