Xisnin: She did not expect the governor to visit. Makinde owes them nothing. She expected the government to have made contact even a call while he was sick. Note the difference? What phone call again? Didnt you read where it was stated they called her but didnt respond. They even contacyrd Hamzat and SanwoOlu just to reach her yet she declined? What more calls should have been made? |

Xisnin: She didn't ask anyone to close their shop. The Oyo state government has hundreds of aides that could have paid the former governor a visit. Even at that, a phone call would have been sufficient. No closing of shops. Nawa oooo. So the deputy that went there to represent the governor wasnt enough? Or you want them to leave Ibadan and go to Lagos to visit a covid patient who was unconscious? Who is then the greater aide than the deputy that should have gone? |

Femeto: Because Steve Jobs died apple should close down for a day.Nigerians should start thinking please. But governor sending his deputy isn't enough? He must cancel his prior personal, state and party engagements even when Florence didnt close down her shop on Sunday? Florence should stop seeking for condolence as African culture dictates since she also wants to be western by not closing down her shop for a day to respect her dead husband |

edoairways: If Makinde couldn't visit at least he knows way to Ajimobi's house or better still should have contacts of other members of Ajimobi. Do u even know Florence was only at Ibadan on that Sunday? You guys want to turn a governor to an errand boy? Who should Makinde go and visit at Ajimobi's house in Ibadan before Sunday? Domestic staff? You're sounding more like a joker now. |
Politics › Re: Florence Ajimobi Can't Close Her Store For A Day To Honor Husband- Akin Abubakri by peeps4u: 9:39am On Jun 30, 2020 |
edoairways: This has nothing to do with condolence. Makinde refuse to see Ajimobi,he couldn't reach any of the family members yet he comes up with a filmsy excuse that he called Florence but her number wasn't responding. All these happened before Ajimobi's death LOL. 1. Makinde or anyone doesn't have to go visit a covid patients in the hospital. It is a nonsense risk to one's life. 2. The governor claimed to have called her, he didnt say the number didn't respond, but the Florence didn't respond. 3. The governor also claimed to habe reached to Hamzat and Sanwoolu yet she turned them down. Now, what more could have been done? Who else should have been contacted? That's BTW. The mere opening of Florence shop on Sunday has already justified anyone who didn't show concern. If that shop was that important not to be closed for a day, everyone also has personal important issues that can't be shut down for sick or dead Ajimobi. Have a nice day. |

edoairways: If he couldn't visit why didn't he reach out to the family aside Florence Ajimobi? Why didn't he send representative ( to visit the Ajimobis) if at all he couldn't make it Send a representative to a covid patients in hospital? Do u understand what you're saying? Governance is a more serious business than the super market that Florence can't even close down for a day. Is this too hard to get? |
Politics › Re: Florence Ajimobi Can't Close Her Store For A Day To Honor Husband- Akin Abubakri by peeps4u: 9:30am On Jun 30, 2020 |
edoairways: The bone of contention is the fact that Makinde didn't show concern when Ajimobi was sick. He knew how to reach the family hence no excuse He called her, she declined. Reached to Lagos state deputy and even the governor just to reach her. What more could have been done? He should beg her to pick calls or head to Lagos? |
Politics › Re: Florence Ajimobi Can't Close Her Store For A Day To Honor Husband- Akin Abubakri by peeps4u: 9:26am On Jun 30, 2020 |
edoairways: Register presence with medical gadget. Medical gadget? To a private hospital in Lagos? BTW, I ask again, if opening Florence's shop on the burial day of her husband is no big deal because it won't raise the dead, why should Makinde not going be a bigger deal. What will Florence lose if she closed the shop on Sunday, only money? But she can't sacrifice that for her dead husband? Then She is in no position to dictate how her husband should be respected by a sitting governor who has also been busy with state and party affairs, especially in this covid period. |

edoairways: The governor should just say he had a beef with the deceased nothing picking calls was just an excuse. Florence Ajimobi was present at her husband's funeral ,she doesn't have to close her business. Would you rather say that first bank closes their bank because they lost their CEO? If bank cant shut down because a CEO dies, now tell me why Makinde should also shut down his party and state affairs becuase Ajimobi died. Do u even know Makinde wasnt in Ibadan on sunday hence the reason sending his deputy? Tell me, what's more important in state and party affairs and super market. |

