Psychosocial:You just have to show more financial capability both on your side and that of your sponsor. Show them good source of income from your side and at least show some money that cover your living expenses while your sponsor should show enough money to cover for your two years tuition. |
Explaining to the v.o your nature of Job in this aspect is not an issue. 1. Inflow and outflow of money I to your account (with narration) should show something. Also, you can put the explanation inside your SOP with pictures of completed jobs as evidence. One thing I’m skeptical about is “Purpose of visit” your stated reason for construction management is not convincing enough (IMO). Because obviously they will tick “purpose of visit for you bro if you don’t explain that very well. |
Please gurus in the house I have few questions that I need clarity on. I had applied to go study for my masters in Canada sometime this year but was refused Visa. I have my brother in Canada, and right now am looking at visiting him in Canada with the intention to still apply for my study permit. The question is, will they refuse me visiting visa because I had already applied for study permit, the fact that you’ve been refused study visa does not translate into automatic refusal of visiting visa.will they see it like am desperate? And again how much is application fee for Visiting Visa Thanks. |

Education / JAMB Uncovers Another N83m Fraud In Five States by penitential(m): 6:23pm On Feb 18, 2018 |
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is currently investigating fresh cases of fraud totalling N83m uncovered in its state offices in Kano, Edo, Kogi, Gombe and Plateau, Saturday PUNCH has learnt. Our correspondent gathered on Friday that while the board was investigating N31m misappropriated revenue in Edo and N20m in Kano, it was quizzing officials in Plateau and Gombe over N15m and N10m mismanaged in the states respectively. Also, it was learnt that the examination board was investigating the misappropriation of N7m in its office in Kogi State. The JAMB Head of Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed the figures on Friday, said the board would be diligent in its investigations and would not tolerate corrupt practices from any of its officials. “We will monitor with careful scrutiny how workers handled public funds. We are trying to block all leakages and loopholes,” he said. A reliable source told our correspondent that all the workers of the board found to have been involved in corrupt activities being investigated had been suspended while investigations were ongoing. He said, “What happened was that we had a panel session in Abuja and most of the state coordinators could not account for how some monies were spent or remitted. The coordinator of Kano State could not account for N20m, while the Edo (office) could not account for N31m. In Plateau State, we are looking at N15m. “For Kogi State, we have about N7m that is a source of contention while Gombe office has N10m that is also a source of contention. You can then sum it up and know how much corruption ate deep into some officials. “The registrar is frank and thorough about the investigations and he has warned to transfer some of the cases to the police and to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.” A case of N36m allegedly misappropriated by a clerk at the JAMB office in Makurdi, Benue State, Philomena Chieshe, was recently reported by the media. It was reported that Chieshe had claimed in her statement that a mystery snake sneaked into the accounts office and swallowed the cash. Also, another JAMB worker in Nasarawa State, Labaran Tanko, was reported on Wednesday to be undergoing investigation over a suspected fraud involving N26m. Tanko had claimed that the N26m, which was the worth of unsold Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination scratch cards, got burnt in his car during an accident while he was on his way to remit the cards at the JAMB office in Abuja. Both Chieshe and Tanko are still under investigation. |

flaky16:I will say that you shouldn't be in a rush. First thing first is that, getting admission cab be easy especially for PGD, Diploma...but for Master's and PhD it may be tasking cos of the stress of getting a supervisor and getting funding. As it is easy to get PGD admission or diploma admission to most schools, the rate of visa refusal for such programs are increasingly high everyday. But master's applicant have a better chance of getting their study visa with a very good application. I will suggest that since you have a degree, try consider your chances for master's admission. This is seen as an academic progression which most V.Os frown at if not. Secondly, what's your graduating CGPA? That will give you insight into theach schools you should try to submit admission application as admission is competitive in virtually all schools. |

Mysine: There's no maximum limit to what you can write. Remember that your S.O.P is the only Avenue you've got to give explanation to every unclear issues. Depending on how complicated your application might be. I will just advise that you should ensure your S.O.P covers and explains every issue that documents may not explain to the V.O. I know of someone that drafted an S.O.P of like 7 pages (if i will remember vividly). But the content was well presented and so interesting to read.the application was so complicated but it eventually got approved. |
