Chairman Diamond Leeds Limited, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu, OFR, (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) has called for the integration of digital technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Robotics, Games and Simulations, Adaptive Learning Algorithm and a regular review and updating of the curriculum to ensure its relevance and alignment with the evolving needs of students and adequately address current societal challenges and technological advancements.


High Chief Ifekudu noted that the current approach of memorizing and regurgitating as the basis for acquiring knowledge in Nigerian schools has become less valuable because knowledge can now be easily recalled with the push of a button on digital devices.



He bemoaned Nigeria's present education curriculum which is centred on the acquisition of abstract terms, content mastery, more exam-oriented, over-reliance on paper qualification which stifles creativity, hinder the development of students' higher-order thinking abilities, problem-solving skills, can-do attitude of an individual and significantly impacts of on students’ ability to apply the terms in problematic situations.


He further expressed sadness that Nigerian students are lagging behind when compared with their counterpart in first world countries where schools are incorporating emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality, into the classroom to enable more innovative and engaging teaching methods and learning experiences.


He stated that year four students at St. Leonard’s College, a primary school in Australia, are using tablets loaded with math apps and e-textbooks to access information, receive instruction, record measurements, and conduct research while in Vanderbilt University, graduate students are designing an Android app that enables visually impaired students to learn math. Using haptic technology integrated into new touchscreen devices, the vibrations and audio feedback help students feel and hear shapes and diagrams.


He re-emphasized that integration of technology will improve learning among Nigerian students. He stated that rather than learning about medicine in a standard classroom setting, students in one location can Zoom with medical professionals around the world and learn about their work and even see items they’re working on in real-time and also learn science on the International Space Station and traveling back in time to explore ancient Rome and role-play out important historic events with all from the safety of the physical classroom.


He passionately appealed to
the federal Ministry of Education, Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), National University Commission (NUC) Vice chancellors of Nigerian Universities and Stakeholders in the education sector to take into cognisance, the shift in technological paradigms such as artificial intelligence, robotics engineering and different emerging concepts in redesigning befitting new school curricula for Nigerian institutions, seek increased funding from private and government establishment because a developed economy or nation is a reflection of the human capital development which can only be achieved through proper levels of education measured in qualitative terms.

He revealed that Dr. M.I Okpara was responsible for setting up the Trans Amadi Industrial Area, Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt and Enugu Michelin Tyre Factory in Port Harcourt, Obudu Cattle Ranch in Calabar, the Owerri shoe Industry, the Aba Textile Mill with industrial gas piped from Port-Harcourt and Port Harcourt sea port expansion.


He stated that Dr. Okpara innovated farm settlements patterned after the famous Israeli Kibutz in Igbariam, Anambra state, Ulonna North and South in Abia state, Uzo-Uwani in Enugu state and Ohaji in now Imo state and further established enormous estates of oil palm, rubber, cocoa, cashew with intercropping of pineapples, banana, plantain and cassava at Amaeke Abam and Ndioji Abam, Arochukwu, ozuitem, with massive palm plantations spread across the entire region to make the old Eastern region economically self sufficient. The Senior Special Assistant To President Tinubu on Community Engagement (North West ) Hon. Abdullahi Yakassia has called on Nigerians to reinvigorate their faith in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR because Mr. President is committed to lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty through the Conditional Cash Transfer program and other initiatives. He further assured the good people of North West zone that the ongoing
verification of National Social Register for the disbursement of conditional cash transfer to 25 million poor families across the country will capture the poor and needy homes across the North West zone.


Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Hon. Yakassia commended the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu for her efforts in the sensitisation of Nigerians about the ongoing verification, he further expressed his readiness to collaborate with the Honourable Minister in her painstaking efforts to actualise the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Civil Society Coalition Forum (CSCF) A Coalition of frontline National Advocacy organisations in Nigeria has warned against any subtle clandestine move by some disgruntled politicians and Interests groups to create chaos and instability in the Senate as well as pitch Nigerians against the Senate President, His Excellency Obot Godswill Akpabio.


