@OP, I think you're normal but not just meant for naija soil.

Two days ago, I had a training somewhere in my trust, so, because of social distancing we were 4 learners in a room, our trainer was the 5th person. I happened to be the only black shaaa. Before we started I saw a bee singing at my back, I picked a clinel wipe, used it to gently hook it to a corner and pressed it, killed it and binned it.

We continued our training, to my amazement, another bee came in, the lady next to me used her book to just direct the thing to the window, and away it flew, then, came another bigger one, and the only man among us, went there with his jotter, and marched this thing away. I was now telling them it can sting, the others agreed, but chorused in one voice that oh, yeah, but not as horrible as wasps. I just dey laf in mai mind. Come to naija oohhh, our culture go shock all of una.
When a tiny bird sat on the roof at a distance, they called themselves and started saying how beautiful the poor thing was. Interestingly, these things too don't fear them, they relax and everybody lives together happily.

So, I wouldn't blame you brother. Some people were framed the way you're. My younger brother can't kill chickens too, the day my mummy asked me to kill one, she blamed herself, because, as I put knife and the thing flew its feathers, I threw the knife away and ran away, the cock started rolling the bloodied neck in the sand, momsy was angry kwa, she had to call a neighbour to help her.

I’d rather suggest you should just ignore him. When I saw his comment on my post, I almost answered him not until I checked his profile and I saw he’s a newly registered user.

I really don’t blame him too much as i suppose he should still be struggling on gaining admission to a university or probably battling with the challenges of a university fresher when we were right on this thread trying to help people out.

Please kindly ignore him bro.

This particular case is really of interest to me. I’ve read so many comments on this thread regarding this case but none has mentioned and advised her to request for her CAIP/GCMS file.

I think the first reason of denial is more than just what was wrote. It’s way complicated than that and only CAIP file can explain what was meant by that.

Please get your CAIP file and let’s see it together. You will def get your TRV sooner.

So sad i just received my rejection mail, reason for rejection
1 based on history of having contravened the conditions of admission on a previous stay in canada
2 family ties in Canada and in your country
3 based on purpose of visit
4 based on personal asset and financial status

Please the first reason can someone explain better

[quote author=Success2Success post=89244830]Please guys, I need some answers to these questions that I have been holding close to my chest for years;

Scenario
- I was denied a US visiting visa in 2018, and I remember I was asked to state my highest level of education. I stated I have a MBA.
1. please answer the visa denial truthfully.
2. If you’re going for MBA, I will advise you take out your MBA qualification. But if you’ve stayed it earlier before now, no going back bro.

Question
- I intend to apply for a 1 year PGC/PGD or a 2 years M.Sc course in Canada, do I need state my MBA degree in my visa application? especially if I decide to settle for a 1 year PGC considering that PGC is lower than a MBA, but the focus is actually to gain technical knowledge in a field related to my BSc degree.
Your best shot is to apply be MBA. Don’t attempt to go for PGC(D). I’m saying this because of the so many questions that the proposed program will dig out considering your previous qualifications. You might not be ready to start Answering those questions because of their technicality.

- Is Post Graduate Certificate the same as Certificate of Achievement?
[\quote]
don’t know if it’s same. You can check online though

[quote]
Scenario
- I had my BSc over 10 years ago in geology but only have about 1 year experience in the field. I have worked in other sectors not related to geology for over 7 years but with my current employment, I can tilt towards needing my geology experience.

This is is strong o.
1. You will have to explain study gap of ten years( should you be tendering your undergrad cert)
2. You will have to clearly convince the V.O why you’re going back to further in your geology field with vast Work experience in other field.
3. If you can tilt towards geology, then explain the correlation between your proposed course of study with your work experience. (Omo, dey prepare better SOP)

Question
- How difficult would it be to convince a VO that I want to go back to study for a PGC (1 year) in geology/ or geography for a field I left 10 years ago and have not practiced?

I won’t advise you go that route bro. It’s damn such a crazy route with very little hope of pulling through.

- Would going for a M.Sc of 2 years with the sole purpose of actually wanting to go back to my field which I have a BSc background in be a better argument?
[\quote]

I will advise this.

Apologies for the long story, I want to be sure on how to submit the best application and if possible get back to geology.

Help a brother, thanks.

Please be more explicit for you to get an answer to your Inquiry.

1. What program do you want to apply for with 12m?
2. In all applications, always answer truthfully. Disclose your previous denial to USA.

You can apply for your kids before leaving. Their application might not be put before your resumption though, but have it in mind that you may not go with them. And if it does come out before you resume, it’s okay. You can shoot me a dm for the LOE vetting.
JCXpert:

I have similar case of traveling with my 2 sons of age 4&7, I have been refused 3times ,I even requested for my GCM note but the kids were not mentioned as the ground for my refusal, I want to apply again, if I get my permit, can I apply for my kids before I travel in order to be able to travel with them, or I have to travel first and apply for them while there, they are just too minor to leave behind, pls I need ur guide. Besides i need some guru to vet my LOE before i resubmit my application.Thanks.

It’s not about looking for schools bro, it’s about getting a good LOI and securing a supervisor first. If you have a very good and unique research topic and you prepare a very good LOI, you will draw attention of potential supervisors. It’s not about school precisely here bro.

Nothing is impossible madam.

The only things is that, we’re being careful in putting in Application.

Situation like this can generate curiosity of home-ties which might make the V.O to result to “....not sure applicant will return home....” and bla bla bla.

It’s also not impossible though. If you can include in LOE the reasons why you will be going with your kids. But be ready to include in your letter the following.

1. Where’s your husband?
2. Won’t it affect your children education?
3. What’s the provision for your children education in Canada?
4. Cost implication for the upkeep of your children.
5. Why not taking the course in your country of residence?
6. What’s the advantage and career prospect of proposed course in Canada over your country of residence.

Questions 1-4 are personal questions which the VO might think about to inform his/her decision about application.

I will suggest you take the idea of your kids and aunt out of your application for now (just my suggestion though)to avoid complication cos application needs to be as simple as possible to wade off so many questions from VO.
My 2cents.

One thing that worked for me during my service year;

1. I don’t for go parades; I’m so lucky that soldiers don’t get to see me in bed whenever they come to the room early in the morning. So, that saved me. Once it’s 6:30 am, I know parade will be almost rounding up, I quickly take my water to the bathroom (by then all the soldiers are on the parade ground) and have my bathe before they messed up the bathroom.

2. Once everyone is back from the parade ground (shouting and sweating) I quietly walk out of the room to the pavilion on the parade ground. There I just sit alone with my thought or a book in my hand.

3. Whenever I have to be inside the room, I will only engage in discussion with my guy next to my bed we talk deeply or I engage a medical Doctor right opposite my bed ( we talk about his life at schools, experiences during his housemanship, he educate me on so many things in the medical line; I think introverts like to learn esp new things, or is it just my own curiosity?)

4. And lastly, I hang out most times when they sell books. Book vendors are my best friends. I spent all the money I brought to camp buying books, borrowed money again to buy books. When I was paid my first alawee, I bought books again before leaving the camp.

That’s just my two cent.

Hey guys

How do an introvert survive this nysc camp of a thing, cus I graduated last year and I’ll be joining the next batch. All through my university life, I stayed off camp and I lived alone, the thought of staying with so many people makes me feel terrified, like I can’t just survive there, I might just run home after few days, and I have been telling people around me that I’ll soon be leaving for camp, any alternative?

Check the remaining of the tuition fee plus L.E and flight cost implication with some reasonable amount left in the account. That should suffice.
