Uniquexty: I'm jst coming from the bank. They need a certificate frm cac confirming d association. I have two functional accounts. UBA and first bank. I use only the UBA account, d first bank is fallow. I dnt knw if we can use it. Bt i need everybody's approval on this please. This is Nigeria and i knw how we think. Yes, the account is functional and pratically empty. I can sacrifice it. Once we get our own acc, we'l transfer al d money. The bank wil have their statement and everybody shld pls kip their teller. We can use it 2 pay our fees until we realise enuf money to start up. Suggestions pls
They need a certificate from CAC confirming the assoc...ok...DailyNews, I think new members who want to join should b encouraged to pay in2 Quexty's accnt. By keeping their tellers, we'll still know hw much we'v made any day yet. I feel we should do this so dt we would raise some money for d xonal meets. We must also start drafting a constitution rt now, and as4d CAC registeration, a contributory fee tabled first day of our meet is in order. Already working on a draft constitution sample...

Uniquexty: My next post should be on our account details. Dubem, if we have zonal acc's, dnt u tink it wnt be cordinated? Its beta we have jst one. At least dis is a civilised world were evrytin goes in a civilised way. If u have any money 2 pay, go 2 d bank and make ur payment and get a teller. Abt d BLACK BOOK,to whom it may concern, u guys shldnt get me wrong pls. I was jst trying 2 make a point concerning our need 4 money. I wasnt necessarily sayin dat evrybody must get d book. Infact, let me modify dat post and erase it. One minute pls *walks away*
WOW...to whom it may concern...that should be me, I guess...and that means one thing...Unique, hope I didn't say anything stupid in my last post? OK...

Uniquexty: POTUT was trying to talk abt a periodic fee for all members. Maybe monthly or yearly, which is not bad. As a member, u shld knw dat by d end of d year, u r entitled 2 pay a fee of so so so amount. U present ur teller nd get a receipt. We do dat even in school. If we must register our club, publish books, own a website etc even purchase a copy of THE BLACK BOOK, we nid money nd we cant jst depend on d new members. I believe dat all these suggestions we r making here r stil wot we'l discus at d zonal meeting. So lets trash it out here nd start implementation at d zonal meetings. I only wish dis was a more private site. Anyway, i jst made my tiny suggestion.
LOL...purchasing a copy of my novel should be a private affair...pls could have brought free copies but have given all these away. Spent some dollars to purchase some copies from Amazon.com
In support of yearly fees.

Uniquexty, will b coming with some copies of THE BLACK BOOK to the SE zonal meeting come 28th July. Already ordered the copies from the US. Subsidizing its $22 price tag. Each will b just N2600. Now, back to our discussion...
LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by Peaceworld(m): 10:09am On Jun 24, 2012
POTUT: I am in support of a general registration fee. In addition to that, we should also agree on a periodic fee and a professional/occupational audit of all members in order to facilitate intelligent division of labor within ourselves.
We can achieve this, especially if we still keep the gates open until we meet in July.
Let's not call it a general registeration fee. It should be a contributing fee... Support but there was free registeration for those who joined up till now, that's why I support Emyo as well...

LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by Peaceworld(m):
DailyNews: Thank you emyo...of course we are not going to accept new prospects...they should hold till we are through with the zonal meetings come 28th July 2012. After the zonal meetings, we can then decide at the meeting the fate of new prospects wishing to join. I know my fellow Nigerians, I have been in leadership positions right from secondary school till NYSC, and even at church, and I know Nigerians....many had been seing this & thought it was a childsplay, & waiting to join when everything has been made smooth; they hate to walk through the path of life, to scale through the hurdles of life, Nigerians just want easy free things...& believe me, if this association must hold, it can never be free & easy for prospective members...& even for members it won't be easy if we must achieve our goals. Therefore, all documented members (those who have returned their forms) should pls suggest what should be done about new entrants...to me, we cannot keep sending out forms to new entrants who only come here to say: I want to join, here is my email...& at the end they will never return the form or get committed after they receive the form. Pls this is an association & not a one-man business like emyo rightfully said in his post, so we need every active member to make a suggestion on how we should handle new entrants, & any other issue you wish to raise. But for now, we are no longer accepting new entrants, pls all new entrants should hold their peace for now until members decide on what to do. We are not here to play, we are on a serious business to achieve our goals & not to catch fun. Emyo & uniquexty pls take note...do not send any form to anybody again from now on. Thank you...
OK Dailynews, I'm suggesting a small entrant fee like N500 for new applicants. The club should also open a joint account in a reputable bank like Diamond Bank. This account will be signed open by the club founder n those who saw the direction your idea was going in the first place like Uniquexty, Emyo, and yours truely. Remmber we need to properly register this club with CAC n that money will come from somewhere and talking of the initial four above signing the joint account, I felt the four I mentioned deserve to be carried along properly in the workings of this club because they r the ones I see really giving their all for this. I for one, I'm working to bring in young members, talkless of the logo we're using...rmmber? By the way sir, this is just a suggestion on my part. The Four and members, the brainstorming is still on...however you, Dailynews, can open an ad hoc account for now until we can properly meet (The Four) I trust you, my dear, cuz I think I see sincere honesty in you. Open the account and table the account number here so that who wants to join will go n pay into the accnt and come tell us here b4 dropping his email. Also ur confirming he or she has paid the N500 fee right here will help tell us how much we've got in our coffers. I say N500 entrant fee for now because we still need to make membership attractive...brainstorming still on, though...cheesy

