Honestly, you people at the opposition should be ashamed of yourself.

How the election process can work perfectly should have been something we should be discussing as Nigerians. No, their own is to be attacking, insulting, trolling others while neglecting important discussion.

The thread below was created even before the 2023 election talking about what the opposition and their supporters who have been in coma for years suddenly woke up to be talking about e transmission of election results.

What exactly is your purpose as opposition if you can't raise awareness about this even before it was debated at the Senate.

Why should the Nigerians take the opposition serious when they themselves are not serious.

https://www.nairaland.com/7230596/important-things-should-discussing-during
Do you know that there was a retreat in Lagos?

Do you know that there was a retreat in Uyo?

In both retreats the Senate, INEC, political parties, CSOs and other stakeholders were represented and both retreats adopted e-transmission of results only to be changed by few criminal senators.

So, where did you come about opposition not talking about it before it was debated at the senate?

Or is that how uninformed you are?

Here we go with their half baked.

Was Tinubu also elected as a Senator to debate and pass the bill?

You see this e-transmission of election results of a thing, if I really wanted it, I would have pursue it early enough before they even debate on it because I raised the awareness as far back 2 years before the 2023 election. I know how it can work effectively .

But you see the opposition we have in Nigeria, I swear they don't worth fighting for or defending, let them pursue this on their own.

May be they don't even have a clue that the same president Tinubu they are accusing for this can still use Veto power to pass it.

Seh na the people wey you go fight for be this?

Where do you stand regarding real-time transmission of election results?

We’ve been telling Tinubu supporters that the governors that are defecting to APC will not save Tinubu in 2027, but they swore that the governors are the alpha and omega in the states; and we said okay.

Now, we are asking for free and fair elections where every vote will count , and the people who have been bragging about having 30 governors are against it.

Why?

Why is Tinubu, APC and their supporters afraid of a free and fair election?

This is the level of anger every reasonable Nigerian ought to have for Tinubu, APC and everything they represent.

These criminals didn't think it twice to remove petrol subsidy, remove subsidy on tertiary education, remove subsidy on electricity tariff, increase customs import duties and while Nigerians where crying, gnashing their teeth to survive the economic destruction Tinubu and his evil APC brought, he still went and brought demonic tax laws to further impoverish Nigerians and Nigerians are quiet.

Implement electronic transmission of polling unit election result to strengthen Nigeria's democracy and make it possible for Nigerians to elect their leaders so as to force elected leaders to start working hard to deliver on their campaign promises when they realize that they can no longer rely on rigging and use of power of incumbency to perpetuate themselves in power, you are giving useless excuses that Nigeria is not ready for that but you imposed demonic tax laws on Nigerians without asking Nigerians if they are ready for it angry

Honestly this thing is so annoying I wished they can leave me and that man in one room for just a minute angry

Tinubu will rather spend the rest of 2026 in Indian temple and shrine to make sure this combination does not happen.

Tinubu combines voodooism with bribery, thuggery and tribalism in his politics, that's why he succeeds a lot in Nigerian politics.

Voodoo + Bribery + Thuggery + Tribalism = forever winning in Nigerian politics and that's what Tinubu uses as his political tactics.

If voodoo fails, he uses money to buy people, if money fails, he employs thugs and killers, while using anti Igbo sentiments to mobilize his Yoruba tribesmen against opposition
You’re right.

PoliticsKwankwaso Supporters Propose Obi-kwankwaso Alliance - Arise TV. by Penguin2(op): 9:25am On Feb 07
The supporters of Kano Strongman, Musa Kwankwaso, have started campaigning for an Obi/Kwankwaso alliance to rescue Nigeria.
Supporters of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have proposed a joint presidential ticket pairing Peter Obi with Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on behalf of the support groups in Kano on Friday, Abba Sadauki Gwale said the proposal reflects the desire of Kwankwaso loyalists to support an alliance capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges.

Gwale said the Obi–Kwankwaso ticket could emerge under any political platform, stressing that the current political trajectory shows a clear shift in public sentiment.

“If the duo gets a chance in the upcoming election, Nigeria will be a better place. We are tired of insecurity, hunger and starvation,” he said.

According to him, the proposed alliance is aimed at uniting Obi’s strong support base in the South with Kwankwaso’s formidable following in the North, creating a broad national coalition capable of challenging the ruling party.