edoairways: . Florence was at her husband's funeral or didn't she attend? So why should she shut down her business in the first? Why didn't the governor show concern when the deceased was in the hospital at least show your presence at hospital. S Hear what you just said. A governor should leave his state affairs and headed to hospital and see a man lying unconscious due to covid, even after the woman declined several calls? When did we start visiting covid patients at hospital? I ask, if it is no big deal that Florence opened her shop on sunday because closing her shop can't revive her husband, why is Makinde not visiting the hospital a big deal? Would that have revived Ajimobi? You excused Florence for opening her shop on Sunday to run her business but expect Makinde to suspend his activities in Edo and come to Ibadan, even after sending his deputy? Did Buhari visit hospital to see Abba Kyari while in hospital? |

edoairways: A business is a legal entity different from the owners. She was in attendance but her business must run. Would MTN close their office because their CEO died? You're comparing a multinational company listed on stock exchange with lot of share holders to Florence's supermarket wholly onwed by her? |

edoairways: governor Makinde did not care about her husband when he was admitted in the hospital, that is the issue not attending burial Says a woman who didn't pick calls? Her business was so important not to be closed to honour rhe burial of her husband, but she expected governor to go all the way to care for her when she didn't pick calls. Should the governor have left state affairs and headed to Lagos where her husband was being treated when she didn't pick calls? |

palsenator: Have you been there before? Have you seen her there before? It's a business entity own by her but there are managements in place to run it.
Why would she close it? For what loyalty? If she is solely in charge and goes there everyday, that's when u can say she should close it but otherwise, it is hell no.
If she owns MtN , would you ask her to shut down the network cos her husband is dead?? You dont get it. As long as her business is so much important to her that she couldn't afford a day off to honour her dead husband, why else does she expect a sitting governor to abandon party and state affairs and attend to her? Is Florence's shop more important than governance? She has no moral right to dictate how anyone should mourn her husband if she couldn't close her shop just for a day to honour her husband. Anyone can as well claim unavoidability for not honouring Ajimobi |

Most politicians don't pick unknown numbers that doesn't mean they don't get to talk to those who don't have their contact. They know the channel to take... Then why should the desperation set in when I want to call people and show condolence and the person is declining the calls? You expect a sitting governor to be desperate to call someone who has been rejecting his calls? Because of what? If Ajimobi's wife also needed favour, wouldn't she have the governor's number and reach out to him? All I see from the woman is pride and entitlement. She proudly said she doesn't pick unknown numbers because she is a politician. That's how all our politicians become demi god after winning elections |

dejiavu: Life is mystery, whatvgoes around comes around. A woman in such an emotional state of mind is never in the right mind to speak. We can excuse her for her emotional outburst because that is women for you.
If the state government cannot get through to her on her phone or send a text message a condolence visit by the Governor or his representative would have suffice that is in line with Government protocols as ex Governor of the state irrespective of political difference.
May God grant your husband eternal rest and the whole family the grace to bear this oireparablr loss. Take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and left you with grown up kids that can be by your side. May be the governor shoukd have gone to rhe hospital while Ajimobi was in the hospital? Don't forget Ajimobi was yet to be dead that time the wife was talking about? This is death we are talking about here. Apologizing for what exactly? For not surrendering the state land for his husband burial? Someone whose state if health was denied till ue died? Didnt the family denied initial rumour of him going unconscious? Do u want Makinde or governors tI mourn someone that was yet to be announced dead by the family? ORIENTATION101: Edo will be the easiest. The voting pattern favours Apc.
Edo central votes re always divided
Ize iyamu won Edo south last time , now it will be shared between obaseki and ize iyamu because of power of incumbency.
Edo North- Apc will win landslide and that is the end of the road for obaseki Youve started again. You were here few days ago claiming Tinubu and Oshiomole winning and that the last NEC meeting was illegal. I told U that the NWC woukd be disbanded and so it was. Your myopic analysis of politics is funny. How will Edo north be a landslide win when both deputies are from same zone? What advantage does Pastor's deputy have over Obaseki's deputy who even has an advantage of being a deputy governor. Edo central is mostly PDP and the fact that They will peoduce the next governor in the next 4 years will make them likely vote Obaseki against voting pastor which will see them waiting for another 4 years. The only thing that can make APC be sure of winning is federal power. |
