kamair237:Fear can never be in my dictionary... All I'm putting out there is that some people are above the law from his actions... |
[quote author=Elslim post=36272223]i never new buhariwas incharge of EFCC. Olodo oshi[/quote Back to sender! |
Abati failed woefully in reporting and presenting his boss to Nigerians in a good light... Let him rest in peace like his other counterparts... |
Buhari the brainless one has began to victimise everyone and anyone under the guise of fighting corruption... He has called in the following people for questioning and also seized their passports and has told them to report to DSS every week: Igoh Saromi Benny Peter's cousin/brother Owners of Sahara Oil etc. In all of this, he did not call Wale Tinubu of OandO for questioning nor did he seize their passports... We now have sacred cows in this administration... Is this how we hope to fight corruption or we are just paying lip service to it ![]() |
Makamuanwuo:How do you explain the wife watch of GBP34,500 (Thirty Four Thousand Five Hundred Pounds). As we speak, the exchange rate of Great British Pounds (GBP) to the Naira today is about N342.00. How do you explain it Cause that watch is as good as an asset and needs to be accounted for...We need him to declare his assets publicly. Nobody told him to commit himself but he did and said it when he was desperate to get the office. So now that he is there, we need him to let us know what is actually his worth. |
Please can someone update me on the N30 Billion corruption scandal which saw the suspension and sack of the ex-CBN governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi? The last I heard was that the case was at the Appeal Court. Sanusi wakes up each day pointing fingers at Dieziani forgetting that the other four are pointing right back at him. Why has he not gone to account for this at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC)? Instead he went to get an injunction from the court preventing FRC from carrying out investigations at CBN. I am definitely not a fan of Alison-Madueke who was the devil incarnate herself. The marine powers working in her ensured the downfall of the recent ex-President. So please understand that I do not like her at all and don't think I ever will. However, I detest when the pot calls the kettle black; with the allegations raised by Sanusi at the ex-minister when his case was on the front burner. When he raised the issue, she was called to NASS to state her case which she did but Sanusi has not done the same with regards to his own corruption mess... We need to know what happen to the N30Billion while he at the helm of affairs at the Apex Bank! Sanusi's case needs to be looked into and dealt with decisively. What ever is good for the goose should be good for the gander! |
Buhari had said that he would not interfere in the selection of the Senate President and Speaker of the House. How many days in office and he is already going back on his words ![]() Soon they will come out and explain that he was cajoled or asked to intervene since NASS could not arrive at a decision amicably. APC and their evil gimmicks! |
I remember during his campaigns Buhari had said that he would declare his assets publicly. Though most of his promises were bogus, I do not think the declaration of asset is too hard to keep. If he is finding it difficult declaring his assets thinking that the use of media to buy time will work for him, then he should think again! He should declare his assets pronto! It is a promise no matter how small it is and should be kept. |
You will definitely know what he meant when he said it! Because you were in his mind schwww... In fact you must have been the one who wrote that piece for him.... Nonsesne! Will you shut up there and give everyone the opportunity to air their minds. The point is that his speech writer got that from somewhere and should have given due credit to the author... period! cozy7: |
Femi Aribisala - always on point. Your write ups are well written and good to read. Your points are well articulated and progressive. Thanks a lot for this piece... I know this is just the beginning of the leopard unveiling his real self... |
I recall one of my earlier posts on this forum pre-elections and my instincts were on point exactly... Here were my thoughts then and they are beginning to hold true... I guess this Buhari administration will be the biggest Nollywood movie ever!!! Let's keep watching... Grab your copy now! lol!!! https://www.nairaland.com/2093069/apc-best-advertising-agency-ever#29785121 To say I am not impressed with how APC has packaged a military dictator, religious fanatic, an extra-judicial executor who should be wanted for crimes committed during his military dictatorship and one who incites violence as if he is like our Saviour Jesus Christ or Prophet Muhammed would be lying to myself. |
najoke:If you have nothing intelligent to say, please just pass the post than change the focus of the article. Dumb skull! |
Oh now, he enjoins all media houses to adhere to high professional standards; ehn... ?When their party (APC) was using the same media platform both offline and online to blackmail and spread propaganda about the outgoing administration no one remembered that the media house should be professional... All this is nonsense! There is freedom of speech and freedom of expression and since propaganda is considered a normal part of reporting, this administration will get its fair share... |
Its about time... South Africa will soon be a country referred to in past tense... |
What the North wants is for all resources and assets of the nation to be handled by the centre (Government). Regardless of whether the expertise is available or not. In developed nations such as Sweden, Norway, Russia, etc. All these resources and assets are privatized and managed by the private companies. Atiku, we should not forget owned and had stakes in PHCN hence he so dearly seeks the reversal... What a shame... I saw this coming... Its like we are rewinding the time to take us back to the '80s... Nations look for opportunities to bring about change by forging ahead and being futuristic in their approach, but for these so called politicians, they are looking at how to enrich themselves and take us back to the years before social media children were born...! I see a big problem here... What can we to salvage our dear country ? |
