UgMartins1: thanks @penroll55....I will write the school for defer d admission to spring session. pls advise me on this: 1) when is d right time to reapply for appointment request from next month if they didn't response my mail till 31st October. (2) I heard d next spring session semester starts February 2016 ( precisely 1st week) ....which planned date of travel will I choose when I am applying for another appointment request ? If you defer your semester to spring that means you have to wait till the school send the name of candidate for spring session to embassy. You can apply anytime from next month you get information from the school they have sent the new names and your name is among. Since school resume February,u can chose any date as planned travel date before the resumption of the school. |

UgMartins1: hello .. friendz am confused, I got my unconditional acceptance letter & receipt payment slip on 13th October, from Cyprus international university CIU. the school ask me to book immediately to meet up registration dat ends 30 or 31st October but to book appointment with Turkish embassy it must be 8weeks advance to d planned date of travel . now I booked on the 13th October & my planned date of travel is 27th October but till now Turkish embassy have not respond to my mail. & I wrote d school & school replied , saying it might time for embassy to reply but I should get ready on time with my flight reservation to avoid inconvenience. pls advise me on wot to do because am confused October ending is almost here and most time Turkish embassy don't reply mails on time, also there is high chance they won't reply or might refused you interview because they know schools here have resumed. I will advice you defer your semester to spring because before you will come it might be late more and soon it will be mid term exams, you would have missed quizs, lectures, and short time to study or none at all since you will be busy settling down. Spring semester not far again, you will have enough time to process your visa before then . That's my advice to you |

Like wip explain earlier,u won't have problem in Cyprus or turkey airport or other countries airport but in Nigeria you have a high chance of having issue with those criminal immigration officers expecially when you are a first time traveller.... |

i mean before i apply for any US school, can it be written for me by Education consultants? thank u I guess all the polite negative response is not enough for you but you want someone that will be blunt with you and with insults before you learn....people like you are the ones that contributed to the poor educational system we have in Nigeria. Go and study and write the exam. Soon you will ask if you can sort the vo or lecturers in America |

Eureka123: I never got my refund from Turkish Airlines. If you went to their office and requested for the returned ticket to be cancelled and request for refund they will refund to the account number you provided in Nigeria. This is from my experience and others that have told and did it as instructed. If I may ask,did you go to their office in lefkosia requesting for refund?,did you book the flight yourself or via agent? |

shegxxymyth11: @ fados4sure how do you know it can be sold when i get to North Cyprus? What if i cant find a buyer? Does it means my money is wasted? You can request for refund from the airline company when you get to Cyprus. If you book the ticket yourself from the airline directly, the money will be return to you but if you booked it via an agent then the money will be returned to the agent.so you better let the agent know of your plans because at Times agents will tell u stories not to give you the money back or maybe claimed the airline did not return the amount they told you. Note this information is for Turkish airlines only,I don't know about other airlines or if they have office in Cyprus. |

mojibbz: Please can you direct me to someone I can meet who will help me with all these b4 friday the guy just faked it He didnt sign on the real certificate tho At the back of the real certificate,it will be signed with min of education seal on it and also the photocopy....this is information is based on my knowledge years ago so there might have been changes now. I didn't give anybody my documents when I did mine then,I went there very early even though there is much crowd as of 7am when I get there and we have to drop the documents in the office where it will be signed and pick up the next day. So my 1$ advice,go to Abuja 3days to your interview and verify it or perhaps do it again if the guy didn't do it as you think. This time don't give to anyone to do for you,you are a man(if am not wrong)and should be smart, struggle to the front with style, and come back here to give us your experience and help others also. |

mojibbz: Toor.. I don go enter one chance niyen... God!!! I dunno what to do.... I gave my certificate to this guy i met at the ministry of education with him promising to give me back the next day... Fast forward to 3 weeks later which was yesterday, i was still looking for this guy up and down abuja.. despite the fact that i dont live in abuja o... okay, i was grateful i collected it at around 7pm monday evening sha. went through the papers immediately.. i saw just 2 signatures on each paper supposed to be for both ministries. I was skeptical at first but the joy of collecting my certificate after 3weeks in abuja was overwhelming so i didnt mind... i got back to the garage and got in a commercial car for another 4hrs journey back to where i came from... throughout the journey, my mind wasnt at rest with just two signatures. i was expecting stamps and signatures although i've not seen an authenticated document b4. I couldnt hold it anylonger sha, so i called one of my guys that is at EMU and asked about the authentication stuff. he said there was supposed to be signatures. I wasnt thoroughly convinced but i had some peace of mind. On getting back to my crib, i looked at the supposedly authenticated documents again but the I knew i wasnt convinced that thats all i was supposed to get. hence the reason for my previous post. Now the problem is I have to be at the embassy on the 21st which is next week monday and honestly, i dont know what to do cause its only the authentication is that remains nowand i am seriously freaking out... i cant even tell my dad cos he already has thoughts i might not meet the students registration deadline at EMU. I'm so confused and perplexed...
N.B: signatures on both papers are the same as well as the dates..
CC: wip7 penroll55 Eureka123 Actually you don't need much signature on your documents. what ministry of education normally put is a seal and sign on it(as of years back,so don't know if it has change). I can't give concrete information now on the number of signatures if two or three but your worries should be if the guy really did what you ask and didn't just fake it. To help yourself better,go to Abuja 2 or 3 days to your interview and go to ministry of education to confirm the signature and your worries. Next time be more careful with giving people things that if lost wil take time and lot of money to get back(and possible won't get back) because people will do anything for money even if it will cost you your life. Hope I helped to an extent... Wish you good luck with your interview |

