Before Benue thugs eventually put words to action, there’s been rhetorics from APC governors and political office holders threatening opposition parties from either entering their state or openly campaigning.

First was Edo State governor, Monday Okpebhlo who openly threatened Obi to stop coming to Edo or he can’t guarantee his safety.

Then the Benue governor had sometimes ago prevented Obi from going to IDP camp in Benue.

Also, not long ago Gov Nwifuru of Ebonyi State made headlines with his open threats to newly sworn in LG chairmen whom he instructed to not give opposition a foothold in their LGs. We all know that the only viable opposition In Ebonyi is NDC. Though I must state that the PDP governorship candidate in the state is also strong.

Lastly, Kebbi governor was also recently captured on camera issuing instructions against anyone who isn’t supporting APC.

However, of these threats, only the threat from Benue was put into action a fortnight ago and we have all seen the implication of that move.

And that brings my question… considering the backlash that the Benue incident generated, do you think any governor will try to stop Obi from entering their state again?
