My application took 11weeks and 6days. If your application exceeds 7weeks, it will most likely be approved. Julietogelekac: |

Hello, My application is 12weeks old now. I applied from London but was refused after 2weeks. Reasons being my immigration status outside my country of origin and me having significant family ties in Canada - I don't have any family member in Canada though and I am legally resident in the UK. However, I reapplied and explained everything but I am yet to hear from them after 12weeks. Has anyone experienced this kinda delay? Eligibility not yet started on the tracker, GCMS notes requested for the ongoing application but it came back almost empty. GCMS notes for the refused application not out yet. |

Y'all should know that your collection mail will drop about a week to your planned travel date (as filled on the application form). Priority/Super Priority will only make decision faster. So if your planned travel date is still far away, just calm down. Miide2: 2 Likes |

Hello guys, Can any one assist with clarification on Tier 4 Sponsorship (Bank Statement). I have made 50% tuition payment and also have the required balance for both tuition and maintenance in my bank account. My question is that I'm a bit skeptical about the questions being asked at the Visa interview and I'm considering going through the parent-sponsorship route. However, all sponsorship letters I have seen always reference the Parents' accounts. P.S The money is in my bank account . |

My city, Ilmenau, issues between 12months and 24months. It is dependent on your course and the expiration date of your international passport. If you come for an academic preparatory course, you will get 12months, provided your international passport's validity is still within that range. Courses that last for 18months and 24months will get the respective Residence Permits' validity, still dependent on the expiration of your international passport. Also, someone told me that Bremen issues 30months, I do not know how true that is. Engrkia: 2 Likes |

For the second year, you will most likely be asked to provide proof of funds, but that will be when you're in Germany already. Blocked Account is for a year only, same with the scholarship you have already. However, depending on your city and course, you may be issued a Residence Permit valid for two years, some get less though. But mafo, you should be able to get a job that will avail you the necessary funds for the second year. I'm not too sure about this but you may likely not be asked questions at your interview since you have a scholarship from a German firm. But you may go ahead and prepare. Why Germany? Why the course? Countries bordering Germany along the four cardinal points. Politics, Economy and Geography of Germany. States in Germany. The other questions will be personal to you; your first degree, your BSc thesis and co. All the best! Ifwal: 5 Likes |

I feel your plight..but don't confuse yourself with the loss just yet. You saved the naira equivalent bearing in mind the euro exchange rate then. I'm sure you must have budgeted N400/€. So leave $ out when calculating the loss. passenger1984: The only way to stop a further loss is to buy euros asap, but then it may result in a more exasperating loss if naira later picks up. The ball is in your court. 1 Like |

Mapoka: No, he doesn't have the slightest point here. Besides, the guy/lady started with "...I have a new theory..." You really think the German authorities don't want Nigerians and thus have refused to give appointment dates? Don't they want to make money? Worst case, they give appointment dates, you go for your interview, pay visa fee and they reject your application. Shikena. At least, that is what happens at the US embassy/consulate. You'd even pay SEVIS fee sef. How would they vet the serious ones from the supposed unserious ones? Cos one finished BSc/B.Eng/B.A after 2018 with a 1st class or 2.1 and qualifies for Cat A, you think he's more serious and more qualified than someone with 1st class that finished in 2017? The problem at hand was caused by we Nigerians. The appointment booking process was changed and we decided to spam the booking. I guess they trusted Nigerians to be sane about the process. You even said Nigerians drop out and refuse to return home. That's funny. Whatever made them drop out was the sole reason they left Nigeria. May I ask if you'd like to return home even after you finish your studies? Please, y'all should stop the theories and postulations and hope for the best! It will be nice having more Nigerians here in Germany. 8 Likes |

Cuisance: If your visa comes with a work permit, you can work. If your visa doesn't come with it, you can get a temporary work permit from the authorities before your residence permit is ready. |

mexzony: Health insurance can be Mawista as well, if you're or over 30yrs old or you're in for an academic preparatory programme. As for the bank account, Post bank doesn't charge monthly fee but you gotta have your residence permit. N26 is also there for you. Another one is Tomorrow Bank, which is similar to N26. You can open both online, no monthly charges and free atm cards. 6 Likes |

Smaller cities are easier to live in as well..not everyone will gain admission in bigger cities. I guess you meant to write the plane did not TAKE OFF until after two hours of the slated departure time. Sorry about missing your flight, but it was not the airline's fault that you missed the flight. You probably didn't know where to go. There are many screens that display information about every flight. For those with long hours of layover at Istanbul airport, the airline provides two meal tickets, five hours apart. This is given to you at their stand in Istabul. So your welfare is taken care of, to an extent. You're free to sleep on any couch For anyone that may not know how to go about the connnecting flight, feel free to walk up to any Turkish airlines stand in Istanbul and ask questions. For those with long layover, information about your connecting flight may not be displayed on the screen until about 2 hours before departure. Your boarding gate comes up about 1hour before departure as well. Alternatively, locate 'International Connecting Flight'. There, your bags will be scanned and you'd have to go up via an escalator. I'm assuming you already have the whole BA money in your GTB dom account. If not, forget about anything being urgent. Go to Access bank.. GTB only allows you deposit €1000/week..so it will take you 11weeks to deposit the new BA..Hopefully before Christmas, you will be done with the deposits sugarmike: 1 Like |