Eureka123: The visa requirements of course. Check the embassy website for it. Thanks for this your reply....at least u seeing some reasons why we respond badly at times to such questions. Majority of Nigerians don't want to help themselves but want others to do for them and they still complain agents eats their money when u want them to work for u....at least know the documents and then u can come here to ask if all are in place or more need to be added. |

If you go for interview like on Monday, you know your visa decision the upper week Monday but in general you will be notify at the embassy when to come for you passport. |

mojibbz: Thanks bro.. I've done that already.. Waiting for a reply fro the registrar's office. Please how many days does it take the turkish embassy to reply an application request mail?? No particular time frame as to when they reply because many factors are involved. As you applied so many people does also which might delay your message being read on time. Some people might apply today and get reply tomorrow while other might apply same day and get replied in weeks time. As long as u followed their rules and applied the specified way you will get a response. Just be patient but if after a month no reply yet then book another and call them. If you did the admission yourself,I can help you check with the account office if your transfer is here already, otherwise wait for the registrar reply |

godsong299: bro don't get me wrong you are right but I just feel it's best to give people the impression that they should get all listed rather than letting them have the impression that a particular requirement is not important , I have been hping people to get admission for years and I know embassy tend to change or make sure some ignored requirement in the past are been met, I am sure you know that there were cases in the past of people who don't have interview appointment date been interviewed after those who have dates but that does not happen anymore , so rules change, bro you know all this things you've been here for a while. Yea you are right and I agree with you. Just that the guy feel worried that why I have to tell him he can let go because his intl passport covers that also as a student though. Nice work you doing here, keep it up... |

godsong299: @pemroll how far , we have been in north Cyprus for some time now and yes when we did our there was no such requirement requesting for national I.D , one thing you should understand is that there are new rules , the embassy even sends you list of documents to bring which is listed on your visa interview letter uike before that we have to go to the website to check the list I documents to get, the last requirement on that list sent by the embassy is National I.D and the first is copy of the international passport relevant page , in my opinion I.d say you shouldn't give the embassy any reason to tell you to go get something extra that could be avoided , even some sent a post earlier stating ministry of foreign affairs is not needed , yes there have been cases with people been given visa without ministry of foreign affairs and there have also been cases where people were ask to go back to stamp that the ministry of foreign affairs and then come back before the 2pm time for interviews . I'll say do all that is been requested of you to do by the embassy , there is a reason for it to be listed on their requirement, @penroll @mrwip @godsong29 has been helping people on this forum only God will bless us, I am not discrediting you bro , so please don't take this the wrong way. Thank you Bro you are right on all your point listed above but why I said he don't need it is because the ID card stuff has been on the list way back and neither do I or other students have helped went with it but as you said he can go with it if he have it but he don't need stressing himself on that because they won't even ask of it. |

godsong299: someone had same issue during winter 2014 resumption and was resolved after I gave the person a copy of the letter sent to the embassy by the school which was attached to the email sent so it's what I know.you get a reply from the embassy if you got the right email or you contact them via the message or complaint page on their website. I guess u did the admission for him but always try to guide them rightly. First of all it is clearly stated without appointment you won't be allowed into the embassy and I know so many that have gone that way with no result and even if he is allowed into the embassy,he won't be interviewed without visa fee. All the same I rest my case and wish him well and hope you are right and am wrong. |

sollyaf0: @Penroll55 it I authenticated it at mininstry of education and at the ministry of foreign affairs. So would they accept it? Turkish embassy don't need authentication of foreign affairs just federal ministry of education. When authenticating, you have to authenticate the originals and copy because the copy will be collected, but as I said if you don't have time then go with just the copy authentication else try and authenticate all. |
