Tjayjosh: But many people do, in fact, call themselves atheists while simultaneously expressing outrage toward a God whose existence they deny. Still others reject the idea of God because they want Him to be easier to find. When well-known atheist Richard Dawkins was asked, “What would you say if you faced God after death?" he responded, “I would say to Him, Why did you take such great pains to conceal yourself?’” Some people frown at the fact that God is spirit, invisible, and found only through faith (Hebrews 11:6; Jeremiah 29:13). They adopt the attitude that the creator of the universe owes them evidence of His existence beyond what He has already lavishly given ( Psalm 19:1; 102:25; Romans 1:20). Jesus dealt with this mindset when He walked the earth. In Mark 8, Jesus had just fed four thousand people with a sack of lunch, but the intellectual elites came to Him demanding that He perform a sign to “prove” He was the messiah (verse11). Jesus illustrated this hardness of heart in His parable about the rich man in hell who longed to warn his brothers about what awaited them after death ( Luke 16:19– 31). From heaven, Abraham answered, "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even someone rises from the dead.” The most likely explanation for the continuing rise of atheism has not changed since the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:6; Romans 3:23). The very essence of all sin is self determination. By denying the existence of a Creator, atheists can do whatever they please without concern for future judgment or eternal consequences ( Matthew 12:36; Romans 14:12; 1 Peter 4:5; Hebrews 4:13). In the twenty-first cenury, self-worship has become culturally acceptable. Atheism appeals to a generation raised on evolutionary theory and moral relativism. John 3:19 says, “Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil." If human beings are self-created, self- determined, and self-centered, then there is no moral law or lawgiver to whom they must submit. There are no absolutes and no one to whom they are ultimately accountable. By adopting such mindset, atheists can focus on seeking pleasure in this life alone. As long as scientists, professors, and philosophers peddle their atheistic viewpoints as truth and wisdom, people will continue to buy it because the idea of self-determination appeals to our rebellious natures. The attitude is nothing new, but the changing cultural norms are making it more openly acceptable. Romans 1:18–31 details the results of this rejection of God's authority. Verse 28 says, "God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.” Our world is seeing the results of that depravity. What atheists call “enlightenment,” God calls foolishness. Verses 22–23 say, "Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.” Since the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” ( Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7; 9:10), then the denial (atheism) is the beginning of foolishness. you quoted dawkins wrong, dawkins first answered with "which god are you and why have u taken great pains to conceal youself" you are intellectually dishonest here |

mrnigeria: Thanks bro... Your support is appreciated.
Atheists, answer the simple question. Wetin God do you That your mind will not rest until you convince yourself He doesn't exist. You are not convinced and attacking those who believe is a way of convincing yourself... I'm cool with everyone, but we should learn to respect each other... i won't respect the belief of someone who say 1+1= 3, instead i will try to correct that person. If you call my correction disrespect then so be it. |

You might say u respect everyone's right but deep down u wish the muslims were christians. The sense of reasoning you expect from atheist is a strawman you have created by your own hands |

mrnigeria: It is no news that every article written by the average atheist is designed to attack the judeo-christian God. I read an article earlier today about a transgender who took the word of God out of context and twisted it to suit his end. I'll tell you what I discovered from the twisted article.
DENIAL: For you to call God a monster, it means you admit He exists. For you to say you would rather burn in hell means you have considered the possibility of hell's existence.
ANGER: The subcutaneous anger, a subliminal reason for the transgender to write such a misguided article. Maybe society was harsh to him. It doesn't mean God does not exist.
THE GAMBLE: It is a choice. A life of holiness, or a life of poor self restraint. If hell doesn't exist. Well, you gambled. If it does, you will have a eternal supply of suya from your own body.
Finally, I've seen God. He's everywhere. You have freedom to say He doesn't exist. I have a conviction that He does. I am not going to force you to share my belief, but you also have to respect my belief.
It is a shame that the minority who are asking for respect and equality do not understand what it means at all... You atheists are free to attack me, it just shows your anger and confusion. God is alive. Long after you are dead, He will be. Respect that. if you rem why you attack muslims on nl you will understand why we attack you |

lexiconkabir: i have given this answer before, when a city loses a battle, the people that were well-to-do would have lost their money and properties, which means they will need masters to give them sustenance, hence they become slaves, now if a woman is among those that needed sustenance, and paraventure she falls among the women that went to prophet muhammad(s.a.w), now tell me, whats wrong in that? for him to have agreed to give them sustenance, is that wrong? you are just filled with hate, thats all! so you see my friend, your point is daft!! you saying am filled with hate is ad hominem, when you call en-slaving people: "giving them sustenance " then it show more about what you religion and prophet teaches. |

A Professor of Philosophy in Ekiti
State University, Professor Zacchaeus
Ogundare has submitted that the
Evolution theory of man which
claims that life emerged from the
physio-chemical reactions in
inorganic matters could be in-
consequential after all since new
studies revealed that evolution
could not bridge the gap of the huge
leap between chance explanation
and possibility.
The University Don, delivering the
42nd lecture of Ekiti State University,
explained further that evolution
which supports spontaneous
generation of life from non-living
matter could not explain, for
example, the origin of the genetic
code which poses a massive chicken-
and-egg problem, relative to
proteins and
Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA).
According to him, intelligent source
of life, such as egg and chicken
alongside other postures included in
the origin of the amazing
photosynthesis, the order in the
Milky Way galaxy with its billions of
stars and the natural laws that
govern the universe could not favour
evolution.
In the lecture titled: ‘’ORIGIN AND
EXISTENCE: THE INCONSEQUENTIAL
CONCLUSION, Professor Zacchaeus
Ogundare also posited more counter
arguments to the Darwin’s
evolutionism stating that it would
amount to
an un-examined conclusion about
origin and existence if we agree
without probing that ‘’LIFE IS BY
CHANCE’’ adding that the whole
episode was beyond evolution
considering the evidences from the
Genetic Code Argument, the amazing
photosynthesis, the Complex
Awesome Universe and our Unique
Planet and the Natural law
Argument.
Professor Ogundare submitted that
the universe was replete with
superb organization that staggers
imagination and could therefore be
appropriate to conclude that superb
organization requires a superb
organiser; and intelligent designer
“who must be God”.
Professor Ogundare further
acknowledged the argument of
some philosophers like Leibniz
Theodicy, St. Aquinas and St.
Augustineth of Hippo who favoured
the existence of a God as the author
of the
universe.
The gathering was attended by
intellectuals, from across the
country, the EKSU community led by
the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Oladipo
Aina during his presentation of
Professor Z.B. Ogundare to the
audience
described him as a hardworking,
focused and highly cerebral
intellectual who had devoted
immense energy into research of
epistemology and philosophy of
science. |

true2god: ACT 11:26; '...and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch'.
They (chritians) met in a church (not mosque) and were first called christians (not muslims) in Antioch. Christians are mere followers of christ hence they gave them the name christians. If you follow the teachings of christ (as the son of God) you are a christian and if you follow the evil teachings of mohammed (as a slave of allahh), then you identify yourself as a muslim. mohammedian |