The Director General, Civil Society Coalition Forum, Amb. Comrade Timothy Nwachukwu LLB while
responding to newsmen in Abuja over the news report on the plot by disenchanted lawmakers to instigate opposition against the Senate President stated that the Civil Society Coalition Forum (CSCF) is monitoring the situation and will not hesitate to mobilise against those behind the sinsiter plot against the Senate President.



In his words, "it is regrettable that some lawmakers seems not to be aware of the enormous challenges facing the nation and the need for the stability of the Senate to work Harmoniously with the Executive arm of the government to drive economic growth, create enabling environment that will attract foreign direct investment which will inturn create jobs for the massive Nigerian youth populace".


"On the issue of political appointment by President Tinubu, The lawmakers should be more concerned about the competency and capacity of the appointees to deliver on their various positions. There is need to downplay on the religion or ethnicity of the appointees but rather focus on their ability to drive into materialisation the vision of the present government. A very clear example is the minister of Interior whose landmark achievement within the shortest time he has been in office dwarfed all the accomplishment of his predecessors especially as it relates to the issuances of Nigeria passport to applicants".


Recall, that Senator Elisha Abbo (APC, Adamawa North) in a newspaper interview had accused Akpabio of marginalising rivals and their supporters in the Senate’s leadership contest, with regards to the distribution of committee positions.

However, a source within the northern caucus disclosed that that real anger of the lawmakers is incapacity of the Senate President to checkmate what some northern lawmakers have called ‘Yorubanisation’ of the country’s financial system and economy and Akpabio’s alleged refusal to deal with powerful interest groups, particularly, some petrol importers and electricity distribution companies, bordering on 40 per cent electricity tariff hike and payment of outstanding money to fuel importers.


The Civil Society Coalition forum futher advised the disgruntled lawmakers to prioritise the interest and welfare of the generality of Nigerians over their personal ambition and desist from allowing themselves to be bought over by economic interest groups who are bent on sucking the nation dry through fuel Subsidy payment and electricity tariff hike.

SEYI TINUBU'S AIDE HON. FRANCIS EZEUDE PANEGYRISE PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR RESTORING NIGERIA - UAE RELATIONSHIP.




Hon. Francis Ezeude, A close aide of Seyi Tinubu has eulogised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his prompt intervention and restoration of the diplomatic and bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates and for securing commitment for investments worth Billions of dollars.


The UAE had last year stopped issuing visas to Nigerians followed by the suspension of visa and flights by the Emirates airline after it was unable to repatriate funds due to forex restrictions.


Hon. Francis Ezeude stated that President Tinubu diplomatic meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan produced enormous benefits for Nigeria as they initiated a new era of collaboration and friendship between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.


Following the intervention of President Tinubu, UAE announced Immediate lifting of the visa ban placed on Nigerian travelers. Resumption of flight schedules into and out of Nigeria by Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines, without any immediate payment required from the Nigerian government.


Hon. Ezeude restated that President Tinubu futher attracted robust investments in various sectors worth several billions of U.S. dollars into the Nigerian economy by the UAE government, covering multiple sectors including defense and agriculture and established a new joint foreign exchange liquidity programme between Nigeria and the UAE.

Paul Oyiburume has commended the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited (NNPC Ltd) Dr. Mele Kyari (OFR) for initiating rapid changes that has guaranteed the profitability of NNPCL and the increase in Nigeria’s crude oil production level (including condensate) to 1.67 million barrels per day (bpd).

He stated that through the visionary leadership of Dr. Mele Kyari, NNPCL implemented various reforms which include publishing financial and operational reports, conducting regular audits, and ensuring competitive bidding processes for contracts thus improving transparency, accountability, and governance in the oil industry.


He revealed that through the avowed commitment of Dr. Mele Kyari to increase local refining capacity and reduce the country's dependence on imported petroleum products.

