So guys I created this thread for those of us that applied for admission to nnamdi Azikiwe university and are patiently waiting on the post-utme screening excercise, so that we can share valuable information and help each other achieve our aim...

Hello guys... Please so I scored 207 in the just concluded jamb and am eligible for unizik's post utme screening excercise. but I am really scared about the post utme and I applied for computer science... I have some questions I really need answers to so any one with answers should please help me out....

1) what is the cut off mark for computer science in the unizik post-utme

2) how competitive is the department of computer science at unizik in terms of admission...

So guys I'm kind of a noob when it comes to polytechnic degrees so I have some questions...

1) How long would it take me to get my H.N.D after polytechnic....

2) after spending two years in polytechnic, do I get awarded N.D or H.N.D upon graduation or do I have to work for H.N.D separately after my 2 years in the polytechnic? And how long would that take..

U can join the nigerian army as a recruit and further ur education through military schools and to become a higher ranking officer,just like a senior bros I know that used to cuts my hair many years ago,he joined the army as a recruit and went to school he is now a major and medical personel in the nigerian army.

is it that easy?

I will advice u to get ur computer science degree through the NDA. Do a change of institution and use NDA instead of wasting years in normal universities

I am currently 20 years old and I can't apply for n.d.a again this year....and by next year I'll be 21 which is the age limit..so I have just one shot at it...

Why not go to NDA and forget university you can still study the course you want there instead of wasting years in the university and polytechnic you intend going and no rank limit if you go through NDA..there is only rank limit for those who finished from the university and later join the army through short service... since you pass diz just conclude jamb exam and you really want to join the army I will advise go for change of institution and put Nigeria defense academy as ur first choice

Apply to NDA is a Regular Combatant Cadet. You will do better that way. You would be able to build a much stronger brotherhood across all 3 armed services compared to Short Service or Direct Regular where only a single arm(DSSC Army) trains for the entire period. So you may not even have course mates in the real sense from the Airforce or Navy, this would limit your opportunities in tri service SETUP. if you Join the army as A DSSC OFFICER WITH AN ENGR QUALIFICATION, it would be extremely competitive in service because the NDA already churns out ENGR who are also competent in other aspects of Military duties. So yes you would have disadvantages. But if you are still less than 26 on entry and you have competency to excel in staff training at JAJI AND OTHER Young officer courses that will benefit you in your career.

am I guranteed admission into the n.d.a as long as I meet all the requirements because I heard I need to know someone before applying for n.d.a cos the screening process is very hard

Should we try to excuse our self southerner from joining, then the whole southerner are In trouble in future.mark it!.

And if not at least you will not be jobless.

The best way to enjoy the been in the armed forces is to be a regular.
So, if you ain't above 21 just apply for NDA. You can read more on it

Joining the military via short service combatant , you must be a graduate , within 27yrs of age and above 27yrs if you studied professional courses like medicine n co. I guess you can't pass the rank of a major before you retire. I have attended the interview .

1..Try to obtain a Degree and make it a priority, if it doesn't work out that's when u opt for HND... E get why, though the Army doesn't discriminate among the Two.. Same ranking and same pay

2. After conversion, to Regular, that's after your probation... The sky is your limit, though you'll have to compete with the better preferred RC - the NDA graduates... But today we have a lot of SSC officers who are Major Generals.... We've had a COAS once in the past who was SSC


Note : make sure you're Medically and physically fit... Maintain your health till then

to get commissioned into the Nigerian Armed Forces is highly competitive, so ensure to have a back up plan
The final shortlist for Army SSC this year had 8 people per state, Navy DSSC had just 2+1 reserve per state

So guys I decided to do a little experiment with my food today..so I had yam and four eggs and decided to fry the two together (after boiling the yam) and see how it looks...I normally fry the egg and boil the yam then eat them separately...but only God knows what came over me today...

Note-i fried with red oil cos I would have eaten only the yam with red oil before soooo? And ohh, I am flushing every thing with a nice bottle of red wine ...

Honestly, I think I am one of the saddest and most lonely human being alive....I have been almost the same weight through my entire teenage life... no Matter how much I eat I just can't seem to add weight. And trust me, I eat alot...I would be 21 next year by God's grace, but mehn I don't feel like it at all. I cried alot of times in my room mehn. I just feel like if I continue like this, I might have to live a very sad boring young adult life

I can't make friends because most of my mates wouldn't want to be seen with me... Even my younger brother, someone I senior with 5 years, is taller and heavier than me, which at the moment is starting to brew disrespect between me and my younger one's...I try very,very,very,very hard to exert my dominance as the first born in the family...
Even my own father, doesn't even regard me as a grown up no matter how hard I try....my uncle who I told of my plights decided to take me out to a club one night, mehn you need to see the eyes people nearly use fall me down. Bouncer look me so tayyy I just vex tell my uncle say I won commot...

I spend about 95% of my days indoors, only going out at night for errands...if there are no errands or no places to go, then it's 100%.. that's how introverted I am...

I really need advice...i was told by someone here on NL to grow some beards, but I just don't feel like it because I want it to come naturally...I plan on go seeing a doctor soon sha...mehn life just tire me, honestly.
