@penroll55 you don't pay another visa fee or book another visa appointment for such situation, you just contact the embassy after which the school or the person who did the admission here in nort Cyprus has contacted the school and confirmed the name has been sent to the embassy or to know what the problem was and if it has been resolved, then you contact the embassy via email with your details and they give you a date to submit your passport , you don't pay a dime..
Based on my past experience you have to only if things have change now as to this regard.
Let's hope it's so else you leading him to being punished or wait for eternity for a reply which he won't get to his email from embassy.

He can call the embassy around 12noon or 1pm to get full details so he get informed properly from the main source.

@ penroll55, i contacted the school directly, but no response from them and the person that did my admission is a Nigerian, but not an agent, he is also a student of Near East University, he told me i don't need to book for another appointment and pay another visa application fee, how true is this? as i am really so confused about it.

@ Fondy I paid my tuition fee on the 19th of August 2015 and I got my acceptance letter the next day, my appointment was on the 24th of August, which was last upper Monday.
From the bolded part above I guess you already book your appointment before paying your fees. Generally sending names to embassy takes process and 4days to your interview is not enough to send it across to the embassy.
By now I guess your name should be at the embassy but verify before going again.

An advice, dont be too hasty in life because most times it doesn't go well

Hey guys... So I paid my EMU tuition fees exactly two weeks ago and up till now, im yet to get a confirmation letter from the school. should I be worried?? Any ither person with such experience?
Normally it takes days to get it. If a student in emu did the admission for you then contact him/her to go to the registrar's office with your payment details and verify what's holding it because 2 weeks is too long for the money not to have gotten here.
But if you did it yourself, then try sending a mail to the registrar.

Hi,
I authenticated the print out copy of my waec result but later found out that it was my original waec certificate that was needed . If I take the authenticated print out copy of my waec result would it still be accepted for visa at the turkish embassy? huh
It depends on the type of authentication you did. If it's federal ministry of education authentication,I guess they would have requested for the originals before authenticating the printout .

If you have time, I will advice you go authenticate the originals also but if you don't ,then go like that but make sure you go with all originals of your document and copy also

Even if it's same day you going for different interview, you will be asked to pay the visa fee and it's same with most if not all embasses based on my experience.

As per you don't need to book another appointed,I guess the student that helped you with your admission went for his visa years back and don't know things have changed a lot with Turkish embassy Nigeria. You need to book another appointed as long as In the note given to you by the embassy does not state you can come again without appointed.

I would have help you with checking of your name but somehow busy now with stuff, so since the guy that help you with the admission is currently in Cyprus, tell him to go to the registrar office in NEU and verify because that will be faster than sending mail.

Good day sirs,

I got my travel passport yesterday at the Turkish Embassy without a visa on it sad what i got is just a green slip, what they wrote on it is "Name is not in the list " ( with a red biro)

Do i have to book another appointment again and pay another visa fee?

Also please how do i confirm if my name has been sent to the embassy as i am so confuse about this! I've spent a lot in this Abuja, please help!

Name: Olusegun Temitope Otunba
School: Near East University

i hope to hear from you as soon as possible

Thank you all!
The best way to check if your name is on the list contact the school directly or the person that did your admission if not agent in Nigeria.
As to the interview, you will need to book for another appointment and pay another visa application fee but before you book make sure you confirm your name have been sent so you don't waste more money and time.
Good luck

My name is Elvis i applied for an f1 visa two weeks ago in ukraine, cause i graduated last year as a computer engineer and did my intershape for eight months .now i got an admission from a university in the united state(master computer sc) and i applied for an f1 visa but i was refused i was told that i don't have strong ties that i have better changes in my home country (nigeria) but most of my classmate got their visa from ukraine too same week and the week before now im thinking of reapplying cause i have all the right documents , i felt i was been racially profiled that day . cause the ukrainians that was there going for study they could not even prove as much document has i have or explaine there self and with less question and they were issued visa. in the forum when applying it was wask if i have been refused a US visa ( i will say yes ) but i ask to explain why ? what should i say
When applying from another country other than yours ,you need to prove yourself very well because you already studying in another country and graduated but didn't bothering home,so you need to give them enough reason to show you will surely go back home and won't remain in the state after your masters....I believe that is why you are refused though but if you can post your transcript I guess I can help you from there.

