There is Shale Oil and there is Shale Gas also

My Analysis is based mainly on Shale oil as we've not mentioned the price of "Gas" the
Reason why is that these reserves are fixed and Estimates are made based on this fixed reserve and a time period when they'll reach a breakeven point and start making profit.

The reason why they may slow down, stop or discontinue field development is because it doesn't make economic sense at the moment.

Remember Hydraulic Fracturing techniques didn't start now it's been around for over 50 years but didn't make economic sense because of huge investment and technology available to drill mainly horizontally and frack.

There is Hope for Nigeria, the prices will soon start going up. Becos most of the Shale Oil production will have to stop @ the current rate.
Which will cos increase in demand and reduced supply until it gets to maybe 70 smth or 80 dollars per barrel.

But it may take some time!!!

Well the interview was aired a few days ago on "RayPower" that was Why I used the word "Listened " but Of Course I also read through the post and I personally believe if the public is enlightened properly during this period, We can indeed remove subsidy and stop the corruption in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.

I.e If the regulatory bodies will do their jobs effectively? That's another issue.
But from what we can see, with the price of Diesel I doubt if that can happen because of SELFISHNESS and GREED.
