I applied for Dependant Visa and from the tracker, my application is still in the received by DMC stage but I got an email from BRP saying my visa is successful. It’s safe to say I have gotten the visa right? And I should expect collection of passport soon even though it’s still in the received by DMC stage.

Am I correct in my thinking?

Please gurus any responses.

Someone should help a sister. How do i get english language validation and confirmation from Ecctis? My school insisted on sending my official transcript direct to them instead of the email i provided for them. I want to prove my english proficiency with my certificate, transcript and medium of instruction letter instead of writing IELTS

Hi guys, good morning. I need your help I applied for a standard 2 years uk visit visa in June and got a refusal mail today 30th of august 2022. The content of d mail is not in any way related to me. My first passport was gotten in 2010 and my first 6 month visa to uk was in 2010. I also did my masters in uk in 2012 then I had a 2 years student visa. After d expiration of my student 2 years visa I also got another 2 years visiting visa in 2014. I have been in Nigeria since then. I applied for a 2 years visit visa now and was refused. In 2008 I was still an undergraduate not even gotten a Nigerian passport not to talk of a uk visa. I have never been deported nor had any criminal conviction both in uk and Nigeria, I don’t drive not to talk of driving license. I have never been banned nor seek asylum. I think there is a mix up with some other person’s application. Pls how do I sort this out what are my options. I will attach a copy of d refusal

Please, for a group submission does every member of the group/family have to pay a Flexi appointment fee each? Or one Flexi fee covers the whole group? 45k? Thank you

Good mornign everyone,

So we got a refusal email last Wednesday, August 24 and we intend to reapply immediately. However, we are yet to receive the passport collection emails as of today August 30. Should we just to to TLS Ikeja to check if the passports are there already as we don't want to pay another visa fee when we havent received the passports. We are also trying to book on time so as to get a biometrics submission date in September since it takes an average of 9 weeks for standard visitors' visa applications to be processed and the trip is for this Christmas. How best do we go about this? Any suggestion(s) would be appreciated.

Please how many centers can one do TB test in Lagos?? Is it only iom? Cause am seeing 2 other locations on UK.gov website. Have anyone used the other 2?

If you have made more than one application at the same time using the same email address, please wait until you have received email confirmations for each application before visiting this Visa Application Centre to collect your documents.

Copy of birth certificate (if collecting for your minor child) *

It is not possible for a third party to collect the documents on behalf of an applicant, except in the following cases:

A parent collecting for a dependent child (where child is below 18);
Applicants 65 years and above (with already issued proxy form obtained during submission);
One member of a family group collecting the passports for the whole family, if applied together;
Government Ministry representatives and Business Network company representative, prior approved by the British High Commission and the company’s authorized signatories with a letter of introduction and a company ID card.

My bro got an appointment for 1:15 for Biometrics on Friday yesterday and I was sent back from TLS Ikeja. They said 1:15 is for priority.
ALL the way from Osun. Please, how can he get a closer date this week. Hotel bills running already.

Please I need clarification on the bolded. For instance, If you have a property where you collect rent and have savings from it but the rent inflow reflects at the same period cos rent is paid annually in Nigeria. This is also close to the application time. Eg Rent paid in July and application is in August. What's the best way to explain and prove it in your application?

So now assuming you have 2 Children (family of 4)
It would be 1270+285+315+200 = £2070

If you have 3 children (family of 5)
1270+285+315+200+200 = £2270

@ Uzland. Thank you very much for this thread. For the reseach. It's so precious. Please I want to encourage newbies to read from beginning. I went through the whole thread not once o. You learn by reading. It's not always encouraging when you ask questions that have already been answered in previous pages.
Finally, I wish us all a favorouable journey to a better future. We will not labour in vain.

Yes an agent can actually help you get all that was mentioned.

However, do your own due diligence, to be sure you're dealing with a genuine agent, the onus is on you don't say somebody here certified the agent.

No no, do your own research to be absolutely sure you're dealing with the right contact.

One last thing, the agent seems to be outdated, there's no body bearing NARIC again but ECCTIS.

For supporting documents, I added my six months bank statement, my employment contract and print out of my work leave page showing my unused 20-day annual leave.
I didn't get introduction letter from work but I wrote
a cover letter.
In my cover letter, I explained that the other bulk deposits were from real estate investments. my employment contract stated that I have a leave allowance so in my cover letter i mentioned that I intend to collect my leave allowance and put it towards the trip and then add some of my own personal funds. I dont have lease and I mentioned that too; that I live rent free in my family house. I explained my true situation in very simple terms because I didnt really have much supporting documents.
I didn't make any reservation (hotel or flight) but i added in my cover letter that I didnt make such reservation cos i didnt want my card to be charged since i'm not sure when they will approve the visa.
I started following this page after I had done biometrics so I didnt know I was suppose to include an Itinerary, and explain deposits in details with proof, I had already concluded that If I got denied I would be better prepared next time.
Took two months and my intended travel date have passed but I'm grateful to have received a positive response.
Please someone should link me up to scheghen visa discussion page if there is one here so I can learn more there before applying.

We've seen people get visas after pulling this stunt
We've also seen A WHOLE LOT of people get refusals for same reason.

What you decided is your decision and solely yours even though Personally I wouldn't have advised to apply before the maturity date.

If you decide to go ahead with biometric then your fate lies with the ECO.

I could have easily decided to wait for my POF to get matured but resumption is September so I have not much time any longer.