He restated that in a bid to create employment opportunities and promote economic growth, NNPCL under the leadership of Mr. Kyari increased its collaboration with local stakeholders, provided training and capacity building programs, and encouraged the participation of Nigerian companies in oil and gas projects.

uninterrupted production and export of petroleum products, the Nnpcl Gmd worked tirelessly with Nigeria security agencies to strengthen the security of oil and gas assets in Nigeria thus resulting in a significant reduction in oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and illegal bunkering.

He further highlighted that Dr. Kyari recognized the importance of renewable energy and environmental sustainability in the oil and gas industry. Administration is a process of systematically arranging and co-coordinating the human and material resources available to an organization for the main purpose of achieving stipulated goals of that organization. There are many other definitions of the word administration but the above definition captures most of the essential words in other definitions of administration.
An administrator is someone who carry’s administrative duties at whichever administrative cadre he/she finds him/herself. The following are examples of administrators; Managing director, President, Governor, Manager, Supervisor, Foreman etc, These people are involved in administrative duties courtesy of their positions.
Among other things an administrator must be knowledgeable about the following basic functions; planning, organizing, directing and controlling. At high echelon of administration, the person for such position needs to get necessary training from an administration institution. There are a couple of them in Nigeria such as ASCON, Chartered Institution of Administration (CIA) etc. William Nwankwo also fits into the description above. His administrative traits were inborn which he later upgraded through formal education. He started his administrative duties in his native town of Ekwetekwe Umuezeoka in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State where he functioned as a general monitor of Community Primary School, Ekwetekwe between 1975 and 1976. He was also a senior sanitarian at St. Hidans Secondary School, Umuezeoka between 1981 and 1982. As he grew in age and education he started holding higher administrative duties. Between 2002 and 2003 he was the transitional chairman of Ezza West Local Government Area. From 2007 to 2013 he was the co-ordinator of permanent secretaries in Ebonyi State.
Currently he is the permanent secretary, Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy. Until his present posting he had served in several ministries as Permanent Secretary.
Before assuming higher administrative responsibilities, he first went for requisite academic qualifications. After his bachelor of Arts (Hons) in 1989, he went for PGD in public administration in 1994. He also has MSc in 2012 before he went for his doctorate degree. To function as a seasoned administrator he attended ASCON. He is also a fellow of Chartered initiate of Administration. He is equally a member of Institute of Co-operate Administration.From the number of years he has put in the administrative duties of the Country, starting from his State, Ebonyi he deserves more challenging duties that will impact on the lives of Nigerians. He could be elevated with an ambassadorial posting because he has the wherewithal to represent the country at any level. Prior to his appointment as Ohanaeze ceremony chairman, Sir Ichie Nwabueze, a professional accountant, ex- banker and a former MD Premier Breweries PLC Onitsha, served as the chairman Ukpo ceremonies committee and successful organised high profile events in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local government area of Anambra State. Ohanaeze Ndigbo was formed in 1976 by the renowned constitutional lawyer, Professor Ben Nwabueze and supported by Kingsley Mbadiwe, Dr. Francis Akanu Ibiam, Dr. Michael Iheonukara Okpara, Dr. Pius Okigbo, and Chief Jerome Udorji (who served as the first Secretary General), among other notable Igbos and it's current President General of is Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo).



Ohanaeze Ndigbo plays a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Igbo culture, traditions, and language. It organizes cultural events, festivals, and exhibitions to showcase the rich heritage of the Igbo people. The Apex Igbo body also serves as a voice for the Igbo people, advocating for their rights, interests, and development within the Nigerian state. It actively engages with government officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders to address issues affecting the Igbo community.


It further strives to promote peaceful coexistence and harmony among different ethnic groups in Nigeria. SEN. UBANESSE IGBEKE WARNS AGAINST MILITARY ACTION IN NIGER REPUBLIC.


The Estwhile Senator of The Federal Republic of Nigeria from Anambra North, Distinguished. Senator Ubanesse Alphonsus Igbeke has called on the federal government to shelve it's plan of invasion of Niger Republic as such action will destabilise the region, create an avoidable humanitarian crisis.