olatunji21:Lets not bring in sentiments here... There are diverse ways of addressing issues raised legally. But to ban a media station from his coverage, it means you want them to close shop... This is very undemocratic!!! Our outgoing President (President Jonathan) stood in the mist of all sorts of media storms and even made jokes of serious allegations and accusations but never for one day did he consider banning a media house... Let's face it, this is autocratic and dictatorial! |
Buhari has banned AIT from all his coverage.... As I ponder on this I am left without doubt that this administration will be brutal and highly vindictive. It will also thrive in impunity and dictatorship... With this background and understanding, I see a platform that will be a breeding ground for corruption in new dimensions and at very high levels. It won't be surprising if corruption becomes institutionalized such that it cannot be noticed and renamed... |
This man is setting a terrible precedence. Just because he is afraid of losing he has resorted to issuing death threats on people who are industrious irrespective of location... He has shown his stupidity and folly to the world now! As the bible says folly dwells in the bosom of fools. In this day and age where things are done through negotiations and lobbying, a man wakes up to threaten. He has rubbished his throne... Well that throne was that of a Duke not a king... He is meant to be addressed as Chief Akiolu... Silly and an uncouth man! |
wakacome:My dear Nlder, The guy's head is working fine? What else does what Buhari has said mean Th writer is only putting it in literal terms... Terms which drive home the point that Buhari will not deliver on his party's manifesto nor on his promises; spoken, written or spoken for in proxy...I think what you need to do is come to terms will what Buhari has said, think it through the possible way it can make sense to you and write out your interpretation as well instead of stabbing someone else's opinion and personality. Thanks. |
They voted wholeheartedly for President Jonathan, voted PDP for the 3 seats at Senate and voted PDP for the 13 seats at the Federal House of Representatives!!! I am overwhelmingly impressed!!! what a united front!!! Thank you so much for keeping the flag flying for PDP. Real sons and daughters of the Niger Delta! For there is indeed a Cause. |
Buhari is sick and dying... It is not today that this started but he hid it from Nigerians in his campaigns and never talked about it because they were desperate for POWER. With the kind of illness/disease he has, he needs to shy away from every form of stress and we know how demanding the office of the President is... Though it is God alone that knows all things, let's see how he will fare in his office... |
He must be joking... When I said prior to the elections that the promises these APC guys were making were empty promises, Nigerians were too blinded to see the lies... They were caught up in all the noise and propaganda. I remember the first speech made by Buhari at APC's Presidential flag off in Rivers - he said it will take time and patience... but everyone ignored his speech cause that's not what they wanted to hear... Today, the noise is down and you have no choice but to hear it! Let's see what Nigerians will do... You guys will all cry in due time. We miss you GEJ. |

There should be no such title as First Lady or mother of the nation. As part of the change that should happen in Nigeria and inline with the scrapping of the office of the First Lady, the title 'First Lady' should be scrapped as well. The wife of the President should be addressed as the Wife of the President not as first lady or mother of the nation... This is a democracy and we demand that this title be dropped!!! Though the title is used in other parts of the world, there are rules (written and unwritten) that govern the title and office occupied by the wife of the president. For now in Nigeria, we have not been able to properly define the scope of the title and the office and it has not been validated by any law or bye laws; thus, it should be scrapped! All these titles and positions give room for unwarranted spending and serves as a guise and channel for siphoning funds. This is our submission. |
Jega for me is not the man of the year. He is no man at all... Reasons being: The polls weren't free and fair Cards readers did not work The message on accrediting manually was sent out too late (when officials were already at the polling booths) INEC officials in the North got the message faster than those in the south Gov Willie Obiano was busy having a conversation on ChannelsTv on the card reader issues in his state while northeners were voting without it!!!We had ended voting in the 3 units around my area, finished counting, gone home and heard on Tv that accreditation could have been done without using card readers... He did not address the issue of children voting... There were just too many things wrong with this whole process run by Jega... If he loves the peace we are enjoying today, he should have truly created a fair playing field... Jega for me has failed woefully like Fashola and Amaechi... |
Was in a discussion with some women who live and work in Dodan Barracks in Obalende and was informed that the APC brought 1000 bags of rice for the women in the barracks in order to win their votes. However, the soldiers did not distribute the rice to the women as it was being done in other barracks nationwide but instead sent lower rank soldiers to buy up empty rice bags from the markets nearby. One of the ladies said the soldiers came to the shop of a woman where she was to buy empty rice bags and bought 88 bags from the lady. She said that was how the soldiers went round buying up all the empty bags in the market until they bought the quantity required within several days. Thereafter, she said the bags of rice brought by the APC were turned into these empty bags purchased from the market and were resold to the public. She said the woman leader for APC in the barracks then complained to the APC members that they never got the rice cause the army men sidelined them and sold it back to the public. The woman leader was then asked to come and carry 100 bags of rice from the APC reps which she did. Getting back to the barracks, she explained the situation to the barracks women and they agreed to share one or two bags of the APC rice per block from the 100 bags collected. When the army authorities (the officers who had sold 1000 bags earlier) heard this, they ordered for the arrest of the woman leader and her husband and then announced a ban on bringing bags of rice into the barracks saying that the army is non-partisan. But to their surprise, the GOC's child got married recently and who attended the wedding? the APC bigwigs entourage - having Babatubde Raji Fashola and all the other cronies of Tinubu in attendance. While prior to the date, 8 cows had been delivered to the GOC's house by various APC members... Just to keep you posted on who is corrupt and not just paying lip service to fighting corruption... Thank you. |
