Toyota Camry 2009 available for weekly rental... preferably someone staying on the island... You call or send WhatsApp message if interested: 08167058184
Please keep that car for now. Don't put that car through unnecessary hardship now when the business environment isnt clear. How much do you want to collect on that muzzle camry when drivers will work from 6am to 5/6pm and lot of traffic on the road due to curfew?

I think metholated spirit is best to disinfect; it doesn't have much strong odour and would quickly evaporate from the surface.

Have you ever asked yourself those days when yellow taxi had no AC, they still moved around in the rain?
Even till now, some commercial buses, cars don't have AC, and they still ply the road. This measure is for a while. Not for too long.
Wisodm is profitable to direct bro.
They moved in the rain but the screen would be wound up.

Would the screens be wound up now when we have COVID thereby risking one's life or left open during rain and have your car seat, rider and yourself wet?

Remember we're at the stage of community and evem family transmission. One Sifax staff and his family got infected, Dokpesi jnr and snr and total of about 6 people from the family are also infected now.

Please, no safety measure is too small or big to take as we go out next week.

Face masks and gloves aren't enough. Let's ensure we routinely disinfect our cars after each trip.

God bless everyone.

Buy hypo put it in a plastic bottle add some detergent and put a hole on the cap.

If you can find a small container with a spray cap it cool.

After every trip disinfect the car by cleaning the possible hotspot that the rider has touched.
Oh thanks. Never knew of anything that could be used as disinfectant is as cheap and available as hypo.

I think a container with a spray cap will be much better.

I’ve sold my items and I’m okay. Imagine turning up to my house without calling me first? Your arrogance and sense of entitlement is your undoing. Deal with your pain, hurt and bitterness. People like you always remain where you deserve, at the back and below the rest. I’m above that.
Oga, next time, post the picture of the items as they are. How can you be selling already toen chairs but you posted the pix when they were new? There is no excuse for that, it is a dubious act.
Next time also, dont ask for commitment fee or what do you call it, juat sell for to any buy who is ready first. Imagine collecting commitment fees from as many prospective buyers as possible.
Next time, pick your calls and simply tell the buyer you're not selling again. Failing to pick calls after the buyer disagrees to your commitment fee arrangement sends a clear message.

Please be open and transparent as much as you can next time.

What can be used to disinfect the car after each ride and how much could that be? Disinfecting the car after rides is very important, just as wearing face masks is. Imagine a car gets infected and driver fails to disinfect, no matter how many masks he wears, he will most likely get infected at the end of the day

Few lessons I've learnt in this pandemic

-Always have multiple streams of income
-The safest and most secured Business one can have is the one he has ONLINE
-As much as you can, start a business that you can earn in a foreign currency ($)
$50 is about 20k now. Just earning $100 weekly na something, though it sounds small.

But no be everybody is wired for online biz, God should just open our eyes to where opportunities are abound.

You are right, this is what the business will look like till situation of things comes back to normal.
I hope Corona virus will not linger for a long period of time. Ehailing business is going to be like survival of the fittest especially among those who are on rental and HP. Driver car owners will manage to weather the storm. It would be like the winter period we experienced in January. I have prepared myself for the happenings and eventualities. Thank God for Lockdown, I had enough time to skill up and acquire knowledge online. it woke the latent potential in me. My eyes has been opened to multi-million Naira business opportunities online with almost zero capital. People are fully embracing the digital world because of Corona virus and social distancing. I think is about damn time i test the waters.
I said it yesterday that this COVID might just push some people into trying other things they have been reluctant to do before now.

As for me, I'm not resuming work on monday.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Private School Teachers How Have You Been Coping Through This Period? by peeps4u: 8:18am On May 02, 2020
oazeez1991:
I knew teachin was neva my calling since my service year even thou I've lately consider goin in2 it, albeit job not forthcoming after service year (thou just abt 6months out of service). Avin posted 2 teach durin my service year in a private school, even thou, myself nd odaz enjoyed sm level of liberty nd respect as we were been seen as temporary assets 2 d school as per education in sm northern part of d country, yet, I found d job very taskin nd exhaustin wif token as reward at d end of d month. I must commend d efforts of teachers. Unless one has passion 4 it, being a teacher isn't smtin encouragin truly.

Just as sm1 earlier claimed a student once told him/her dat his/her parent said, "teaching is 4 defeated people", I quite agree wif such assertion in person cos despite me not avin flair 4 it, I'm avin it consider cos I felt defeated as job isn't forthcoming.

Wif ol wat I'm seeing here, I tink d mindset of eva goin near teachin won't surface again.

Lemme just continue wif my little hustle jeje, at least I'm generatin btw #500-#1,000 on a daily basis (worst case scenery), 30k monthly on less dan 50k investment. Just started late January dis year nd my ROI is 100% gotten back. If not 4 dis lockdown dat seems 2 be disruptin d plan.

If u guys cud just tk d buz (passport photograph business) as a side-hustle 2 compliment ur teachin, it cud be financially handy 4 u. U may even employ sm1 2 help u wif it shud u wudn't be chance 2 handle it. It's lucrative, dependin on d environment u r. Rentin a shop 2 start is even optional as I'm managing at sm1's shop myself, u too cud do same.

Now I see why sm people term teachin as #ModernDaySlavery.
You have a hustle that fetches you 500-1k daily in worst cases and you're considering leaving it for teaching?

That sounds like online trading, if it is, it already has prospect for you.

In any hustle you do, don't do ponzi and all these online investments please.

Good luck.

I think ehailing platforms will come with the restriction of passengers to may be 1 or 2 but drivers will flout the orders themselves just to make money

Stop being intimidated by pele showing off.

I intentionally avoided this thread last week because of the e-fights always going on. I checked on this thread 2 days ago hoping that what will be the fate of ehailing and weekly remittance regarding the curfew and partial lockdown lifting would be the topical issue here, but I was wrong. All is saw was USA and foreign politics argument.

No one even raised argument about the possibility of drivers getting exposed to COVID or how best one could stay safe.

Is foreign politics more important on this thread?

Like I said before, all I see here these days are fights of ego and hatred. Some unnecessarily attack others, some only show up when foreign politics are discussed.

Good luck to everyone.

Very true but have you also thought about this?

Every dream/talent/plan requires capital and the major reason a lot of dreams die is due to lack of finance.
Bro, I no say money no important to drive ideas. In fact, I dont always believe in the motivation speeches that tend to interplay the importance of money by saying all needed is an idea, so many ideas die in the absence of money.

To my earlier post, I was only referring to situations when one has been nursing an idea/innovation but being held down by fear. This period might just push some people to try something else they have been wishing to do before now. That was my message.

Hope you're good with your family?

I think partners should try to either sell off the vehicles or wait till the situation improves.. The cost of maintaining and cost of parts has increase now .. The dollar is about 450 to naira ...

For now partners should hold on till things improve .. The operating cost is not worth the rental delivery , the cost of parts will increase at least double the previous cost.

And this is why I was hammering that people should get cars like Honda civic due to cheap parts. Toyota car owners go hear am well well ,cost of parts are about to triple..... And if partners fail to heed my advice, than more junk cars will pile the roads, until the cars are no longer safe to either pass inspection or the cost of maintainence is eating up all the profit
This is a brilliant submission.

With the present development;
1. Drivers may find it hard to pay old weekly remittance.
2. Owners will spend more on car maintenance due to rising costs of things, so cut in weekly remittance doesn't look a reasonable decision to make.

Only owner drivers will manage to survive.