Quickly both men went to work on their toy, gratifying themselves with all debased methods imaginable as they forced her into positions too painful to mention here. After this, they drew their daggers and started stabbing her all over, ignoring her pleas for mercy and cries of pain.
It was then that the hiding girl’s baby screamed loudly and they realized it was in the room. Then they saw the footmarks, and her cowering figure.
She bolted for the door as they lunged for her. This door was behind them and their size was an advantage, so they easily caught her and separated her from her son. A third man came in and grinned at her.
“Vezdel al Thura!” he called out to his other two friends in his island tongue. “We have found her!” A vice-like grip clamped down on the girl’s arm.
“Before she dies, let us avail ourselves of this opportunity!” growled the man that had discovered the footprints. “Let us taste ROYALTY!” And he cut her dress from neck down with his weapon, ignoring her screams. The third man flung her child into grass at the corner of the room and grabbed her legs.
They should have killed the baby first, for the next moment, the demon bird was screeching sharply in the room, blinding the third man and attacking one of his colleagues. The other fellow raised his dagger to strike the frightened princess.
And abruptly lost interest in this.
Because a bizarre, living, thick, white fog had suddenly groped into the compartment to drown its occupants!
Confusion broke out! The girl heard her aggressors screaming as their daggers clattered to the wooden floor! The three men started struggling fearfully and, even though she could not see what was happening due to the smog, she realized they were fighting for their lives with an adversary more powerful than their swords and skills! She was pushed to the floor and realized it was painted with blood!
Outside, the same fog persisted everywhere, throwing everybody into wild turmoil. At first it had been a slow, dead wind, which arose from the north, picking up speed as it approached that cursed island. Since this was not the time for the North Wind, the soldiers on land had been a little surprised at the sudden gust from that direction, although this never deterred them from their wicked mission.
Almost as soon as it had started, the wind had then died down and the weather had eerily changed. A mist had then emerged from the north to creep onto Zewel and the ongoing bloodshed taking place there.
It quickly spread over the length of the island, its thickness clinging to the atmosphere like the claws of a phantom tiger and smothering out every fire! The sense of sight became useless to both man and beast – the epic dread now for both the mortals being killed and those killing them! Everybody was on his or her knees, grappling with the ground and the thick, white mist that had isolated each person from the outside world. The people thought the Great Disease had finally come to Earth to destroy all those it had failed to infect in the past. They could not even pray to their gods in their bewilderment!
Howling with the voice of a hungry wind as it devoured raw flesh; it was more terrifying than the slaughtering being carried out not long ago by the king’s army, engulfing Zewel and its surrounding waters in its thick, white, ghost-like fumes. And all in an instant, the scenario became that of flailing limbs severed from their owners’ bodies and vanishing into nothing; dangling heads, which disappeared into these fumes as soon as they were cut; and bloodied skeletons that looked ghostly in their uniforms! For the living mist was a flesh eater, devouring every mortal in Ytzar attire and on that very island at that very moment! It spared none of them, just as they had shown no Zewelian mercy!
Suddenly the shouting stopped.
And as quickly as it had filled the room, the living smoke disappeared.
On the blood-drenched wooden floor, three bloody skeletons dressed in Ytzar gear, and a naked woman, who was bleeding badly and coughing depressingly, were revealed. The girl retrieved her baby and covered the dying Salakaty with her own velvet robe, the least she could do for the woman.
Now she ascended onto the ship’s deck.
It was the same story.
The dead and dying lay everywhere amidst bloody, well-picked skeletons in soldier attire, which were strewn around as if caught in the midst of a terrible spirit storm! It must have been a curse from the gods, she thought, as she and the big man that had talked with her before they left Zewel helped the survivors to their feet, staring at their white faces in bewilderment. What must have happened to their attackers within those last few seconds of struggle aboard the burning ship? A mystery it was, even to the ship’s captain, who was surprised at the fire-killing power of the terrible fog that had come to his ship’s rescue.
He would have been more surprised were he ashore and alive at that very moment, for more skeletons littered Zewel than his ship’s deck, and more blood had been spilled on it than on this same wooden deck. Those that survived the massacre had already started a worship ceremony for Vacran, who was the light immortal of War, because to them, it was he that had saved them through this mysterious happening that day. This…Dvouraga or ‘Flesh Eater!’ There was no other plausible reason, not even the presence of the demon bird of a lesser light immortal, which was still hovering above Zewel.
And aboard the fleeing ‘Eyezdar,’ the Pergushian princess, whose fate alongside her baby’s had hung in the balance some moments ago, faced south with fellow worshippers and bowed down to Tatran, the light immortal of Kindness, for so far keeping her child protected and safe.
Her own duty was to continue this protection by banishing the past from her heart and mind, no matter the cost and consequences, and with every resolve.
For her, Agat Zudi was no more.
LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by Peaceworld(m): 10:12am On Jun 18, 2012
From a vantage point below deck, the girl watched the hell that was now the East Port as the ship distanced itself from shore. The scene was as gruesome as the one she had missed at Agat Zudi. A kaleidoscope of burning buildings, screaming humans and animals was painted across the coastline as she scanned the area.
A sizeable number of people had remained behind, and they were all being killed! The soldiers enjoyed themselves by using the sea as a mass grave, laughing and shouting as they did their job. Disgustingly, the girl saw a laughing Ytzar slit a woman’s throat as he violated her, throwing her body into the sea afterwards!
It appeared that these men from the king’s army were drunk with the lust to kill and spill blood after their theatre on the inner settlements of the island. They were raping and slaughtering every woman and child they came across on this once-peaceful port of whoredom.
Nobody was being spared.
Not even the men that refused to question their authority!
All of a sudden, the girl’s attention was drawn to a scream from deck as someone fell into the sea. There was commotion aboard for something uneasy was happening.
Then she saw the boat!
Some of the Ytzars had seized vessels and were heading for the ships nearest the accursed island, firing arrows at them and yelling with their swords drawn as their boats drew nearer. Gripped with fear, the girl moved away from the open with her baby and observed this craft through a wooden aperture. The captain was urging his sailors below to row with all their might. The situation was that dire!
How did they know that she was there? Perhaps they followed her through the tunnel after forcing out information from one of the servants at Agat Zudi. Her footprints and those of her companion in the secret tunnel would not have helped matters either! Disguised as traders, they must have looked for her throughout the port when they realized that she was there.
The men on the boats started throwing hangers aboard these unfortunate ships under the watchful eyes of their archers. A third one landed on deck and the girl could hear the ship’s sailors shouting as they tried to cut them off. More impaled bodies fell into the sea.
The black hawk from Ocrus was still circling above Zewel as a silent observer to this mayhem now fully unleashed on this once-beautiful island of Pergush by her new king. However, its interest had shifted more to the last ship to leave the island, which was now being attacked at sea by fighters wearing the well-known Ytzar crescent of the Star Elders. The girl was aboard that ship and it had a responsibility as a messenger from the gods to see that no harm came to her. But what must it do? Already, its master – the lesser light immortal, Ocrus – had started interacting with a higher immortal on this issue, and hence it only had to stave off the attack on the girl’s ship until help came, but how?
The Star Elders were a very large group of fearless and dexterous men who got their orders directly from the throne. They had been at the forefront of every difficult battle Pergush had ever fought in her many wars, and were, arguably, the best soldiers in the army. Their leaders were known as Zuvuns, another band of brave fighters who had reached their zenith through the art of war, and had fighting skills no known army could ever rival. They also filled the ranks of the king’s personal guards because of this, and wielded enormous power wherever they decided to lay waste!
At this time, what was happening ashore had been forgotten by those aboard the troubled ships, because they were facing their own terror. To them, the people on the port had all been killed and it was their own turn to be attacked.
Now the girl could see the grinning faces of the soldiers on the boat. They were preparing to board the ship and most of them were making sexual gestures at the women onboard. One of the other ships was already on fire, its occupants jumping from it to their deaths in utter fright. An arrow buried itself some distance from her feet and a strange thumping sound came from her chest as tears whirled up from her eyes. Her lips started moving as she started praying to Tatran.
However, there was a new defender for the ship’s occupants! A black hawk had attacked the Star Elders clinging to the three remaining hangers and was making things difficult for them! Arrows fired at this extraordinary bird simply passed through it as if it did not exist, and its strikes were swift and blunt, injuring grossly and deeply as it fluttered about the attackers. This occurrence prevented some of the fighters from taking on the hangers, but others did. And although some did not make it, those who did encouraged the fearful ones to try.
As soon as the Ytzars were onboard, they drew their swords and came at the sailors on deck. These did not hold their ground at all and were cut down as they fled. The demon bird flew up to help in the battle that it must fight, and was able to draw some fire away from the ship’s helpless and weaponless sailors.
The soldiers started down the ladders hooked to the deck, drawing blood from every mortal on their way. The girl rushed into another cabin to hide in a box with her baby, using her velvet robe to muffle the sound of his crying. Already, blood spilled on deck was sipping through the wooden structure and dripping onto the floor, and in her anxiety, she did not see the bloody footprints her sandals marked out on the floor, plainly directing any intruder to her hideout.
And as soon as she was settled in, the door burst open and two huge and bearded Star Elders with blood-stained swords lumbered in, one dragging along a naked woman. The noise they made covered the still-audible but muffled whining of her child; the woman’s screams an incongruous blessing to the hiding Sesra.