Speaking to newsmen in Abuja at the backdrop of ECOWAS meeting in Abuja to review it's ultimatum to Niger's military junta.


Sen. Ubanesse stated that every situation is unique, and the ramifications of any potential military intervention would depend on multiple factors including the aims of the intervention, the response of various actors, and the broader geopolitical dynamics in the region.


He warned that military intervention could potentially trigger a broader regional conflict, leading to increased instability in the West African region and the conflict could spill over into neighboring countries, exacerbating existing tensions and potentially leading to a broader regional conflict.


He further highlighted that armed conflict against Niger will results in displacement of civilians, infrastructure damage, and disruption of basic services. This could lead to a humanitarian crisis, affecting the local population and neighbouring states in Nigeria that has boundaries with Niger Republic.


He further warned that the devastating economic impact will negatively impact trade, investment, and infrastructure, leading to economic instability not just in Niger but also in neighboring countries.


He further stated that the coup plotters and thier supporters will seek to resist Nigeria's military intervention thereby leading to a prolonged conflict and possible guerrilla warfare.


Sen. Ubanesse advised the Federal Government to further engage diplomatic measures and avoid a possible military action which will have a direct economic consequences on Nigeria's lean resources.

*Hon. Ibrahim Masari, The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on Political Matters has assured Nigerians of the commitment of Mr. President towards promoting inclusive and accountable governance to achieve long-term political stability in Nigeria.*

INFLATION: SENATOR UBANESSE URGE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO CUT COST.


Senator Ubanesse Alphonsus Igbeke, The Estwhile Federal Lawmaker and Business Mogul has called on the federal government to take urgent steps to stern the Nigeria's rising inflation which has accelerated to 22.79 according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.



Speaking in Abuja when he paid a visit to the Chairman of Efab Properties, Chief Fabian Nwaora, Sen. Ubanesse revealed that tackling inflation requires a comprehensive and coordinated approach which involves Implementing monetary, fiscal, and structural policies that will
stabilize prices, promote economic growth, and improve the overall well-being of Nigerians.


He opined that Inflation has a negative impact on the economy and the well-being of Nigerians hence, the federal government should imbibe fiscal discipline, reduce unnecessary and wasteful expenditures, streamline government spending plans, implement Anti-Corruption policies and improve transparency in all budgetary processes.


Sen. Igbeke stated that with the removal of Subsidy, The Federal Government must diversify the Economy through investment in critical sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, information communication technology, and services that can create job opportunities, increase productivity, reduce dependency on oil revenues to stabilize prices and reduce inflationary pressures and further halt Nigeria's over reliance on oil exports which makes it vulnerable to fluctuations in oil prices.


He further advised the Federal Government to strengthen the new policy on floating of Nigeria's exchange rate system which in time past experienced volatility and thus contributed adversely to the rising inflation.


He maintained that effective exchange rate management policies will ensure monetary stability and prevent excessive depreciation of the national currency and help control import prices and mitigate inflationary pressures.


Senator Ubanesse urged the acting Governor of the central bank of Nigeria to implement tight monetary policy by increasing interest rates and reducing the money supply to curb inflation to be able to control the excess liquidity in the economy and reduce inflationary pressures.

In line with the Nigerian Mission's Bilateral Charter in the Republic of Burundi on promoting a healthy trading balance between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Burundi, he recently played host to the resident International Monetary Fund (IMF) Representative accredited to the Republic of Burundi, Samuel Delepierre.

The Head of the Nigerian Mission in Burundi, His Excellency Amb Elijah Onyeagba while receiving the diplomat at the Nigerian Embassy Bujumbura, informed the delegation of various enablers that the Mission has ensured to enable and encourage greater and more flexible citizen to citizen trading experience within Burundi and other neighbouring economies especially the East African communities.

He encouraged the IMF to help in developing policies which will engender greater monetary stability in the region.

Responding, Mr Samuel Delepierre promised that the organization will work closely with the Nigerian Mission in Burundi, the Burundian government and other stake holders in policy and economic decision making to achieve sustainable economic growth for the region.
