no need for arguments bro, i just told you how it went for me.. So the fams you said was granted visa 16-17years old. Was it this year?
Yea this semester, came Friday and finished registration yesterday.
Like I said maybe other reasons lead to your refusal not just age(if u really sure it's age).
Anyhow try and see if the school can interven on your behalf so u can go again but if your mind is really made up u joy coming again then request for your fees the earlier time.
Sorry for the refusal though.

where and how do u view their new visa policy?
E reach to ask because I know of two people 16 and 17 who just got their visa and currently in Cyprus now. I just ignore him to avoid argument

note wrong man, it is stated in there new policy, i'm a victim too
There is no where in the new policy where it is stated if u under 18 your visa will be denied.
If you below 18 you need a letter from your parents/guardian.
Your refusal is based on other factor which u don't know cus Turkish embassy don't give reason for denial, but for your age being the reason is far from it,only if u below 15 or 15 of which even emu won't grant you admission.

Hey guys please I would like to know if the VO would ask one about travel history during interview for studies
If you take your time to read other people visa transcript then u will get a perfect answer to your question.
One person can tell u no they don't or they do but it's not enough when u get lots of answers from people's transcript here. That's is the essence of posting transcript here not to extend the number of pages
Good luck

Thanks Mr.Penroll 55 but you are getting it all wrong. i am not looking for assistance from the school or anything like that. All i want to know is if i can go ahead with the payments and still be able to get the visa this month because i i saw on Turkish embassy website that those applying for education visas usually should apply 2-3 months before intended travel date and if at all the payments it is not possible, can i defer my admission till JUNE. Thanks
Yes you can defer your admission till June and as for the embassy 2-3 month issue is just incase of problem so u know u have enough time and won't miss out on anything.
If they suspect any of your submitted document normally it takes a month or more to very it that's why.

Thank You Mr. Penroll55 for your answer and Good Morning. I was offered admission to EMU last year to begin studies by February this Month, me and my parents started the whole process of payments since 4th January 2016 and its been very hard because the banks my parents operate with couldn't pay the fees due to scarcity of dollars, i read about Diamond bank Form A in this thread, its been 2 weeks now since we started the whole signing of forms and the bank is still complaining that dollar hasn't arrived from CBN. Now, my Dad suggested that i should write to the school about deferment of admission till June due to the fact that it was stated on my admission letter that Proficiency of English Examination was gonna be on the 22nd of February and the Turkish Embassy advised that we should apply for visa 2-3 months before departure. Please my questions are as follows:
1. Is there any hope to still make it to cyprus this month?
2. What do you advice? because the bank process is still on and my mum is about to cancel it.
Please and Thank You.
As for the English exam Nigerians are normally exempted from it as long as u have a C in your English.
As to the embassy 2-3 booking before applying is just in case of issues so u want have to miss any deadline relating to your studies or business.
As for this semester I doubt if u can still make since classes begin 22 of this month. If you chose to defer then I will advice u still try to make the payment now and request for now admissio letter so u know the stress of making the payment is settled and u sure of coming next semester.
Good luck

please how long does it take to be offered visa after the online application.
If you asking of north Cyprus(Turkish transit visa), it takes one week (only if it has change as of this session) ,that is assuming your visa interview is on Monday,u will get your passport/visa decision the next week Monday. It was a day before but changed to a week

Am prepared
To be sincere with you ,am not sure any school in Cyprus will give newly admitted student assistantship when you have not registered or done a semester with them.
Normally they give those their students they already know their academic background.
Just felt like responding to your post so you don't come with the mindset of u will get assistantship to cover fees and later get disappointed because many have.
Good luck and plan well so you don't come regretting.

not when am there, before I get there, need it to pay minimum tuition fee
How do you expect a bank to give u loan when u not even in the country, how are they sure you will pay back.
You guys should ask reasonable questions, am even surprise someone is responding to your question.
You don't have money for tuition then stay back in Nigeria, schooling abroad is not cheap and don't have the idea of if I can pay first semester fee others will be easy to pay when u work,it is almost impossible as a student to work and pay school fees with that...even Nigeria banks won't give you loan and you expect a country where you not a citizen or even a student yet to give you loanhuh??

Yes documents will be uploaded irrespective of the visa types.

