Come through school- Nursing, start completing your prerequisites now and apply to nursing colleges for the Spring 2026 session. With an ADN or BSN in nursing science, employers can sponsor a green card application for you and your family in the US.

If you are currently in the H-1B visa pool, encourage your spouse to start nursing school, as community colleges are often more affordable. This is a reliable path to obtaining a green card in the US.

They replied that I met the prerequisites but I have to send my documents from my school and also the money involved is another thing.

Check with the admissions to know if your program requires GRE and with 4 yrs experience you are good to go! Your kids and spouse can visit and stay with you on F2 visa category. I hope this helps.

If you siblings is still in-status( in school I mean) ,it ll not affect your chances. Do not lie to the VO.

Good day all.
My sch is at Shreveport Louisiana, my flight is from Lagos to New York, New York to Atlanta, Atlanta to Dallas. Dallas is the closest Airport to Shreveport.
My question is ; at the US airport would I be ask why coming down to New York first instead of straight trip to Louisiana? And also my date of arrival is 3 days before my school resumption date. Hope there's no issue whatsoever?

Your agent should stop confusing you… you don not have any business going to New York…. Do not start what you can’t finish. Instead look for flights to Dallas,Arkansas,Houston or even Mississippi then use a connecting flight to Shreveport. See attached a better guide

I got info from an insider source that the US embassy is not releasing any closer interview dates again this year and they would also be denying 98% of expedited interview requests

So I advice y’all seeking for dates to defer your admissions or look at studying in another country !

Not all. Biochem students in Nigeria do not take Anatomy and Physiology and that's a prerequisite for BSN in the US. Sociology, developmental psychology as well are part of prerequisites

It also depends on when he got his Bachelors.. most schools has a limit for 5-8yrs less.

I remember advising you check with the school to know what pre-requisite to fulfill…I can not tell you what to do at the this stage bcz I do not know the courses you had in your bachelors n masters program. The program coordinator is in the best position to evaluate your transcript and advise on what you need to fulfill for admissions consideration. So you know, the pre-requisite are not free! A course cost over $600 so the lesser the better

Did you contact the school yet? Write the school's nursing coordinator, he/she ll advise you on the necessary pre-requisites to take for admissions consideration.

Yea, it’s a called a referral program. As a nurse you can refer other nurses to a hospital you have agreement with.. or you are working with..
