Last week my friend, Wale woke up hurriedly and prepared for work. He worked in a busy institution and was expected early at work. His wife worked a distance from where her husband’s office was.

As a result of doing things in a hurry, Wale unknowingly, carried his wife's mobile phone leaving behind his own. After he had gone his wife Funmi noticed the mix-up but it was too late for her to do anything about it. She thought for a while and decided to carry her husband's phone in case he came back for it.

On arriving at his place of work Wale noticed that he had confused his wife's phone for his but decided not to go back for it. He sighed deeply because he knew his wife could access romantic messages sent by his many mistresses.

His wife too was disgusted because she had several toy boys.

Drama began to unfold when Wale received an SMS intended for his wife sent by somebody saved as ‘John-Taxi’, which read, "Hi sweetie, hope yo monin’ is fine, 4 me am okay just mad! My love 4 you kills me. I couldn't stop dreaming about you even after we met last evening coz you hold the password to ma heart." Wale was shocked to see this and thought he understood why his wife had come home late the previous evening. He decided to stay mum to see what more would come.

After one hour he received another SMS from somebody saved as ‘Susan-Salon’ which read, “Monin darling, hope ur fine, am also fine but not so fine without seeing you next to me coz you control every part of ma heart. Nice day sweetie, see you at lunch.”

The third SMS ticked in from somebody saved as ‘Kemi-Handbags’ which read, "Monin ma beautiful queen, I wish you were a gum, I would chew you every time, you make me feel young like I was born yesterday, you without whom I would go on a hunger strike. Have a bright day ma dear."

Wale was deeply shocked by these messages but knew that on the other side his wife might be seeing drama too.

Meanwhile, Funmi had seen even more than her husband. She had received three messages from three women that clearly showed they were his mistresses. The first SMS was from a woman saved as ‘Friday-Car wash’ which read, “Hi deah how's ur monin? 4 me am okay with ur son here, he says he loves you so much n you should come n stay with us. gday."

Funmi almost fainted on seeing this because she could not believe that her husband had a son outside marriage.

Before her anger was over, she received a second SMS from' ‘Benson- Mechanic’ which read, “Monin ma deah, hope ur enjoyin ur day. Mine can't be complete without you. Every time I sleep in this house you bought 4 me I dream 2 love u always. The BM u bought me is perfect on road. Thanks, g’day.”

The last message came from ‘Stanley-Electician’ and read, “Sasa honey? hope uko poa, mimi niko fiti hapa campo, lakini nikumiss sana . But honey kuna doh tunadaiwa za project 40k, nita come unishow vile tutalipa. Nice day love you big.”

Funmi had found the answer to why her husband was always penniless!

When evening came Wale and Funmi met at home. They could hardly talk but only stared at one another with suspicion.

Then they called me to intervene, sincerely how do I solve this, pls sincere advise pls.

Iwant to bring to ur attention that robbers are seriously on rampage presently in lagos. this morning my cousin sister was rob in front of my house at about 6 am, my friends house was also rob all the tenant was asked to bring out all the have and eventually they went with food stuff and other house hold items. two days ago my Brothers wife was unfortunate to be in the cross fire of the idimu invasion by robbers, they collected her hand set and money she had at the fueling station she went to get fuel, her car keys was collected but thrown into a drinage system, they succeeded in collecting a small amount of money from the fuel station at shasha area of lagos state. pls what is really happening.

NL Members what advice do u guys have for this rampage, should the govt impose a stiffer penalty for this guys or what. for me capital purnishment i stand for anytime.

1. You open all your gifts carefully, so that you can reuse the wrapping.
2. You call a person you've never met before,uncle or aunt.
3. More than 90% of the music CD's and cassettes in your home are illegal copies.
4. Your garage is always full of stuff because you never throw anything away, just in case you need it
someday. (a gum boot without a partner and the baby walker - baby's now 12 and you are 48).
5. You have a collection of miniature shampoo bottle from your stays at hotels. (Gocool, Sweet heart, African pride, ).
6. You have almost always carried overweight baggage when travelling by plane.
7. If a store has a limit on the quantity of a product, then each member of the family will join separate queues to purchase the maximum quantity possible. (Sugar,

9. Nobody in your family informs you that they are coming over for a visit. (Uncle, wife, sis-in-law, two nephews and a neighbor) have camped at home.
10. You stuff your pockets with, mints and toothpicks at restaurants. (Murray mints, wrappers, and salt shakers!)
11. Your mother has a minor disagreement with her sister and does not talk to her for 10 years.
12. You only make telephone calls at a cheaper rate at night.
13. You never have less than 20 people to meet you at the airport or see you off even if it is a local flight.
14. You keep changing your Internet Service Provide because the first month is free. (I know some people O!, ).
15. Office supplies mysteriously find their way to your home. (Yes, staple machine, office pins, punches machine, cello tapes, post-its, etc.).
16. When you are young, your parents buy you clothes and shoes at least two sizes too big so that they would last longer.

