The Secretary, Special Duties APC Presidential Campaign Council, Alh. (Dr) A. A Mai Agogo and Hon. Kabiru Ishaq Sa'id Member, Grassroot engagement and Orientation, North West APC Presidential Campaign Council has revealed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Shettima's top priority is to ensure a decentralized government at the grassroot level to meet the yearnings and aspiration of the citizens.



Alh. Dr. Agogo stated that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has through his manifesto "Renewed Hope" laid bare his practical plans to rebalance the responsibilities and authorities of the different tiers of government as well as collaborate with the National Assembly and State Governments to re-enact Nigeria's governance architecture in such a manner that states and local government across Nigeria will be afforded the autonomy and resources needed to deliver democratic dividends to the grassroots.



Hon. Kabiru Ishaq Sa'id who is also the Director of Operations, I stand with Nigeria for Tinubu support group (ISWN4T) further explained that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima's administration when elected will ensure that critical items in the National Assembly exclusive legislative lists are transferred to concurrent list thereby empowering the states to enact laws over those sectors.



He further assured that Jagaban Nigeria having advocated for true Federalism over the years shall on assumption of office, through the instrument of legislation ensure that political congestion and competition for scarce resources at the federal level is reduced through a review of the federation revenue allocation and division of funds amongst the three tiers of Government to promote a grassroot government that will meet the yearnings of Nigerians at the local level.

“Yam is the king of crops, Yam is adored and celebrated in across cultures and ethnicity in Nigeria, It is believed that when you do not celebrate the harvest of yam in a year, that the next year’s harvest may not be fruitful,” he said.



Thus, it is very imperative as Nollywood has become the most important export of Nigeria as far as culture is concern.



“That is why every year, we gather here in the celebration of the yam as a symbol of unity for Nigeria and for the Igbo man.”


The annual event, which showcases Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, was organised by Onwurah Ifeanyi, former chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abuja chapter.


“This is a festival that Nollywood stakeholders put in place to always remind them of their roots and culture,” Ifeanyi said.


“We are using this festival to be a pointer to other African cultures. You can see people dress in Edo, Calabar, Yoruba, Hausa and other attire to attend. So that is the pointer.


"In the time past, we were forgetting our roots, but now we are trying to see what we can do every year to bring people back.


“Aside the celebration, we are awarding a lot of people. The award became necessary because, so many people has helped Nollywood and humanity.”


The Awardees expressed their gratitude to the Nigeria Movie Makers for honouring them with the distinguished Chieftaincy titles.

The President Road Transport Employers of Nigeria (RTEAN), Alhaji Musa Mohammed Maitakobi has declared his unflinching support to the presidential ambition of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Jagaban Nigeria) assuring that he will work tirelessly for the emergence of Asiwaju Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.



Alhaji Musa Mohammed Maitakobi gave this assurance at the National Headquarters of RTEAN when he received the Vice Chairman, APC Presidential Campaign Council and former APC female Presidential Primary Aspirant, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye in his office during a courtesy visit.

The Vice Chairman South East, APC Presidential Campaign Council and the Only Female APC Presidential Primary Election Aspirant, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye has called on Nigerians across the Six geopolitical zones to be prepared to become home owners on the emergence of His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima as the next President and Vice President of Nigeria in 2023.


She stated this in Abuja while speaking to newsmen in her office. she maintained that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a track record of performance when he held sway as the Executive Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.


She stated that the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu completed the once moribund Michael Otedola Low Income Housing. He completed the Lagos State Jubilee Housing Scheme which comprised of 1300 units of low-income housing designated as Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate. He built the Lekki Housing Scheme 1, named after the late Eleko of Lagos, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan. He also built the Mile 2 Housing Estate, Oko Oba low cost housing units, Oregun Estate, Ikeja, Femi Okunnu Housing Estate, Lekki concerted efforts were made to develop the proposed estates in Gbagada 1 and 2, Ibeshe, Ikeja 1 and 2, Oko Oba/Alaba and Ewu Elepe.
He further strengthened
the Lagos State mortgage system which provided room for more investors to make foray into the Lagos State real estate market. Asiwaju further made proposals for Teachers’ Village, Civil Servants’ Village and Judges Village during his time.



She further revealed that in his covenant and pact with Nigerians encapsulated in the policy document "Renewed Hope",. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very unambiguous that Mass Housing is vital to his administration’s goal of shelter for all Nigerians as reproduced in Asiwaju's following words "I will vigorously work towards bridging the housing gap by embarking on a mass housing strategy.