Gwale said the partnership is driven by a shared ambition to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress and its leader, Bola Tinubu, and to deliver meaningful change for Nigerians.

He added that both Obi and Kwankwaso have consistently emphasised policies focused on improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, noting that their message of hope and reform is resonating widely.

Kwankwaso: I’ll Defect Only For Presidential Or VP Ticket

“As 2027 approaches, all eyes are on the Obi–Kwankwaso alliance to see how it will translate this momentum into votes,” Gwale said.

Addressing speculations that Kwankwaso had made demands to join the APC, Gwale dismissed such claims as outrageous, insisting that Kwankwaso’s political decisions are guided by the interests of his supporters nationwide.

He also maintained that Kwankwaso continues to command massive grassroots support in Kano and beyond, despite recent political realignments in the state.

Even INEC is putting a caveat there, "By Court Order". It's a trap to ensnare Obi before another court order derecognises them but some naïve Obidients are nonethewiser and keep urging Obi to go back to LP. Thankfully, Peter Obi is smarter than most of the Obidients.
All the while Abure has been there, that caveat has also been there.

It is impossible for Gringory Obi to win in 2027, totally impossible, misconstrued wishful imagination, remove a sitting Yoruba president from the south west , to replace him with an Igbo wannabe from the south east?, with all due respect, it is impossible, will never happen, that is just the reality.

It is easier for a northerner like Kwakwanso that stands no chance to defeat Tinubu in 2027 than Gringory Obi.

Relax, calm down be taught politics.

With Usman confirmed as LP chairman now, it means the entire structure of Labour Party is now firmly in Obi’s hands. The state chairmen, LG chairmen, etc.

Then imagine Obi gets the ADC ticket which he would, that’s the ADC structure plus the LP structure working for one man.

And if ADC think they want to corner Peter Obi or ambush him then we go back to our 2023 baby.

The head and tail is that whether una paymasters like it or not, Obi will be on the ballot in 2027.
PoliticsINEC Finally Recognizes Nenadi Usman As Labour Party Chairperson. by Penguin2(op):
INEC has finally recognized Nenadi Usman as the Chairperson of Labour Party and uploaded same on their website.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recognised the Labour Party (LP) National Working Committee (NWC) led by Nenadi Usman
ADVERTISEMENT

INEC indicated that the move followed a court order mandating the electoral commission to do so.
Checks on the INEC website as of Friday showed that the umpire has now listed Usman as the caretaker committee chairperson of the Labour Party (INEC).
Other members of the NWC are Senator Darlington Nwokocha (National Secretary); Hamisu Santuraki (National Treasurer); Aisha Madije (National Financial Secretary), and Eric Ifere (National Legal Adviser.

The development adds another layer of intrigue to the battle for the leadership of the Labour Party (LP), one of Nigeria’s opposition political parties.
On January 21, the Federal High Court, Abuja, recognised the Usman-led NWC of the Labour Party, sacking Julius Abure as the party’s national chairman.
Justice Peter Lifu based his action on the verdict of the Supreme Court declaring Nenadi as the authentic leader of the Labour Party
He asked INEC to recognise the Usman-led NWC as the party’s legally recognised authority until the conduct of the party’s next convention.

According to Justice Lifu, the evidence before the court indicated that Abure’s tenure as Labour Party national chairman had ended.
While dismissing the matter as a non-justiciable internal party affair, he said the establishment of the Caretaker Committee was “a necessity” arising from the Supreme Court’s earlier ruling.
Following the ruling, the Abure-led group in the LP vowed to appeal the Federal High Court ruling.
The spokesman of the group, Obiorah Ifoh, claimed, “the judgment was a clear contradiction of the Supreme Court judgment, which clearly stated that no court has the power to appoint leadership for any political party and that leadership issues are internal affairs of political parties.”
Ifoh claimed that the Court of Appeal had, in the past, affirmed Abure’s NWC as the authentic leadership of the party.
“To us, this is a clear contradiction of what the Supreme Court said. The apex court held that all matters relating to the leadership of a political party are internal affairs of the party, and that has been its consistent position,” he said.
The internal wranglings in the party date back to the aftermath of the 2023 elections, where the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, polled over six million votes.
Ahead of the 2027 elections, Obi had declared for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), leaving the Labour Party to appoint Governor Alex Otti of Abia State as its national leader.