I left Lagos to Rivers state where i did my youth service with all the wonderful stories of the camp, but with one other mission not to fall. to God be the glory i spent the three weeks with a relax mind and got close to God on camp. I am very disturbed.  I am also very sad.  I followed this thread from post #1.  I have been very reluctant to say something in here for a number of reasons:

- I made a choice to be of blessing to people I come across and not a stumbling block
- I am careful not to dissuade others, since many people read one’s contributions
- Not wanting the name of Christ to be ridiculed, which the thread could potentially degenerate into
- I abhor arguments, especially the types that lead nowhere
- Hoping the issues raised will be addressed objectively
- Don’t want to be labelled ‘an accuser of the brethren’


However, having read up till now and seeing the way my brethren tend to divert issues and rather discuss/defend persons, I became very disturbed indeed.  Let me state here before I am wrongly accused, that:

- I am a believer (born-again, spirit-filled, tongue-talking. . .) and I believe in miracles, the healing ministry and manifestations of the Spirit
- I have ministered healings on people and have received healings/miracles myself by others’ ministrations
- I have been blessed by some of Pator Chris' teachings (and he can teach!)
- I see CE members as my brethren too, having the same heavenly Father (I am not a member of CE).

Knowing fully well that every idle word I speak will be accounted for, I speak therefore with every sense of responsibility.

SirJohn brought an issue up, backed up with strong evidences which can stand to any scrutiny in any court of law.  He supplied eye witness accounts (both his and his sick friend), names of those involved (including pastors, staff, workers of CE Healing school), pictures of people he saw during the healing sessions he attended as captured in the CE Magazine, other evidences including pictures from South Africa (also from the magazine) evidently showing a lady pictured using two different wheelchairs on the same day and captioned as ‘the wheelchair that has carried her all her life’.

Reading objectively as a Christian, this tales are too vivid to be fabricated and very disturbing to say the least, especially with the pictures (from CE source) corroborating his accounts.  Please my brethren from CE, take some minutes to read his accounts and check the pictures and links objectively and sincerely.  These things should make every Christian sad if true.  The poster is not saying miracles are not real, but he gave what could be exhibits of deliberate deception, mis-information, stage-management and hypocrisy!

A colleague of mine narrated how he saw a neighbour of his (who could talk and hear) on TV in one of those ‘Atmosphere for Miracles’ meetings posing as a deaf and dumb being ministered unto.  When he confronted him after he came back, he was told he was paid for it!  On the other hand, a woman testified in my church (not CE) how she got her healing in CE Healing School.  Even Jesus could not perform miracles in certain places like Nazareth.  

If someone was healed during a healing session why not say so?  If the healing took place before hands were laid, why present it as make-belief before a live audience?  Does it make the healing any more authentic?  If someone could walk before (according to SirJohn’s account) why put him/her on a wheelchair (s)he didn’t come with, only to be recorded as being crippled on that same wheelchair all their lives?  And if it happens the person didn’t get his/her healing, why make the public believe so?  It is this alleged deception that is the crux of this thread and not belief in miracles!  Ananaias and Saphirra paid dearly for deception with their own lives.  It is that serious to the Holy Spirit.

Without being presumptuous, I must say the responses from CE members have been disappointing.  The poster made it clear he is a Christian, believed in miracles, is a member of CE and also a financial partner and has been under Pastor Chris’ ministry.  Why then go ahead to attack his person instead of addressing the issues he raised? He doesn’t appear to have any reason to lie and discredit a ministry he is a member of if he hasn’t seen and witnessed certain things that are disturbing to him.  Also, he made it clear he has tried severally to raise it up with the hierarchy of CE but rebuffed, hence his decision to go public.

I understand the fact that we all have duties to defend our pastors and ministries (after all Peter tried to defend Jesus when he was being arrested), but does this mean they should not stand up to scrutiny?  Even when what appears to be concrete evidences of deception (or half-truth at best) are being brought up?

Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith was examined and found blameless:

Luke 23:13-14 Pilate summoned the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them, "You brought this man to me as one who incites the people to rebellion, and behold, having examined Him before you, I have found no guilt in this man regarding the charges which you make against Him.

John 14:30 "I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

Therefore it behooves us as followers of the Master to be blameless too when scrutinized:

Phil 2:14-15 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

Titus 1:7 Because an overseer is God's servant manager, he must be blameless. He must not be arrogant or irritable. He must not drink too much, be a violent person, or make money in shameful ways.

Brethren, instead of faith-speak let’s examine the things being brought up and refute the evidences if untrue.  This way we prove ourselves.  And if they are things we have no answer against, it is golden to say so or maintain silence.  I believe as followers of Christ, we shouldn’t be afraid of being tested/examined if we know those things we are being accused of are not true.

Sigh!  Lord, purge Your church.

i know what i did was bad but could not help it. sometime last week my wife told me she will be attending a vigil programme and will be leaving at about 7 pm, meanwhile her friend that just came into lagos, was to pass the nite with us. when my wife fianlly left, i went and tune on the tele only to see her friend joining me in the setting room, we got talking about the movie and more other issues when suddenly she came and sat close to me. i felt uncomfortable at first but when i discovered it was just for her to get a better view i became relax. All of a suden she came closer to me and wanted to relax her head on my lap, i moved away only for her to say that she meant no harm, within seconds my hands were all over her just dont know what got over me, we found ourselves on the rug rolling and caresing when suddenly the door opened at about 10:15pm. i saw my wife with her mouth wide open and calling me by my pet name (heartbeat). i stood and well the rest is Histroy now but my worry is, since that day she has not said a word to me concerning that incident, she cooks my food and dont say anything. her friend left the next day. my wife is cool headed .