An invincible fortress of the kingdom, which was partly hewn out of a mountain and partly constructed by mortal man, it had been the castle residence of Pergushian princesses since four hundred years!
The castle had within its walls a magnificent palace built by Pergushian kings of old to ensure the safety of their daughters during wars they waged with their neighbours, and the small stream of Tamiah, which passed through Agat Zudi on its way to the Great Sea, equally passed through this palace with the beautiful plants on its banks.
The palace was still a splendid, standing symbol of Megdourian tyranny in the islands, and it was here that they had thought she would be found hiding.
The bird witnessed equestrians firing flaming arrows over the barred gates as the king’s heavy slings sent huge stones smashing into its curtain walls. The pitiable screams of the castle’s defenders falling to their graves from her walls during this onslaught could be heard far out at sea. No soul would be spared! That was a certainty!
The creature from Ocrus did not stop here, but continued across the down-sloped hills behind the castle and over the Great Forest, its eyes raking the scenery below for signs of life all this while. Here, there was no mortal in sight and a peaceful atmosphere persisted. The thin road that meandered its way from the castle to the East Port was also unoccupied, but unperturbed, the demon bird circled above.
The East Port was renowned for Salakaty trade in Pergush and was home for over one hundred and ten whorehouses along the Zewelian coast. It was one of the best prostitution markets in the kingdom; the greedy sex merchants who daily flocked to it for their lascivious business knew this. One could get all kinds of Salakaty slaves in this place, and at very cheap prices, too. More so, the whorehouses strategically located there allowed customers to ‘test’ their ‘goods’ before buying them. This was the main function of the port to the people, although it could also be a wonderful escape route for a princess and her baby, judging from its proximity to Agat Zudi.
Suddenly the bird’s sharp sense of sight caught movement down below and at the edge of the forest! It flapped nearer to investigate and discovered that it was correct once again.
For a figure was emerging from a hole on the ground. Most probably, the mouth of the secret escape tunnel of Agat Zudi, and with her was a blonde-haired baby. The hawk screeched and she looked up, startled at the horrendous sight she saw doggedly watching her.
The girl’s plan had been very simple. Dressed as a Salakaty or Pergushian harlot with the rich, green velvet, which was a symbol of that degrading, but enchanting, trade, she had secretly entered the tunnel with the boy and a trusted maidservant. Of course, she knew it would lead her through the Great Forest, away from its unwholesome collection of fearsome-looking Asiak horses and many dangers, and out near the East Port. None of the soldiers she hoped not to come across would notice any unusual thing because at the East Port, any girl carrying a child was presumed a LovePeddler with her bastard baby, which was a common sight there.
However, unknown to the girl, the king had equally ordered the death of every Salakaty in Zewel along with every child she was with at the time! This was because he knew that the East Port could become her only point of escape in the end. His soldiers were only trying to prevent the mistaken murder of their mistresses by delaying the certain onslaught of the port dwellers while secretly passing the message across to the whorehouses along the coast. Hence, pandemonium had already broken out at the port before the Sesra and her companion arrived there!
Majority of the ships were packed full and leaving because the harlots had very little time to escape and were making the most out of it. Even their men were going with them, although some had chosen to stay back along with the more stubborn prostitutes.
The sex merchants were organizing their own departure as well, not wanting their businesses to suffer any losses. They were shifting their trade to Circush.
And as the great hawk watched from above, the maidservant with the girl left her and entered another vessel with her own baby. She had been told what to do when she got to the agreed island.
And aboard one of the last vessels to leave port, her mistress watched Zewel with sad eyes as it diminished in the distance. It was probably the last time she would ever see this beloved island, which had been her home for as long as she could ever remember. A huge man was with her and he talked with her for a while and hugged her before leaving her alone.
The black bird had followed her until she was safely aboard the wooden craft. Now it just hovered above some distance behind this ship, still waiting and still present. The girl wondered why it was there. Was it a guard sent by the gods to see her through this? Alternatively, was it an omen? A sign of more bad things to befall her?
Suddenly, someone on deck announced the sighting of the first wave of equestrians assigned to that area. Those ashore could not fathom the importance of this warning because they had ignored the earlier news of the ongoing massacre in the inner communities. They had decided that these were only rumors and had nothing to do with them – their new king could never undertake such a drastic action, even if he had killed one of theirs to get to the throne. Moreover, they could not see as far as the sharp lookout aboard the ship could see, hence, they did not know the fierceness of the party about to engage them. They only heard the braying horses and wondered whether another prisoner had escaped from the military dungeons, and before they could ever realize it, death was upon them, swords drawn and hooves galloping away!

