Kinkybraids: Your gf is not a sex addict you are just lazy. Lets do the math
You guys have been dating for 8 months right, had sex 16 times or more ...so that means that on average you guys have sex 2 times a month
Um no offence but 16 times even in one month isnt much... thats like 4 times a week which is okay for new couples.
I'm sorry but you need to increase your appetite |

This is pure ignorance, apc isn't a geographical region and the ss and se are 99% christian. What muslim will they choose among them? Where as apc is a national party that can pick from all parts od the country but only gives posts and nominations to muslims ka chineke mezie okwu! |

Keenysbojan: I have been wondering why Nigerian students always use the word 'i was like ok' in every of their saying... I found it difficult to believe that 'i was like ok' is a correct short sentence, in English...
because I have sat down and think about this all over and over and over, and through research I found that there is no short sentence in English, like 'i was like ok'.. but some Nigerians are so terrible when it comes to the aspects of speaking or writing standard English...
A student of unilorin came to meet my big bro at home, and he said I have been trying your number since I left Lagos and I WAS LIKE OK LET ME CALL YOUR YOUNGER BROTHER TO CONFIRM..
immediately,I felt the 'spirit of bad English' in what he said above... since then I have been searching,I have been asking those who are highly educated and those who study English in universities.. if the use of I WAS LIKE OK is good to speak..
to nairelanders do any of you have anything to say about this topic... share your own points of view and let some 'BAD English speaker(s)' learn from you.. thanks
Yours Faithfully k e e n y s b o j a n THE MISTAKE IS YOURS. THOUGH MY FIELD OF STUDY IS SOME LIGHT YRS AWAY FROM ENGLISH BUT I KNOW THAT IF YOU HAD USED UR INVERTED COMA VERY WELL YOU WOULD HAVE : ' I WAS LIKE, "OK LET ME CALL HIS...".' INSTEAD OF: I WAS LIKE OK LET ME.... MOREOVER TAKE A SECOND LOOK AT UR SECOND PARAGRAPH - "...because I have sat down and THINK about...". IF YOU'VE GOTTA GLASS JAW YOU BETTER WATCH YA MOUTH...LOOSE PUNCHES ABOUND! |

Politics › Re: Why Don't We Have BBC Igbo Or Yoruba Service by Pecca: 11:26pm On Apr 11, 2013 |
Eziachi: Because many Igbos and Yorubas understands spoken English and apart from the Nigerian territory or small portion Bein republic, there are no other place you find the Igbos and Yorubas, unlike Hausa language spoken in over 10 countries. Its simple economic. Market audience. in other words, most of our hausa neighbours do not understand the queen's grammer? No wonder our independence got delayed until 1960...after the enahoro, of blessed memory, syndrom. |

I think you guys miss something here. Take some time to look at the national budget. You will find out that The personnel cost for all the civil servant put together is not our problem but overhead costs. We should be striving to prune overheads and leave 'em civil servants alone. I tell you if this is done civil service jobs will become unattractive because there will be virtually no excess cash to steal. As for Sanusi he is am opportunist. Let him open CBN up for probe and the stench will make a cess-pit green with envy. Na politics dem de call that hin tactics |

jamace: Are you sure of that correction?
See below:
Singular present tense: (If Patrick is to be a teacher....) = singular past tense: (If Patrick was to be a teacher....)
Plural present tense: (If they are to be teachers ...) = Plural past tense: (If they were to be teachers)
I feel the OP is right. Otherwise convince/confuse me. Yeah! He is correct. WERE is used when an imaginary event or rather an action that could have been but could not! |
