The gods of African lands really must be ashamed of us all.
Religion must be wiped out of Africa before we can progress as a continent!!!
Quote me and the gods of your land will destroy your family!!! A thread about innovative idea and beautiful tech has no meaning to you, rather, you feel you must bash religion (Christianity to be precise). How are you sure that there are no Christians (or religious folks) among the developers? By the way, modern science flourished in the west under a CHRISTIAN PRESSUPOSITION. You'll need a little lesson on philosophy of modern science to understand that. In the main time, point your gun to other target. Christianity is not the problem |

BluntTheApostle: It is not a bizarre creature.
The authorities are aware that people buy juvenile alligator gar (which is what the creature is called), and then release them into the wild.
Ordinarily, the creatures are kept under observation. But when you release them into the wild, they will naturally disrupt the ecosystem.
It is like releasing a dinosaur into our ecosystem, and expecting the ecosystem to just absorb the change just like that. Thanks man I actually read it but was wondering why they assumed it was released rather than studying it to see if it do migrate. My aim is their quick assumptions (stated in the article) and then making statement on such assumption. |

morzook: You could have saved yourself from ignorance by reading the whole article. It is an alligator gar that's native to the USA. It's not rare or strange.
It's just strange to the location Of course, I read the article which was why I challenge the idea of them assuming someone released it (that seem not to be in the article, I think?) Talked about being strange in a way the first discoverers had to get close enough to see and confirmed. I guess in pointing you to the moon, you decided to focus on the fingers; hence, was quick to assume I didn't read it |

All these guys sha. You found a bizarre animal (in a new habitat), the guessed that it was released by someone after growing big and went in to 'warn' people that such action will disrupt the ecosystem. Do they know of the fallacy of begging the question? Can't you just admit that you're seeing a ceature for the first time (there) and begin to understand it (if it could migrate)?
That was how they first made the coecalynth a transitional fossil, only to find it in one of the waters, making it a 'living fossil'. Always say it, worldview isuues ehn

ibuildstuff: I can explain gravity n evolution without mentioning Newton n Darwin. Newton did not event gravity neither did Darwin invent evolution. These are natural phenomenon they just did outstanding research on, other scientist did research on these phenomenon too. Newton never mentioned or didn't even know if there was as gravitational wave, but some years back gravitational wave was discovered. U are not even serious if u think one cannot explain evolution without mentioning Darwin. I should have known that you won't read it unbiased. When I mention Newton and explained that current knowledge are built on some foundational knowledge, I felt you'd get that it is not about the PERSON but the INFORMATION. Again, you are grasping at straws by saying they never invented gravity or evolution (except you'd show me where I said that). That shows your level of understanding of a simple statement. My arguments again is that information are not from vacuum, current knowledge are built on some foundational premises or observations. You can talk about gravity or relativity because it has been laid down by some intelligent minds. If it was not specified by them, you wouldn't know them or even think interpret such phenomenon wrongly. Hence, their works become an authority to explain such phenomenon. How would you explain evolution without referencing Darwin's IDEA? Or explain that all objects are accelerated to the earth's center at same rate without mentioning Galileo's famous pisa tower? I hope you don't attack strawman this time |

showafrica: F=MA
M = F/A
The weight of an object is the amount of force exerted on the object due to gravity, thats the relationship with weightlessness.
Inventions and discoveries are funny untill they are proven.
I am not sure of the possibilities of what I am saying but they are all possibilities. Lets stay alive for few more decades, internet won't forget. There are theories coming up everyday, you may dig a little and see for yourself. Weight is rightly due to gravity and not due to mass. The mass of any particle is always the same whether on earth or anywhere, whereas the weight changes with change in gravity. So again, matter is about mass and not really about weight (not talking of photons, quarks and there rest sha) Smile... The inventions would easily become reality if it doesn't go against KNOWN laws of Physics, Chemistry, etc. That was why I was put off by your idea sir Sure! Internet doesn't forget. Just that some of these stuff are fantasies due to the bias of the reigning paradigm. The resources and energy could be use to make the world better (maintaining the earth, not better anyway) |

showafrica: In other to achieve that speed, the matter has to be converted to weightless pro matter... Must be electromagnetic. Speed can actually make a matter anti matter and then back to matter with high tech. Until then sha Smiles. This your theories ehn Weightlessness has nothing to do with mass anyway. There are several research on use of warp drives (just theoretical anyway), but idea of changing matter to EM waves and back, I don't know where that science fiction came from sha. Also, though matter and anti matter are being made in the lab, they immediately cancel each other. So, speed won't change matter to anti matter. Einstein would disagree. |

