The Special Assistant to the President on Community engagement (office of the Vice President) Barr. Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu stated thus, "May 25th was earmarked by African Heads of States and governments as "African Liberation Day" to celebrate the independence of African countries from the colonial masters.


"However, In 2002 the Heads of State and Government of African countries replaced the OAU with the African Union (AU), and a vision of “an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena” was birthed.



"Today, 25th may is observed as a public holiday in twelve African countries namely Angola, Zambia, Ghana, Mali, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Chad, Comoros,
Equatorial Guinea, , Liberia and Mauritania.

The People of Owelle Ancient Kingdom in Anambra West local government Area of Anambra State has staged a protest over the removal of thier Traditional Ruler HRH Igwe Anthony Onyekwere by the former governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and the imposition of Mr Raymond Onoja as thier Traditional Ruler.


Speaking to Hon. Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, The Secretary to Anambra State Government, Chief Peter Udeora, the former president general of Owelle Ancient Kingdom stated that they were surprised and taken aback one morning when they heard over the news that one Raymond Onoja has been given certificate as thier new Traditional Ruler against the culture and custom of thier kingdom as their traditional Ruler Igwe Anthony Onyekwere was still alive.


He stated that the people of the community rejected Mr Raymond Onoja as he has not been to the community for over 15 years and not know to them.



They called on his Execllency Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to come to thier rescue by restoring the Certificate of Authority to HRH Igwe Anthony Onyekwere who has been thier Traditional Ruler for over 15 years.



They protesters who sang songs and chanted at the gate of Anambra State Government House called for the removal of Mr Raymond Onoja whom they described as an imposter.


Responding to the protesters, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu assured that the state government will look into thier demands to ensure that peace returns to thier community.

*THREE MISSING CHILDREN OF SAME PARENTS FOUND BY FCT POLICE AFTER A PROPHETIC PRAYER WITH MUMMY APO IN ABUJA*


The family of Mr Sunday Ani has been thrown into an unending joyful Celebration following the reuniting of thier 3 missing children after two weeks of their kidnap by an unknown woman.


*During the weekly Wednesday prophetic program at God's Divine Answers Ministry Apo Resettlement Abuja on 30thMarch 2022, The parents of the kidnapped children were called out by Prophetess Nkeiru Ihezuo (Mummy Apo) and she prophetically revealed that the children were kept in a secluded place alongside other children, she prayed and prophesied that the children will be found without any harm,*


The children were miraculous found by a patrol team of the Nigeria Police FCT Command on Monday 4th April 2022 after the woman who kidnapped them dropped them off saying that she had entered problem after kidnapping the children.

Meanwhile, Prophetess Nkeiru Ihezuo (Mummy Apo) led the ministry faithfuls to the family of Mr Ani to Celebrate with them.


*Below is an excerpt from an interview with Mr Ani, the father of the kidnapped children.*

Sunday Ani, the father of the three children who went missing from the Star Child Heritage Academy in Kabusa, Abuja, has narrated the experience of his kids in the hands of their abductors to the Press.


*According to Ani, the children said their kidnapper is a woman who lied to them that their parents had traveled and she was asked to pick them up.*


Ani said his eldest child, Marvelous, narrated what happened to the family.


*“She said when they closed from school, she was supposed to have a lesson but their teacher said there was no lesson.*


*And they boarded a motorcycle to go home and one woman stopped their motorcycle and told them their mother and father had travelled and the mother sent her to bring them.*


*“The woman told my children she will pay the commercial motorcyclists and instructed him on the route to follow.*

The motorcyclist carried both the lady and my children on the Okada to a neighbouring village called Gouduyi.

“My daughter said from there they entered Keke Napep and alighted at a place she could not describe.
She said they gave them food and bathed them in that place.”

Ani said the kids met many other children and a pastor at the house where they were kept.

Narrating how the children were mysteriously released, he said,

*“She (Marvelous) said the woman who took them to the place came on Sunday and told them that they should stand up and follow her that the problem is too much for her and she cannot continue to endure it and she is taking them home.*

*“My daughter said she put them inside a car and dropped them where they will get transport. My daughter said she wrote a note and put it in her pocket alongside N1,500.*

“In the note, she said the children are going to Kabusa. My daughter said she dropped them off and told them to wait for her that she was coming back, BUT never came back. “

It was while waiting for the lady that police saw the children and asked what they were doing on the road alone.

The kids, who did not understand what they had just escaped, told the police they were waiting for their aunty.

Upon further questioning, the police patrol team became suspicious and took the children to their station at Wuye.

They asked the children if they remembered the telephone numbers of their parents, but they couldn’t.

“They told me how they asked them if they knew my phone number. By then the children did not understand what was happening, Marvelous could not remember my number. In the morning, At around 4 am she walked straight to the officer to tell her she had remembered the number.

She called it for the officer, and by then she had regained herself. It was when she gave them the number they called me. I am very happy nothing happened to them. Dr. Tunji Asaolu, The Nigeria representative in the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council (AU- Ecosocc) and A member of the Africa Labour Migration Advisory Committee has called on the federal government to curb the growing proliferation of illegal arms in the hands of non state actors to end the insecurity crisis in Nigeria.



The Au- Ecosocc Nigeria's Representative made this call while speaking to newsmen at the Nigeria Headquarter of the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council in Abuja.



He identified Nigeria's porous border as the bane of small arms proliferation and inflow
into the country because of the numerous illegal routes existing at the surrounding borders of Nigeria.



He stated that the number of small arms in circulation in Nigeria, in the hands of civilian non-state actors is estimated at over 6,145,000, while the armed forces and law enforcement collectively account for 586,600 firearms, according to an intelligence report by SBM.


Dr. Tunji revealed that most of the illegal weapons in circulation in Nigeria were smuggled into the country from the neighbouring countries such as Chad, Niger, Benin and therefore warned that availability of arms in the hands of non state actors will continue to distorted the drive to cultivate peace, thus making it a mirage in the country.



He stated that Aspiration 4 of the AU- Ecosocc aimes at achieving a peaceful and secure Africa and therefore urged the Nigerian government at all levels to put mechanisms in place for peaceful prevention and resolution of conflicts as well as initiate a dialogue- centred conflict prevention and resolution that will ensure that illegal arms proliferation is brought to an abrupt end.




Dr. Tunji further called on the Federal government to initiate processes that will ensure that illegal arms are effectively controlled to reduce its
availability by mobbing arms in circulation as well as restore the confidence of the populace in Government through provision of good governance, justice, respect for law and order, human rights, equitable distribution of resources, provision of effective channels of communication and encourage its institutionalisation in the country.

The anniversary service which attracted the creme-de-la-creme parishioners from the length and breathe of Abuja witnessed a documentary of the inception of the church, a special prayer from Pastor Enoch Adeboye, The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and worship session with Chris Morgan, one of Nigeria's most Celebrated gospel Artiste.



Speaking on the topic "Keep Hoping In the Lord" Pastor Gbolade Okenla, read from Lamentations 3:22, He told the congregation that "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not".



He admonished the parishioners to keep believing in God, to keep following him and he will turn thier situation around for good. He assured the faithful parishioners that God has not abandoned his own and that though thier expectations may not have come to pass, assuredly, God will bring his word and promise to pass as he is too faithful to fail.


Pastor Gbolade recounted the faithfulness of God to the City of David Parish which began like a mustard seed but has grown to become one of the most influential Parishes in the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria.