Hello guys, I posted something regarding my friend's been unable to have his interview some days ago, he said he sent an email to the consular office and they confirmed he is good now to make an appointment. He said he tried making the appointment now but the earliest date he saw is in September at Lagos. He is seeking advise on what to do, and what can he do to get a date before his resumption date
Your friend doesn't know Nairaland to ask his/her question? Or you are an agent claiming to be helping your friend when you have eaten money that hooked you?

It might be dumb to you but am asking to know based on most oF the response like "we" or "those I interview"....am asking just to clarify my thoughts nothing more....and just an advice if u listen to advice though, try to be mature with your use of words because we all have our bad side which u might not like If it surface.

So hopefully this is a lesson. Some of the VOs have a bad reputation on Nairaland because people see them being refused, but maybe you are only seeing bad applicants get refused. Trying to dodge out of line delays the line for everyone else and, honestly, we see this and it immediately makes us suspect that you are trying to hide something. Just do the right thing and keep the line moving!
If you don't mind me asking,Do you work with The embassy or among the vo?

ok Thanks. Now the issue is i already submitted the new visa application with the old ds160.. i just realized now that i should update my profile with the new ds160 application ID.. i tried to.. but it is giving me error code with an option of "email us"

i dont want to cancel.. thats the last thing i will ever think of..
should i mail them?
Thanks
The best is to cancel and rebook again ,don't ever go with wrong ds-160 number because u won't be interviewed which will be waste of money because u have to pay another visa application fee and probably won't have a closer date. For the advice someone gave u no one is above mistake, don't listen to that ooo...even If it's just a letter in your name u made mistake they won't interview you.

Penroll, you know what they say about information seeking? It is infact endless and deep as the blue sea. First of all, I would want to applaud the patient nature of Mr Akeem, I have not seen such a man with so much decorum and wisdom. I asked penroll a question about the EMU offering a diploma programme, the next thing, he replied by typing" that is a stupid question" I tried asking him about the accommodation and spending plans and the next thing, he typed" don't ask me unecessary questions, not even MR WIP will answer such questions"
What a height of pride and insolence, You have not even gotten up to the international status of MR WIP and you are trying to ride a high horse? I have seen different complaints on this thread by nairalanders attesting to the fact that you are bad mouthed and have a haughty spirit. I looked at the 2012 thread and saw the questions you asked WIP during your pre and post admission process, such a plethora of questions yet he took his time to give you polite and concise answers. Here you are, acting all mushy and puffy, replying comments in the most indecent manner. The way to the top is to stay humble, If you aint MR WIP, you can't be MR WIP, work on your bankrupt personality, it would do you good, learn how to talk to people with respect, you don't know when you may meet them, it is a small world.
Just to clear the air with you....here is one of the response wip gave me when i ask a funny question back then and pay attention to the bolded part(would have sent you more of them from my mail). But that does not give me reason to insult him or carry face for him or still dont call him my boss....like you said, going to the top u need to be humble to those already at the top.....he is tired of responding to people like u and instead ignore which i will copy though because i learn from the best and dont talk bad to them.....Try and read and ask more about me to know me better my dear.

stop stop stop making me to laugh oooo you guys wont kill me with laugh

Go to EMU website you will find the address, google Turkish embassy address in Abuja you will get it...sometime you guys amazes me with sort of questions you ask and you are sure you are a student? and thats why i only answer questions not just typing pool

