The Yorubas are parasites. If not for Biafra region, West would still be using 100% firewood as major source of fire for cooking(Companies are the ones using the gas anyway) All these Years they have been relying on other regions for their horrible survival and existence. This explains why South West shouts One Nigeria like their horrible life depends on it.

MetaPhysical: Anambra"illegitimate"son,
1. Shell has operations in Escravos, Seplat does not.
2. ANOH is a joint venture Shell/Seplat.
3. ANOH is a project and operates OML53 and OML21. Between the two there are six wells, drilled for oil.
4. Shel/Seplat is mining oil from underground.
5. When the oil gets to surface it is taken through refinement to extract gas.
6. The gas is piped and stored in Oben storage facilities.
7. From Oben, gas delivery trucks are filled and rolled out to take the end product to nearby markets, including Imo State. Lagos is not a nearby market and there is no truck rolling from Oben to Lagos.
8. So how do you get gas from Oben to Lagos? ....or from Imo to Lagos? Impossible under current arrangements. If ever it will be done it will be gas pipeline from Oben going to Escravos to connect to ELPS.
9. Is there a gas pipeline from Imo to Lagos? No.
10. Is there pipeline from Oben to Lagos? No.
11. Is there gas reserve in Imo? No.
....but if there is we would love to know so we can scatter it and Imo and Biafra remain a powerless state under Oduduwa exploitation.
Get sense! Pentagon007: The gas from ANOH is to be taken to OBEN(owned by Seplat) processing plant. Then after processing, it is then taken to Escravos from where it will then be piped onwards to Lagos. STOP trying to twist fact. In a report concerning the Owerri gas operation, it is stated thus; ”The processed gas will be transported to the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) and West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) through a 26km-long spur line connecting to the OB3 pipeline. The produced LPG will be trucked directly to Owerri, while the condensate will be exported to either Shell Bonny and or ENI’s Brass River terminal" |

The Sad waste region are parasites. But that NNPC MD is stupid. Why will he be piping gas from Igboland to Lagos whereas he has not first connected all the South East states who own the gas itself. Anyways it is good that the SE govs exposed this grave injustice and manipulation but importantly they need to address that problem, and urgently. |

If you are up to the task, bring up a worthy city in igboland and let's argue about the most developed city between Ibadan and that city on the basis of. Population Education Health care system Transportation Standard of living Infrastructure The most short after.
Don't be afraid boy. This Afonja sef...We have gone this road before and nairaland can remember how Yoruba bloods were splashed the whole threads. the memory still lies fresh in the minds of your Afonja brothers and i bet If you go through the threads, You might still find some fresh Yoruba skulls to pick home |

Lagos has never been a Yoruba land. Binis are the sole owners of Lagos. That is why Yorubas pay rent to their Igbo landlord. Ibadan instead is a bonafide yoriba state which Started as an IDP camp by the way. |

Igbochief001: Lol foreign investment ...why do you people even celebrate foreign investments
This is one thing I like about our people we don't give foreign investment many chances before they come we already have local companies doing it
A company which invest $50 million dollars into your economy would take $500 million out of it over 20 years ....but if it's a Nigerian or locals your economy would grow by 500 million dollars more
Ota would have close to the same industry as nnewi but you can't compare both why ? One is foreign investment one is local
I'm a believer in 100% Africapitalism
And as for night mile read about it ...
The industrial complex u just showed is almost same size as the one owned by master energy in abia Exactly! This is elementary economics. Most foreign investors are not really after the good of the host community. It is all about excess profits to them. I can bet that at the end of the day, most of the workers there won't even have any reasonable income to see after their private affairs. The Yoruba populace do not have disposable income, so where would you expect them to get money to renovate old dilapidated houses? Where would they get money to change the brown roofs to what is obtainable in the South East? |

Sanromeo: When does brown roofs now translate to poverty? The East where there's no brown roofs, we see how they sell their birth rights for few litres of kerosene and a plate of Fufu. We don't do that here. Do you even know the enormous threat those Rusty corrugated roof pose on the life of Yorubas? With the evident poverty there, it is pretty obvious those people cannot access borehole water and thus will rely on rain water dropping from those Rusty roofs. In the East, clean borehole water is the cheapest thing you can access. It is not even a luxury because most building have it done even before the building is erected and adorned with Modern new Zealand roofing sheets |

The whole environment looks disgusting. Look at the massive brown roofs surrounding the environment. This picture offers a more credible statistics on the extreme poverty ravaging Yoruba land. SW needs to invest more in their people so as to improve their living situation. |

The man Awolowo was anything but just. I am from the South Sound and I can remember all my father used to say about how the Yoruba people oppressed and marginalized we the Midwest during the time of Western Region. This thread and information from other sources really exposed Awolowo for the tyrant and oppressor he was. |