Visiting

Example for my friend visiting from Seychelles, I uploaded official invitation letter for them, the hotel, insurance and flight info. After these were uploaded, the appointment issued. Making it faster

For students,

Those coming for studies will need to upload the following

1 Biometric Photo
2 Authorisation by Parents /Custodians (under 18 yrs of age)
3 Student Certificate /Acceptance Letter
4 Equivalence Statement
5 Income Statement / Sponsorship Letter
6. Insurance if you choose it
Thanks for the info

Actually the online platform is very easy to complete. It took me just 10 mins to finish complete that. I completed it for my friends visiting me from Seychelles just 2days ago. As par the health insurance, it's stated on number 3 page that is necessary. So kindly purchase 1-3 days insurance and upload it.

The online platform is straight forward and I think it will really assist in the appointment date issuance cos it seems faster now and it will prevent lobbying or bribing at the embassy.
All necessary steps are shown and given online. Anybody that can fill Jamb form will do this much easier.
Boss when filling the online form, did you upload any document ?
If yes will like to know the documents required during the application

I have been able to make progress just left for me to make my final submission which i intentional did. The beauty of it is that u get appointment without waiting for the embassies reply. The only challenge is the site being down at times but i think it is okay 4 now.

@penroll i will like u also to give ur experience on this, i have seen u answered dat precise question in the past but i can find the exact page it is. though Mr wip replied but he stod in between the coin and it is the reason 4 not submiting my application.

My question is on my
sponsor's bank statement.
My sporsor's bank statement is very good in terms of cash flow it is
29 pages showing transaction. the opening balance is arround 3.5 mil
but as at dec 31 the closing balance is 530,000. Is turkish embassy
concerned with the closing balance
Thanks
Mr wip has answered you already but just to add, closing balance matters and the cash inflow also matters....you can bring a bank statement that closing balance is 2million but that money was paid a year ago,how will u be able to continue with fees and other expenses when the inflow is slow.

So in conclusion both closing balance and cash inflow matters but with that amount and if the inflow is okay then you don't have to worry yourself.

Please note, the above information is not from the embassy or any embassy officials but just an assumption from past students experience because I know of someone that went with 200k and got the visa and someone went with 5million and was refused(meaning embassy still have their own criteria and making their decisions)

Now my turn to ask, since you are done with the application and remaining submitting the form.
What are the documents you were asked to upload or there is no uploading of documents?

Gooday Wip and my other boss
I have being on this new application for visa since yesterday. As at yesterday the site was down and today i can not move beyound stage three. I want to ask if it is important to get health insurance during the application cos there is a place where it was asked if i presently hav health insurance but there is room to click on no
I am begining to have the feeling of losing pants of blood due to this stress.
Pls what help and advice can u give
The online appointment platform is a new development which just begin January this year, so there is little knowledge about it for now.

For you to help others as we are helping you, if u finally figure it out you done with the appointment please do drop your process and necessary requirements to get ready at hand during application so others can learn.

house please i need information regarding this... i did a three year program from NIIT and want to transfer to EMU to get my Bachelors degree which i think should take me a semester... but im 28 years of age.. im i eligible to get admission into this prestigious university, cos since i got my cert and my transcript from NIIT i have working and now i need to further my schooling. And if im not eligible to gain admission into EMU, which school in Cyprus can take me with my age.

Thanks, waiting for a favorable response
It's not possible for you to transfer with NIIT and do just one year, the least you can do is one and half years and that depends on the number of course that will be exempted for you and how well you do in those courses, also,NIIT transcript still not fully accepted unlike aptech because lot of student from NIIT have issues and most times they only remove just one year for them(meaning they have 3 more years to go).

For your age,EMU have maximum age restriction for undergraduate as 25 but you can apply and if accepted then you have to prepare a strong reason to give the embassy why you going for undergraduate now at that age which I believe you should be able to get from your little writeup.
Aside EMU, some other schools like CIU might accept you despite your age but the issue then will be embassy.

Good day to you all,

Is it possible to get admission for masters for September 2016 intake at any Cyprus Universities now?
No it's not possible because spring admission is still going on . If any school admission system will be open for that September session, decision on your admission won't be made till around May/June or later.