"As part of the mass housing strategy, my administration will collaborate with state governments, the building and construction industry, private sector investors, and banks to build and sell over 5 million new homes within the next four years.


"I will introduce a national mortgage system that will lend at single-digit interest rates to purchase these owner-occupied homes.A seed fund will support the National Mortgage System to ensure that new homeowners will enjoy single-digit interest rates for between 15-30 years when they purchase owner-occupied homes.

"The National Mortgage System will enable the building and
construction industry to absorb millions of young school leavers trained under the LTI scheme, creating millions of new jobs for young and skilled school leavers".

The Vice Chairman, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye has described the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a divine mandate ordained by God to succeed President Buhari and transform Nigeria.

She described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary leader, men builder whose impact, foundation and legacies as the governor of Lagos has continued to Sustain the state and the nation's social economic life.


She described the manifesto (Renewed Hope) of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which was unveiled at the inauguration ceremony as a beacon of hope to all Nigerians at this auspices of our national life.



She stated that Asiwaju Tinubu is prepared and ready to consolidate on the developmental strides of President Buhari in the last seven years upon assumption of office as the next president of Nigeria.



She assured Nigerians that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not disappoint the expectations of Nigerians as he is prepared to hit the ground running from the first day in office.

Uju Kennedy Ohanenye dismissed the speculation by the opposition that Nigeria will turn to an Islamic State under Asiwaju Tinubu, she stated that Asiwaju Tinubu is married to a Christian Pastor for 40 years and would not all of a sudden become anti christian and If that could be the case we would have seen the signs in Lagos when he held sway and as the governor and political mentor to past and present Lagos State Governors.

*OBEAGU IS UNDER ASSAULT; A CALL FOR SECURITY CONCERN AND IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION*


In the night of Thursday 13th October, 2022, Obeagu Community in Ishielu Local government of Ebonyi State, a peace loving and hospitable people of Igboesa clan (my own community) was assaulted by enemies of humanity and criminal elements; resulting to loss of life and others still in captivity of the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

2. This is coming barely a year after a horrendous attack on Igboesa clan and particularly at egedegede which led to a worrisome death toll and destruction of properties worth hundreds of millions of Naira. It was an attack which attracted both state and national concerns and had the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and federal government delegation paying a fact finding visit to the most affected area. It is heart-breaking to further note that those who were grievously affected by this attack are still counting their loses and mourning the untimely gruesome killing of their loved ones.

3. It is sad to know that there appears to be a protracted ugly trend of security breaches in and around Egedegede/Eha-Amufu road and its environs, resulting to a serious internal security concerns by locals and communities within the area. And this calls for joint efforts from all security operatives, national, state and various local authorities.

4. While vehemently condemning this unruly and despicable act, I also wish to commend in part, the efforts of the Nigerian police and the local government council chairman, and especially, the organized youth body and local vigilante group for a united front in curtailing this mishap.

5. I, further wish to call for more commensurate preventive efforts from all security agencies, stakeholders, relevant government and community leaders, to ensure an end to this constant ugly security trend.

6. To my peace loving and hospitable people of Obeagu, I wish to let you know that I am not ignorant of the growing despair, worries and enormous concerns over the security of your lives and properties during my engagement with you at both group and individual levels. But, be rest assured that I will stop at nothing in making sure that this kind of man made affliction will never repeat itself again. And God willing, through your usual support, our shared aspiration and journey to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly shall prevail and it will empower me with stronger and more compelling voice and delegated authority to provide more succour and social support services to the affected homes and families, and to ensure an effectual preventive measures that will see an end to the reoccurrence of this ugly incident.

7. Similarly, I wish to convey my deep sympathy and condolences to the entire Obeagu Community, Igboesa clan and Ishielu L.G.A, especially, the homes and families that were mostly affected by this gruesome killings and heinous crime.

*HON. VINCENT OFUMELU APPEALS TO MINISTER OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS, UN AGENCIES FOR ASSISTANCE.*

*The high performing and top notch Honourable Member, Representing Oyi and Ayamelum Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Barr. Vincent Ofumelu has made a passionate appeal to Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (FMHADMSD) to deploy relief materials such as clothing, diapers, bedding, sanitary materials, food items, amongst others to his federal Constituency which has been badly affected by flooding which has displaced over 9,240 persons in his federal Constituency while the access roads to their communities have been submerged by flood water.*



Hon. Ofumelu highlighted that Anambra State is one of the states that is badly affected by the flood which has submerged houses, farmlands, schools, health centres, Police Stations and Churches and other critical infrastructure.