I asked him some other questions and he said"don't ask me, go and ask the person who did the admission for you, why don't you ask him all these questions"
I just shook my head in total dismay, I later checked my mail and discovered that MR WIP had replied my mail with veritable information, giving me clear details.
I hereby implore all nairalanders on this thread seeking admission to EMU to forward their complaints and questions Ito MR WIP, he will surely reply your mails, please don't channel your mails to PENROLL, he has lost every iota of decorum and decency, I looked up his profile and his name is IZUCHUKWU, my name sake too,Ibos don't behave like this, turn a new leaf and take a cue from MR WIP, he is a top gun at the international office of EMU but he is humble, thanks.
You ask me lot of questions which I humbly respond to. Am not competing with wip because he is my boss and also help me when I was about traveling also.i know wip and I know all the questions u ask me which I humbly reply to despite being busy except the last question which piss me of,wip won't answer them.
I ask u about who did the admission because I believe all those questions are what u should v ask before even sending your documents and when u told me your friend,I was surprise because he will be in better position to give u detail and truthful response.
I don't ask anyone to pm me,who wan to is free as I respond to the best of my understanding and also for you info I am not hiding my identity, lots of nairlanders know me peronally and still even ask me questions in person so I see no reason y u sayin my name like I am hiding or frauding anyone here.
All those question u ask me I believed u have ask wip and he didn't reply them that's y u asked me because I know wip won't answer them.i guess I shoul have ignored the last question like I didn't see it.
Anyhow am not fighting with u or competing but I post that to know if its logical to ask that particular question.responding to questions is free not like am being paid or wip is,so see no reason for u saying all question should go to wip,and besides some questions am asked I don't know I still ask wip for answer to it.
Good luck man,as mr wip said na God win,not u or I.

Hello,Please i will like to know you guys response to this question if you are asked...

Someone going to study a four years program(that is bsc) in a university, got the admission and ask you so many unnecessary question but you replied despite all and finally he ask you please what degree will be awarded if he graduate,if bsc or diploma.

My question goes thus...

1. If am wrong(i stand to be corrected),does a four years bsc course offer diploma when you graduate?

2. If the answer to the above question is NO,then what would be your response to the person that ask the question or perhaps u will ignore it ?

3. If YES, please i will like to know more about such university.

Thanks and i await response please.

If you are a Nigerian abroad and you get an award, won a scholarship or did something good, Nigerians will say oh, he is our child, we are proud of him or her, in fact they will pray for more success for the person but if you commit crime or they arrest you for drugs, Nigerians will abuse you and your entire tribe. When you ask them why they are not calling that one their child as well, they will tell you, let everybody bear hin papa name o... . What am I saying in essence? Wherever we are and whatever we are doing, we must always strive to succeed legally and we must never do things that will soil our dignity. If you are also into crime and you are lucky not to have been caught, you still have the chance to start afresh, if you want to commit crime, think twice. Success has many friends and if we are all hardworking and persevering enough, the world will celebrate us too one day. Harsh?... Point out where the harsh words are OR you just want to type...
If you need her to point it out, here is it...i quote "Yeah your friend must be a clown, At 28, going for an Associate degree , in a community college, for summer, he's a very big clown!."

You dont have to call his friend a clown all because of that.....you should know most Nigerians wanting to travel is not all about the school but for a greener pasture so what you should have done is to give him a proper advice and way forward instead of those harsh words and insults.
He felt going for that will cost him less money(which i believe he dont intend schooling there though) but he was wrong because such will mean easy refusal.

Please lets try and be constructive with our words at times even if some people are a pain in d ass but the truth is we learn in everyday of our life.

Yes you will need a dormicilary account to be able to make transfers abroad. You may have to find a means of getting those guarantors as opening the account will be very useful to you in future as you will have to pay your tuition as well. Have you been admitted already at UNIC?
what you just stated is same thing the guy said just in a different way without any solution.....if you have a way out for him then tell him not quoting him again in a different way like he didnt understand what they(bank) said.

What he asked was if there is any other way out besides what the bank said...