It's good to get all your document ready. Keep them in your hand-luggage or backpack not anywhere else wink. But I remember I was asked my passport (plus visa ofcourse), I-20, proof of sevis payment, admission letter, then they took my bio-data (basically fingerprint and snapshot). Getting your I-901 handy is also good.

People should please check me on this
Which one is l-901, I only have I-20.
Please more insight will be appreciated.

Please guys, my uncle is trying to type the sponsorship letter but the issue am having is that I don't know who to address it to . Can someone please enlighten me on how to go about that?

This is all i know

"To the Turkish Embassy"
------
------
--------
What will i put underneath?
Thanks
Since the requirement for the sponsorship letter is from the embassy,it should be address to the Turkish embassy stating, little details of what he does(like where he works or if he is the owner of dash company), that he will be sponsoring you all all through your studies and you won't be a Borden to school and country and all dues or fees will be paid as of when due. This is just an idea not the formal write up.

The letter is required to be signed and stamp by a notary public(from the requirement a seal not just a stamp unless it has change ).

Good luck with your interview and happy new year

I need to take back my tax since they've decided not to renew your mental rehab stay, knowing fully well that you're a menance to the society grin
bigfrancis21:
Well, after you arrive here in the US you would find out that you need a form of identification at many places you go to. As an international student, your international passport is a form of identification but you won't always carry your passport around and some places would ask for a government-issued ID, meaning an ID issued by the US government.

A drivers license or a state ID from the state you live in both suffice as form of ID for you. You can either get a state ID or drivers license. Here in Maryland, you're not allowed to have the two. If you get a state ID and later go for a drivers license you'll be asked to tender your state ID. If you first obtain a drivers license, you cannot be allowed to have a state ID later.

Basically, state ID and drivers license look the same physically, at least for here in MD, except that on the state ID there would be something written on it like, 'This is not a driver's license'.

For those still in Nigeria, as soon as you get here try to get a state ID or drivers license and for those who drive in Nigeria and intend to drive after they get here I strongly RECOMMEND that you come here with your drivers license, especially the new form being issued of recent. Or get an international one before coming. Here in MD, for example, you can exchange your Nigerian drivers license for a US one and that will skip you from having to get the learners permit you'll first get and drive with for as many as 18 months if you didn't have a license when you applied. You would still have to take the online and physical driving tests and maybe a few hours of drug abuse class depending on your state. If your drivers license is going to expire soon before you leave Nigeria, please renew it before coming here. I renewed mine shortly before I left Nigeria in 2013 and it's valid for 3 years expiring sometime by the ending of this year. I'm currently preparing to get my US drivers license very soon and having one from your country really helps to save you time.

The MVA (as it is called here in the Washington DC metro area to avoid conflicting with the usage of 'DMV' here that refers to DC itself, Maryland state and Virginia state that make up the greater Washington DC area) or DMV in your state issues this ID. And you'll need a form of identification (your international passport), proof of lawful status (such as I-20, your status which they verify with DHS here in MD), proof of residency in the state, and your original SSN card to apply. Depending on your state you may need extra documents.
Thanks so much for the explanation

How many days to interview can i get to abuja to get the authentication done
As to how many days I can't say because it depends on the population at the ministries.

I will advice since you free now you can and do it so if it takes u more days to do it you won't be disturbed or fall victim to those guys there looking for easy money, but if you wish to go during your interview time then go at lease 5 days to your interview so you will be sure you can do it before your interview day(during my time it took me 3 days just to do only ministry of education cus then no need for foreign affairs) and make sure you go to the ministry as early as possible so you can be among those to be attended to on time.

Hi Everyone,
i want to know how important is authentication at the ministry of foreign affair cos i av read on previous post that turkish embassy do not care about ministry of foreign affairs. Below is an exerpt of document to come with sent to me by embassy after appointment approval:
*9.* Proof of basic education, *copies* of graduation diploma and
certificates (W.A.S.C., S.S.C.E., Statement of Result, etc.) duly *signed
and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs* thereafter,
*10.* Proof of BA education, copy of university graduation diploma duly
signed and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs thereafter.(For master students),
Thanks
Time past ministry of foreign affairs was not needed nor included on the list but since it's included on the requirements now then you have to do it and consider it as important.
