Policy should be implemented in the new financial year which is July 1st. Although, hopefully they will review some of them. But those are the policies for now Ijaay83: |

The new policies are as stated below. 1. Post graduate temporary visa applicant age is cut down from 50-35. This is to imply that if you’re over 35 after graduation, you should go home. 2. If you’re on post graduate temporary work visa, you can’t convert back to study visa( remember, most people, after finishing study and couldn’t get a nomination for either state sponsorship, employer sponsorship and 189 visa tend to convert back to study visa just to buy more time). 3. Fast processing time for skilled employment sponsor visa. 4. Post graduate work visa cut down from 5 years to 3 years, as it may apply to either bachelor, masters or phd. The only policy that has affected oversea applicant is the raise in IELTS band score. So, how has those policies aimed at refusing student visa? As much as you may have a point ins saying that, you should consider the policies with it direct implication. NB1912: |

I do not see any connection between the new policy and this refusal. Most of the policies that are to be implemented are not directly geared toward incoming students. It’s majorly against those who are in the system already with study visa trying to regularize their stay. I can tell that this application denied has some loop hole that’s visible to the VO. Because, construction management is a very good course that’s highly in demand. And one of their immigration objectives is to bring in more construction workers. For study permit currently, there are some major pointers that’s been looked into, as regards economic situation of the country. If those loopholes are found in any application, it’s outright rejection. All the best to everyone. NB1912: |

You guys should jus be calm and be courteous. For your information, go and check my posts in this thread in the last 7 years (Canada study visa thread) I’ve been contributing without insulting. And you saying I’m not ready to migrate, for your information, I’m not even in Nigeria, I’m in Aussie atm. The fact that I ask a question doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing. phabulous88: 1 Like |

Bro, you can’t conclude just like that. There’s a reason why I asked. Requirements differ per country. Australia takes academic for immigration purpose. 79733139: |

To be very honest, it’s kind of trickery. If you will want to convert the money into investment certificate, you’ll have to show a statement that shows the origin of the money into the mutual fund investment account. Also, you’ll have to show the source of the money into your account that goes to the investment account. I’ve not seen someone that use fixed deposit certificate, only one person I saw was denied. Also, fixed deposit is well different from investment certificate and the differences may be why the applicant was denied. Lastly, your sibling will have to show proofs of the money in the don account . Why, is because, embassy want to see the flow and not just the chunk. The flow is what gives them the information if the account is ‘healthy enough’ to sponsor you. Obiora94: |

You can use a domicile account! But before you use a domicillary account, be sure you can explain the source of the money inside the don account. If not, don’t use it. Even if you’re using a naira account, you must be able to show the source of the money in the account. 20,000 USD, please convert it to Aud, know how much it is. Ensure it’s up to 60,000Aud before you proceed. Therefore, 20,000 USD, won’t be enough as POF. Obiora94: |

It’s not about the time it’s kept there. Ensure you keep a sitting balance of not less than 28-30m at any point in time showing on the account statement. You’ll print 6-months bank statement to embassy. fastseo: |

Oga! It’s not just about countering a claim, you may want to be objective here. Australia student visa isn’t a lucky chance deal. I hope the moniker doesn’t loose money on both ends. utrills: 4 Likes |
