Tonyferrad: The requirements they sent before the application, they specified the ones that should be certified by a notary public and it included WAEC cert, NYSC cert which I didn’t even submit because I just concluded the service ,birth cert, passport ,Transcript then the whole sponsors means of identificationincluding his passport and proof of relationship, means of income . All were certified . Other documents but not certified includes: Yellow card, 3months account statement of mine which I just gave them my NYSC 33k account because I told them I was still serving and that’s my work, then Employment letter(NYSC call up letter )Recommendation letter from my principal , Statement of Purpose, Recent CV, Details of family members and finally the property documents. I just submitted all that they listed in the about to lodge requirements and they only contacted us a week ago to upload the full pages of the Yellow card which we did and the grant came in today. |

The new policies are as stated below. 1. Post graduate temporary visa applicant age is cut down from 50-35. This is to imply that if you’re over 35 after graduation, you should go home. 2. If you’re on post graduate temporary work visa, you can’t convert back to study visa( remember, most people, after finishing study and couldn’t get a nomination for either state sponsorship, employer sponsorship and 189 visa tend to convert back to study visa just to buy more time). 3. Fast processing time for skilled employment sponsor visa. 4. Post graduate work visa cut down from 5 years to 3 years, as it may apply to either bachelor, masters or phd. The only policy that has affected oversea applicant is the raise in IELTS band score. So, how has those policies aimed at refusing student visa? As much as you may have a point ins saying that, you should consider the policies with it direct implication. NB1912: I respectfully disagree with your perspective. While it's true that the new student visa policy hasn't been implemented yet, there is emerging evidence suggesting a rise in student visa rejections recently. This trend seems to align with the government's expressed intentions to curtail the influx of newcomers in light of the ongoing housing crisis.
Consider the statistics: the number of international students in the country has doubled to nearly 700k in just three years. Given this significant increase, it's reasonable to infer that the forthcoming policy changes might indeed have an indirect influence on the current visa application process, especially for those applying from overseas. In my view, overlooking this potential connection could be an oversight. |

I do not see any connection between the new policy and this refusal. Most of the policies that are to be implemented are not directly geared toward incoming students. It’s majorly against those who are in the system already with study visa trying to regularize their stay. I can tell that this application denied has some loop hole that’s visible to the VO. Because, construction management is a very good course that’s highly in demand. And one of their immigration objectives is to bring in more construction workers. For study permit currently, there are some major pointers that’s been looked into, as regards economic situation of the country. If those loopholes are found in any application, it’s outright rejection. All the best to everyone. NB1912: Not surprised. I guess it's due to the governments new proposed changes. Seen a high rejection rate lately. I can imagine what it will look like when the changes are implemented. My advise to prospective students is to package a very strong application or don't bother applying. |

You guys should jus be calm and be courteous. For your information, go and check my posts in this thread in the last 7 years (Canada study visa thread) I’ve been contributing without insulting. And you saying I’m not ready to migrate, for your information, I’m not even in Nigeria, I’m in Aussie atm. The fact that I ask a question doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing. phabulous88: So if I said yes, they accept IELTS Academic you will go with me?
Oga, if you’re asking this question, then I don’t think you are ready to immigrate to Canada.
I just copied the exact question you posted and pasted on Google, and I found the answer. Just 2 clicks.
You guys should stop asking these type of questions, and do simple research by yourself. |

Civil engineering draft person is assessed by, both EA and Vetasses actually. As regards JD, I will check that up also. tunlex01: Civil engineering draftsperson CED is assessed by Vetassess not EA. Also CED is different from site engineer. So your job descriptions must be at least 80-90% CED. You will have to provide all the 3 transcripts and certificates |

To be very honest, it’s kind of trickery. If you will want to convert the money into investment certificate, you’ll have to show a statement that shows the origin of the money into the mutual fund investment account. Also, you’ll have to show the source of the money into your account that goes to the investment account. I’ve not seen someone that use fixed deposit certificate, only one person I saw was denied. Also, fixed deposit is well different from investment certificate and the differences may be why the applicant was denied. Lastly, your sibling will have to show proofs of the money in the don account . Why, is because, embassy want to see the flow and not just the chunk. The flow is what gives them the information if the account is ‘healthy enough’ to sponsor you. Obiora94: Bro thanks for your input, I really need to figure out a way to present my case without complications. The deposit into the dom account is from my sibling who lives abroad. I was thinking that would come under a gift deed or do you suggest a fixed investment deposit instead. Should i go ahead to use the dom acct, does it imply that my sibling would have to present statement of acct to show the source of fund. More importantly, in the event that i choose to convert it into an investment certificate, can i present myself as self sponsor when in the real sense the money is coming from my siblings. Thank you as you find time to respond to me. Remain blessed! My regards to everyone sharing their knowledge and expertise.
Ps: Anybody with experience on how to prep POF and detail the source should please message me. |

You can use a domicile account! But before you use a domicillary account, be sure you can explain the source of the money inside the don account. If not, don’t use it. Even if you’re using a naira account, you must be able to show the source of the money in the account. 20,000 USD, please convert it to Aud, know how much it is. Ensure it’s up to 60,000Aud before you proceed. Therefore, 20,000 USD, won’t be enough as POF. Obiora94: Please can i send you an email i need clarification about proof of fund. Any body else is free to help. What do you guys thinka depositing proof of funds in a domiciliary account? How can i show in flow and outflow?
Budget for applicant and dependant : Initial deposit paid Dom ciliary acct deposit =20000 USd Inherited Property valuation = 100 million naira Business Acc inflow 60million naira, balance 5million naira,
Will this be enough house? Urgent answer is required before it gets too late. |

The best business you can do, is to buy the dollar and keep it. Athena6: So Nigeria have finally happen to me, I thought if I save a little to the 5M I have, it would be able to leave this country by next year.
But right now, it is impossible, I saw on Twitter how a lady was begging money for flight ticket which was about 2.2M, just flight ticket o.
Months ago, a relative of mine told me someone is looking for a dependent and he will connect me to the person, he said the payment was 4M and I was not going to pay much after that and I will stay with the person in the UK before I settle on my own but I was forming big girl saying I will do my process by myself.
Now look, dollar have increased, the money is now worthless, anyway when there is life, there is hope.
Nairaland please help me think of a business to start with 2M, I can't just leave the money in the bank to keep on depreciating.
Thank you |
