Food / The Funny Taste Of Nigerian Kelloggs Cornflakes by Pelycan: 4:39pm On Apr 10, 2018
Please who has eaten the new Nigerian Kelloggs cornflakes that it's advertisement has bombarded our TV screens in the last one month?
My goodness, does that thing taste awful or what? I find it inedible and heavy/grainy in the mouth with a weird smell, and I know the regular kellog's which is manufactured in UK or US tastes really nice and light.
I now don't understand this nija one. Is it really an affiliate of the international one?

I had to trash the 500g pack I bought. No one in my house could eat it. Even my neighbor rejected it. Am I the only one who experienced this

Mod please, to the promised land.

Car Talk / Re: A Nairalander's Bike Trip To The Annual Bikers' Convention @ Jos , Plateau State by Pelycan: 6:49am On Nov 13, 2013
I hope you put on the appropriate biking gear all the time, not that vest. I mean the full torso jacket with spine protector from the base of the skull. This is a very dangerous sport for nigerian roads and the bad car drivers. Used to admire till I lost a dear one in a sports bike accident. Please be careful.

Op, listen to me. Do not break up VERBALLY. But in your heart (which is the control house) , forget him. He HAS NO INTEREST IN YOU. Do not contact him anymore. Please just walk off with your self respect intact. Move on. I am sure you have other prospects. Take your time and be friends with them first. Its not likely your US Guy will call u once u cut off communication, but if he does don't pick, don't respond, LET HIM SWEAT FOR YOU. Let him get desperate enough to travel to UK and see you!!!!!!!!!!

redcliff: Automedics finally on nl.here you have it people. The likes of siena finally in lagos. Totally recommend them for your car troubles. (dont say i dint tell you). They are steep

Automedics? I think its generally a trial and error thing. Got recommendations about them and went to their workshop in Lagos when my car had hard-starting issues, a 2005 corolla. It was worked on (after scanning) , I spent money and the problem persisted. Apparently the cause wasn't addressed or someone didn't want to look inefficient. It was a roadside mechanic that eventually solved it for a fraction of cash. And its been free of problems ever since. Think of all I spent with the former undecided
Romance / A Face -off With A Rival In A Serious Relationship by Pelycan: 6:32pm On Oct 28, 2012
These things do happen and can be very unnerving especially when your partner could be termed 'weak' and the rival leech seems to be gaining power. A friend of mine got to her wit's end when she saw the girl in her boyfriend's car. He claimed it was an innocent lift. She lost control of her anger and smashed the windshield. shocked Share your experiences.

omo alaro:

Op, it is wrong to have a 14 year old girl/boy in paid employment in your house. Forget the lies about showering her with gifts, you can extend charity to her without her in paid employment in your house.
This is called child labour. It is an abuse punishable under the law. If i know how to get you and other people like you, i will surely do that, so you can face the law.
Employ her mother instead and let her mother earn a decent living so she can train her.
It is unGodly to "use" the future of an innocent girl to bring your own children up. Free her today from your captivity.

Which law Enforced by who? Same people guilty of it?  Gimme a break!  cool  Catch them if you can  grin

TV/Movies / Re: I Don’t Know What Is Worse – Nigerian Actors Or Nigerian Movies by Pelycan: 12:47pm On Oct 14, 2011
No need to argue. Have you ever watched a behind the scenes of a Nigerian movie? The crew members, director, script writer, etc They dont look any different from the agberos who wear green n white that obtain money from okada and danfo drivers in Lagos. They do not look educated, lets not even begin to talk about their expertise, filming techniques, etc So tell me what you expect the outcome will be? GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I, will rather watch the wind softly push the clouds across the sky for 3hrs, than torture myself with a nija movie, Sorry folks.

IMO, whether you are dating, newly married, or married for ages, a good sign of true love is respect and regard. Nobody, i tell you, nobody in this world who regards and respects a person they love, will behave in this manner CONSISTENTLY. Mammy 2, granted, we all have times we seem to unconsciously disconnect from our loved ones due to unrelated issues, stress, etc but, when this becomes a norm towards one person, its a red flag. I cringe at your belief in his fidelity in all of this,  undecided . He doesnt even feed you! Its hard to admit to yourself, i know, but be realistic, this man does not care about you. For starters, when environment and time permits, sit him down, air your observations (calmly and firmly, be concise, dont beat about the bush, nagg, shout, scorn, etc). Let him know you are tired, he is the one who needs to know, not us. Then listen to his response. remember, do not take apologies as a response, you want to hear reasons for this behaviour. Sweetheart, you may just be surprised at what you'll hear!!!! Trust me.
Divorce is ruled out for now, but one thing i know about life is, Life is much too short to clog one's mind with worry, anxiety and grief. Someone is out there who will lay a red carpet for you, for every step you take.  smiley