He further commended the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for taking proactive measures which Include the identification of IDPs camps, recruitment of camp managers and support staff and activation of health workers to work with people in the camps.



He however, reiterated that the State government is overwhelmed with the challenges occasioned by the flooding and Hence, the need for the federal government to come to the aid of his constituents through the ministry of Humanity Affairs which has control over National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Refugee Commission.



He further appealed to Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), United Nations Agencies working in Nigeria to visit his federal Constituency and synergise with him to ameliorate the sufferings of his people occasioned by the flood.

Youth Advocates For Peace Justice and Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) A Human Right, Good Governance and SDG advocacy organization and Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement (EBAM) has called for the investigation, arrest and prosecution of Ebonyi State Government officials over the misappropriation of the 3 million dollars world Bank NG-CARES fund following the recent revelation by the office of the secretary to the government of the federation.

The group made the call with respect to the letter written and signed by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and addressed to Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi, titled "WORLD BANK MULLS SHUT DOWN OF OPERATIONS IN EBONYI" which revealed that World Bank Project Implementation Agencies planned to shut down "Ebonyi State Community Based Social Development Agency (EB-CSDA), FADAMA, NG-CARES and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).



*The letter further revealed that the World Bank NG-CARES $3 million (Three million dollars) Fund released to Ebonyi State Government since February 2020 for poverty alleviation and improvement of the lives of Ebonyians was delayed and misappropriated by officials of Ebonyi State Government entrusted with the responsibility of disbursing the funds.*


The contents of letter equally revealed that the *anomalies* in the management of the world Bank Fund is a smear on the image of Nigeria and could forestall the foreclosure of Nigeria from benefiting from World Bank Intervention.



Following the revelation made by the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice and Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) and Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement (EBAM) therefore calls on the Anti-graft agencies namely Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt practices Commission (ICPC) to wade in and launch an investigation, arrest and prosecute any government officials that is found culpable in the mismanagement of the fund.

According the commissioner, the parameter fencing will help to ward off the street traders along the onitsha old road which passes through the market so as to reduce the gridlock that has become a usual occurrence along the market area of the road.

Chief Ernest Ezeajughi, the Chief of Staff to Prof. Charles Soludo CFR gave the assurance when he received hundreds of protesters from Umuchukwu Community who stormed the Anambra State Government House in Awka to protest against the recalcitrant attitude of few miscreants from thier community who staged a protest against the Igwe elect of their town and over the change of the name of their town from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.



Speaking to newsmen in government House Awka, Comrade Adim Nchezo Chukwuemeka, The President General of Umuchukwu Town Union stated that Umuchukwu Community went through all known legal and judicial procedure under the government of Mr. Peter Obi who approved the change of the name of thier town and gazetted it. He further revealed that they have an appeal court judgement in thier favour which affirmed that the community went through the legal procedures before it's change of name.



The President General however bemoaned the action of same despicable elements from the community who vowed that the peaceful town will remain backward by writing petition against thier Traditional Ruler
Igwe Kenneth Maduka.



Corroborating the position of the President General of the Town, Chief Emma Ottah, A revered Stakeholder in Umuchukwu appealed to the State government to issue a certificate of recognition to thier Igwe elect Igwe Kenneth Maduka and ignore the nefarious activities of some mischief makers who vowed that thier town will remain without a government recognized Traditional Ruler.



Responding to the group which comprised on Elderly Men, Women and Youths, Hon. Ernest Ezeajughi, The Chief of Staff to the Governor commended them for thier conduct during thier peaceful protest, He assured them that the State government will take proactive action after considering thier documents which they presented to him, He however, encouraged them to support the efforts of the state government in promoting Peace, securing the lives of Ndi Anambra as the State government strives to make Anambra a liveable Homeland.

The Traditional Ruler of Anambra Non- Indigenes from the 35 States of Nigeria, HRH Igwe Amos O Nkwuda (Eze NDI OBIA) has called on all Non-indigine resident in Anambra State to support the visionary government of His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.


Igwe Nkwuda made the call when he received the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassador (Au- Ecosocc) Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu LLB, who came to officially inform him that he would taking a bride from Ifionu Family in Umuriam Obunese Village Nawfia, Anambra State.



The Highly elated Traditional Ruler congratulated Amb Timothy Nwachukwu who is also the National President of Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement (EBAM) and prayed for the success of his marital bliss assuring that He will lead his cabinet members to grace the occasion.


Igwe Nkwuda stated that Anambra State has been hospitable to Non-indigines who live and engage in legitimate means of livelihood in Anambra State.