Something to enjoy today, guys and girls, from me to you. Prologue of my upcoming erotic fantasy novel, The Last Consort. Enjoy!

The black hawk swooped down from the great sky into the Adrianasin Belt, its piercing, hawkish eyes easily scouring the planes underneath this earthly blanket. It had sensed a rare upheaval emanating from the aura of the mortals down below, and its master had decided to allow it investigate this unusual happening in the course of its earthly journey.
The bird was an uncommon breed from the abode of the light immortal, Ocrus, and was well known for lust for things dead, as well as an uncanny tenth sense. Its master frequently sent it out on errands that usually brought back dead bodies to his death temple. Bodies that, otherwise, would have been left to rot and suffer the souls of their owners on Earth for eternity.
As the gloomy creature flew lower and lower down into man’s world, it caught sight of Zewel, which was also known as the Island of the Princesses, and Gem of Pergush. And it was here that the bird’s instincts were proven true, for down below, chaos reigned!
Here and there, a wooden house fell from the heavy burden of burning as its occupants screamed out of hiding and to their deaths, for the soldiers killed freely! Now and then a small child was lifted high away from his or her parents and a sharp Ytzar sword pushed into him or her, blood spurting out copiously from his or her small mouth even as the fleeing figure of his or her mother was stopped from behind by a thrown dagger! And from time to time, several soldiers burst forth from a house while in hot pursuit of an occupant, and usually caught up with him or her to gregariously stab him or her to death while laughing and shouting in ironically bizarre excitement!
The smoke was adding to the confusion, stinging the eyes and making seeing as well as fleeing difficult. Occasionally, a girl rubbing her eyes emerged from it and was seized by one or two soldiers, who proceeded to tear off her clothing and defile her in the presence of all before severing her head and discarding her tortured body for the galloping horses to trample on!
This was never an isolated occurrence.
All across the island, women and children were withstanding the worst of this onslaught, because the major reason for the massacre was a woman and her baby. This obviously meant that most of the men were left alone, watching haplessly and with long faces as their wives and children were slaughtered before them. Those that failed to obey this ritual went down with their prized possessions, and some that did obey were still callously butchered to death.
All these the spirit bird observed pensively as it soared over the intense smoke from many blazing structures spread across the small island. The flying messenger was witnessing more dead bodies than it had ever thought of considering for the death temple, even though it was not counting the dying ones wounded by their own kind as pools of their precious blood slowly encircled them. It knew that the epidemic ravaging man at this time, which had been its original reason for coming down to his world for dead bodies, had never killed so many and would never do so.
It was a sad thing that the mortals would forever be their own worst enemy, since there was so much anger and hate in their world! Up and down the length of the island, the screams and cries of those whose loved ones were no more, or who had little time to live themselves, could be heard echoeing far out onto the raging sea. There was so much pain on this island that day, and one could percieve the people’s fear because it was etched on their faces.
It was now obvious to the messenger from Guder that the occupants of Zewel were being massacred, and only the authorities, along with those who controlled all the events that must happen in a man’s life, knew why. The spirit bird understood that the riders were simply obeying orders, and slaying every female and child on the island along with any man that ever dared them was part of it, even if they had the disease!
The intention was to make their target become so scared that scampering out into the open and attempting escape became her only option, though the black bird also knew that they had misjudged her, for she was more frightened of revelation and the instant death that faced the boy than the radical killing of innocent people!
Presently, it flew over Agat Zudi, which stood on solid foundations atop a mountain with the same name.

Liking this the more as the days fly by. Emyo, good job, man. Sadly, it seems naija female writers are still scared of coming out n grabbing this wonderful opportunity. Seriously, they should prove me wrong, cuz I DARE THEM...lghs...maybe they feel they don't have what it takes, which is downright incredible...

Uniquexty: I cast my vote 4 emyo as south east repre. We have a new female member. South east. She's in abakaliki. I got in touch wit Elechi Amadi. I guess he wants us 2 get a hold of something first. Get ourselves organized before he gets on us. Dats my area report.
Hope ur right about Emyo...we need someone who has the club's progress at heart...lol

I am really happy having such an ambitious lady like you among us. We really love & appreciate u uniquexty!

DailyNews: The site is cool, just that the logo graphic is somewhat poor, but I like the design. We will surely need a nice site after our official launch, but like how much should be our budget for a professional site that can allow us carry out certain activities such as: containing all member profiles including pic, short story & poetry section, archives, events with photo gallery, manuscript submission with database management, and some other minor stuffs? Like how much should we be looking at for such a site that will also load very fast?
OK...will get back to you on this...but my friend wasn't the guy who did the logo...he got it from the owners of the website before embarking on the site design. It's just the design we're talking of here. The logo is an image that can always be modified. Will get back to you on your questions...tk