Our contemporary world (its science) didn't just appear now, it was built upon in steps, on certain foundations. Those foundations became the authority to stand in order to explain phenomenon. DonroxyII: What does evolution means to you ? ... Simple English "Evolution" ? Check your Biological Dictionary .... Dude, I'm just toying with you , catching cruise .... You are warped already mentally .... I'm not trying to convince nor confuse you .... I'm just catching cruise ...
if you criticise my definition or description of evolution, a mentally upright human would have given me his own meaning but you only blew laugh emoji as if your teeth is what I needed in defining "evolution" !!
The difference between you and I is ... I posted succinctly, while you posted bogus... I detaste generic talks .... Be specific!
I said Human and Animals are the same except for Higher IQ in human shaped by Evolution (Civilisation and generational knowledge engineered by education from generation to generation) ....
if not for Education, Human society will also devolved (Opposite of evolve) into animalistic society ........ and at that point , you will know you are just like another specie of other animals ....
Eating cooked food (Bacteria free foods) alone has helped shaped our evolution , living in healthy environment , green environment is also a contributory factor.... Studying , utilising our brain , pushing it beyond her limits also helped shaped our evolution ....
if animals are also subjected to the above, in no time, they will also be able to respond to what we human are also responding to .... I.e. they will evolve like us in a gradual process as it occured to us .... They will also have higher intelligent quotient way above their peers ...
Now, say something reasonable to me that my brain can process not just Bogus posts !
Note : I can view God, Life from any lens I want from Adam to Abraham, to Moses to Jesus to Mohammed or from Greater Scientist such as Albeit Einstein and others or Donald Trump, Obama, Buhari , Obasanjo, Aristotle , Pluto, Alexander the Great etc ...
I don't care if you have problem with Islam or Christianity or evolution.... That's your own problem ...
I only care about this topic :
"You are also like any other animal except for higher IQ handed down from generation upon generation via Education and knowhow shaping your civilisation and God is not your image because nobody knows the image of God nor the Shape of God"
Your image and shape is exactly like image and shape of other animals ...... But I know , You won't equate image of God with that of other animals !
If a Siberian Lion should walk erect, you ain't different from it .... In fact, it is bigger and mightier than you in IQ on a one on One and if you should go one on one with that Lion without tools (Technology) , you will know your higher IQ is lower than that of that Lion because it will devour you in a seconds ..... You will see a Beast, He will see a Food just like He sees other animals as Food .... Just because you are just like any other animal to it .... Hmm... |

Religion doesn't stop you from using your brain .. Don't be a slave of Religion , Be a King !!
You are here to learn, to be curious not to be stupid and ignorant ...
Now, look at the picture very well and bring an insight ... Don't quote me a Bible please ....
I'm a Muslim and also adherent of Christ and all before him and all philosophers and all Scientists that contributed to better living for Mankind ...
I'm also a Yoruba boy, if you know what that means ...
God can not be a Monkey, Gorilla, Orangutan, Bonobos, or Chimpanzee .... Those are your Families created by Nature and Her Creator !!
God can't be as tiny as we human or has shaped as you ... .... Of course , the only course for you to be a living thing is the presence of God in you ... Whatever you now interprete God to be is another issues entirely ...
All I accept is that God is not a MAN nor Human !! Funny. Of all the fallacy of equivocation I see about evolution, this your argument is the funniest. I develop as I grow, so that means evolution? Is it not ironic that you made this statement? Slave of religion? No! Not be a slave of what 'appear' scientific by always following the herd on even misrepresenting the theories should be the advice Truly, we learn everyday but there's nothing to learn from an expression that says 1 + 1 = 11. One need bring attention of the one with the mistake and hope that arrogance won't hinder correction. I don't need a Bible to clear up misunderstanding. I only bring the Bible to where it is needed (when God is involved). Just like your interpretation of "image of God". My bad for thinking you're a Christian (I should have seen that from your eisegesis). Too bad I don't know what it means for someone to talk of being a Yoruba boy Still begging the question. No empirical to show that you're in same family with monkeys, oraguntans and others you mentioned, yet you already used that as a ground to make a claim. It's called FALLACY OF BEGGING THE QUESTION. Maybe I sense a strawman here (or you're interpreting the verse with an islamic lens). No informed person would believe God to be how you feel we see him. Sure, getting well informed would help one to reduce inacurate assertions. No one would think God is a man nor with flesh and blood. |