FastShipping:Well... you are quite wrong. The same youth are ready to vote him (GEJ) back cause of the various programmes being run for the same youth by different government agencies... Do a little research to find out about these... The same youth believe more in President GEJ than in the old hag being packaged and presented by the APC (GMB) - The one who first killed youths in the name of fighting corruption... He refused the same youth their rights and now wants to have a right to govern them in a democracy he never wanted the same youth of today to ever witness or experience... The same youth was left to go jobless in his dictatorship and left forlorn without guidance... The same youth he cannot apologise to today for shortchanging them when he had the opportunity to make the country better while the world was more sane and stable... the same youth today he calls for their support and uses them to carry out political violence just because of his insatiable thirst for blood and power... I will leave you to ponder on these for now... |
This isnt news or an example of exceptional character... Former governor - Peter Obi always displays decorum, good character, discipline and humility. I have met him at the Lagos airport and Asaba airport flying economy, waiting on the queue etc for a local flight... And so have others as well... So please what is the big deal here ![]() I would like to know what class GMB flew in seeing that he didnt have money to buy his form nor does he collect his complete allowance (not!). SMH!!! Story for the dead gods!!! Well meaning, reasonable, disciplined Nigerians do this everyday... so who the hell is he not to Even for Lagos, people dey queue for BRT!!!!Abeg talk better thing... |
That was part of his contribution to Buhari's medical check. Buhari should have been collecting his presidential allowance in full... That way, he wouldnt have had to depend on handouts from various sources including innocent Nigerians through his donate for GMB campaign gate. If he really knew that he would come back and like to contest, he should have collected the allowances and saved up... bearing in mind his medical needs... I just tire... This man is practicing open almajiri and we are taking it likely. Is this where he wants to take the country back to if he ever gains power God forbid!!! nor be me and am... anyway, he'll never get there...He has mortgaged everything to these miscreants and corrupt, debased men... |
APC has been lying forever!!! They've lied about living and non-living things and everything else in between!!! I'm glad people are seeing and will continue to see through them and not take their words as gospel truth. GMB was never scheduled to speak in the UK!!! Check out the event schedule at Chatham House! I have been thinking of how Dino Melaye who was one of the first to come up and talk about the uprightness and integrity of their candidate by citing his refusal to collect his whole presidential package... and this same Dino claims he went to the Ministry of finance to get this info... Who would ever answer someone like Dino who lost his honour in the house through very controversial and disturbing incidences. Who would believe a man who could not even stand up to take responsibility for getting another woman pregnant, instead he goes on soft tabloids to disown the pregnancy to the dismay of his wife and disrespect for his nuclear family. I wonder why the electorate would give their attention to such berated individuals in the society... I believe as the days go by, more revelations on the ills APC has done will continue to emerge and hit front pages of the tabloids and social media... More revelations emerge: http://www.theheraldng.com/breaking-buhari-flown-abroad-medical-check/ How desperate can these people be!!!!!!!

It would be quite unsettling to hold elections without the armed forces present as some Nigerians have lost all sense of decorum and grown so barbaric. Some Nigerians no longer have any form of scruples. They are not able to place their temperaments in check or act with civility while discussing passionate issues. How would you expect them to conduct themselves properly at the polling booths? The military is civil and know better than to oppress anyone. We have seen them carryout their duties at the polls in Ekiti and Osun maintaining the peace with respect for citizens. I think APC is looking for a chaotic atmosphere to execute some form of mischief that I cannot put my finger on at the moment. They won in Osun with the military on ground and the results and court judgements have been in their favour. They say they are progressives... wouldn't they want citizens to remain alive So why would they not want all our force men to be on ground to ensure this?Regardless of whether the army is constitutionally permitted or not I think they should be deployed for the elections... It is very important that the citizens who are the electorate are alive to be governed and not left to chance to survive or be alive. Looking at the current state of our Police and how unorganised and uncoordinated they could be, it is difficult for people to place their trust in them. Police men were at the booths in 2011 when terrible horrors took place at the booths in the north to both corpers and civilians alike. I hope our President will do what is right and allow the military to be at the polling units nationwide... Thank you. |
