Going by activities so far, it’s safe to say that Peter Obi will win Kano in 2027.

But even if he doesn’t, the votes he will garner in Kano alone will be enough to cancel out whatever inroads Tinubu and Atiku will make in Southeast and Southsouth combined.

I think mentioning Atiku here is mere academic because he is currently nonexistent in any state of the South; not even in middle belt. Which always leaves me wondering how his supporters are thinking he would win the election.

Prior to then, Tinubu appointed permanent representative to the UN, Jimoh Ibrahim, had boasted that Tinubu would sit next to Trump at the UNGA.

The mission of Tinubu’s camp was simple, to lobby and soften the ground for Tinubu to attend UNGA and have a personal photograph with President Trump which they would have automatically milked as an endorsement.

But then came Karl ‘Ikechukwu’ Von Batten who ran a massive campaign against Tinubu and reminding the world of the history of the man that sits as Nigeria’s president.

Maybe Trump was even already considering meeting with Tinubu. But with such recent exposé, especially with the powers around DC being informed as well, Trump must have been forced to backtrack.

And that was how Ikechukwu Von Batten defeated Tinubu, his alleged $9million dollar lobbying contract in America, and did Tinubu’s supporters ‘shut up’.

The leader of the NDC, Sen Seriake Dickson, has directed the ex-SGF, Babachir Lawal, who defected to the party today to take charge of the party leadership in Northeast and North Central.

Under Babachir Lawal’s leadership, LP did tremendously well in the Northeast in 2023 but the votes was changed. He will do well again and this time nobody will change the votes again because Nigerians are ready.

Today, in the company of members of the National Working Committee and other NDC officials, it was a pleasure to receive and welcome respected elderstatesman and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engr. Babachir Lawal, to the
Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

In my remarks, I thanked him, on behalf of the National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee, for believing in our party.

I requested him to provide leadership and support in coordinating, guiding and strengthening the party in the North-East and the North Central Zone, as well as provide leadership and support for all our candidates, counting on his experience, leadership and extensive network to further strengthen the party.

The Asagba of Asaba, speaking at Ohaneze Ndigbo Public Enlightenment in Delta State, has called for the unity of Ndigbo.

Speaking in Igbo throughout his address, he went on to raise some points which includes:

1) The every other Igbo subgroup association should be dissolved to allow Ohaneze Ndigbo become the sole voice of the entire Igbo race.

2) He advocated that only Igbo should be spoken during Ohaneze meetings instead of English; asking the audience if there was anyone who couldn’t understand his Asaba dialect to which everyone agreed they could understand.

3) Lastly, he advocated for financial independence for Ohaneze so that it would stop being controlled by governors who currently finance and, as a consequence, control it.

Igbo unification is materializing.

This is an election Obi could have stayed out of because he will return poor numbers he never imagined. However, I think his aim is to stop Tinubu. Without Obi on the ballot, there will be apathy in the SE. The SE is a zone before now who do not even care about elections. They sit in their houses on election days to discuss the 1979 election whilst the present one is ongoing, Obi changed that. It's also a zone where rich men won't come and decide the votes, you will be beaten in the PU in your house even if you are Governor.

Election rigging is helped by apathy! So, if they come out like in 2023, it will be very difficult and tight because everyone will vote for 'their' son.
Obi is not contesting to win like in 2023, safe to say he is contesting to stop the President.

This proximity has been azsource of constant conflict with Benin, even uptil 1897AD when the British invaded Benin.

Agbor is considered as the “most politically and militarily powerful of all Ika clans as recorded by Chukwu Ebuka and Iwueze Awele Success. The conflict with Benin which lasted until 1897AD may have also swelled the military prowess of the community and helped to make it a force to reckon with within the Ika nation (Simpson, 1936).