People like you take God as One white Bearded man up above the Sky ... .... Don't be a slow IQ person please !!
the only difference between you and any animal is you walk erect and Knowledgeable that's all ...
Check a Gorrila walking erect, it seems like human too
All the Animals have the same organs as you, they have brain and eyes too ... they adapt to their environment and they evolve just like we human do .... Blood that flows in them also flows in you .... Come off your arrogance ... Verily, with the ways animals are being treated, Don't be surprised when you see a Dog going to school, learning , writing and speaking ....
Evolution is not a Hoax !! ... We all Evolved !!
Many human still behave like animals , because they reason like animals do .... na lie As much as I tried not to respond, I couldn't control it. "Dog(s) going to school, learning, writing and speaking"? This is what evolution brainwashing causes. "Come off your arrogance"? Not surprised to get this from you since it's one of the national anthem of evolutionists. The failed logic is that "blood that flows in them also flow in you". Therefore, we're not different? If you go back to all my comments you would see where, I gave my explainations, i said, anyone who dies of curable malaria with the doctors around is either they cannot afford a doctor or they refused treatments, how is that any different from your own explainations? If it is about you winning an arguiment always fine, again, you win! Perhaps you are the obssesive type of human who must always win, here you have it, you win!
Now in terms of educations As i ve said again i grew up a gangster, dropped out of school, but that doesn't make me a fool or stupid, from the get go of this irrelevant arguiment you have being insinuating how uneducated and how my reasonings are poor. Not that it bothers me i don't give a shit! I have done well in life. Lives a comfortable life. I am not complaining dropping out of school. I didn't reveal that i was born in Hackney east london so you can believe it, you mentioned nigerian educations and attached me to it, so i cleared that assumptions for you, by revealing my birth place, it isn't a big deal being born else where apart from Nigeria afterall my folks are nigerians.I like Nigeria, why anyone would lie about where they grew up, beats my imaginations, but if you want proofs? Tell me how you would like it, i will give you, it is no big deal.
You won! if it would make you feel better and strokes your ego, you won the arguiment.
Now, what does "agbero: means? I've responded to the comment where I missed your answer I'm sorry for dragging you due to my over sight. You must have mistaken my "insults don't win argument" statement. It's not about WINNING, it's about learning from the discussion and admitting when one is wrong. The latter is not difficult for me as I see discussion as a way of learning and relearning. With that said, we both agree that malaria patients may die if the refuse treatment or do not consult a doctor; in which we don't expect to blame the doctors. Same is the case with the question you asked initially. We can't blame Joshua for not healing Yard'adua (assuming he's truly capable of healing) because we can make a good guess he didn't consult his help in the first place; for if he did, media would've blown it up that Joshua was UNABLE to heal him. That's just what I wanted to drive at (just that I want you to see it from the perspective I would use so that we won't have clash of ideas; which was why I asked a question which I failed to see that you've answered). "Agberos" - they are guys who feels that they are in charge at bustops. Hence, they feel they must bring passengers for commercial drivers and get a share of the driver's charges on passengers. The problem is that one must 'settle' them even if persengers come to the drivers without their influence and they are ready to let all hell loose if the driver don't agree with their terms of 'settlement'. That's what disgusts me. They are just touts who won't reason at all and resort to threats or even violence when one disagree with them. As a passenger, they can make you lose your chance of going with a certain vehicle (which could delay you) if the driver refuses to do their bidding. Lucky you, you don't have such experience |

People cannot die of malaria if there is a doctor around, because they would treated. unless they cannot afford one or refuses to be treated. gypsey: More assumptions, yes! keep assuming, you began your nonsensical arguements with assumptons remember? I also remember lecturing you that assumptions is the mother of all mistakes. yet again you have adamantly refused to learn. I was never educated in the Nigerian educational system, never attended any Nigerian school. Perhaps that is why i found your arguements nonesensical, you and I are from a completely different world, You went on about Some bullshit "people died of (curable) malaria with doctors around". tell you what? You are right, I have never had malaria illness. I wouldn't know the effect of malaria on Nigerians. I grew up a gangster in the streets of hackney. But I know that all that filty Nigerian environment can make people ill with not just malaria but other lethal illnesses.
This your comments reeks of emotions yet you claim not to do emotions. You are a confused soul, as i ve said earlier.
I have no bloody idea what "Agbero" means and frankly i give no hoots.
Even dumbos consider themselves intelligents so I wouldn't be surprised if you believe that you are intelligent.
Learn to live a little mate! Don't take things a tard too serious. I tell you what? Fine! You win! You won the arguement! Here are 2 Gold medals incase you lose one of them.
Jeeeez!! now fucck off!! Wow! You didn't school in Nigeria, yet I've come to see that your reasoning is so poor. This is alarming and one would wonder how your education (if you had one) was. To help you with what you seem not to grasp. If malaria is curable (all things being equal) and folks still die when there are doctors who can cure them, the question should be "do those folks seek medical help?". Most times, the answer would be NO! They didn't seek help until complications set in. Now, can we blame the doctors for their death when they can easily cure malaria patients? The answer would be NO! Because the patients didn't seek the doctor's help. That's just it. Now, you may visit the first conversation to see why I asked the simple question that why do folks die of malaria even when there are Doctors who could easily cure them. To answer some of your charges. I don't claim that I don't do emotions. My problem is that arguments should be presented to refute arguments, and when one isn't sure of what to say, he should simply ask questions and learn, not to resort to ad hominem, when he doesn't have a good answer. It's a logical fallacy and shouldn't be found in intellectual discussion. By the way, my argument was supposed to be that of simple analogy, not assumptions as you wrongly imply. My only assumption here which I admit (if you are truthful) is that you must have schooled in Nigeria (being a Nigerian and knowing how education has been degraded) due to the fact that I don't believe that one with training in advance countries wouldn't easily grasp where I was heading to. It's not a win thing, it's a learning and relearning thing. My perception about many things have changed with some revelations here |
