the odu plan has been flawless and blazing this past few months on my end.

My x25pro CPU temperature keeps crossing about 70° and disconnecting it's network.

I'll have a to do a factory reset to get it working again whenever it happens. It has happened twice in a month now.

I guess you place it in a warm environment.....am yet to experience this

It is not the base station managing that there are specific bands for uploads and downloads some bands can't handle upload bandwidth and traffic hence they're purely left for downloading that's why you will notice a particular band giving poor upload speeds but better download speeds and vice verse this is due to bandwidth stream and on the G5FA the Modem S1 5g chip is spec'd for 2CC aggregation of upto 200MHz and download aggregation of 1CC of upto 100MHz this is way lower than others like ZTE G5F 5CC UP/3CC Down, ZLT X17m & x17u 4CC UP/2Cc Down with mediatek T750 chip then Huawei With 4CC UP/2CC Down

It's like the mediatek T750 is widely used in many 5g router. Most likely present in zlt x25pro.

Where would you get network from in this your arrangement chief? The IDUs have no Sim ports nor do they support esim. Without the ZTE ODU connecting to the PoE UPS, how would you be able to get internet access?

The ZTE ODU connects to the POE powerbank as usual; instead of the ZTE idu, you now connect the Huawei IDU the same way you would v connected the zte IDU to the POE powerbank. I tried it this morning, and it worked flawlessly.

No extra step required, just same connection. The ZTE ODU give the Internet access, while the Huawei IDU supplies the home Wi-Fi. That's what am using currently

If you can get only the Huawei idu without the odu you would be fine, just connect it to your zte idu with an Ethernet cable then you can also enjoy the full features of the Huawei idu without the Huawei odu.

You can even connect directly from the powerbank terminals using the battery cord and LAN cable to the Huawei IDU instead of the ZTE. It works seamlessly

I did the physical sim swap recently, tried on day 1 nothing. Now trying a 2nd time same thing. Not even 1kb

Go inside the setting, under Internet Function, go to sim function.....set the settings as External SIM card

I have finally dumped that Airtel ZLT X25 (Base) 5G Router and joined your league.

Airtel ZTE G5FA+MF296A ODU just got installed this evening.

All of them are good.....I have the G5F and I used it for a while but currently am using the zlt x25 pro because of its mobility and also ease of use based on settings. I do see more Airtel Network PCIs on it compared to all the ODUs I have. The only ODU that came close is the Huawei ODU. Interms of raw speed, the ODUs are slightly faster than the x25pro.

I have had minimal network downtime on the x25pro compared to the ODUs. Its a reliable router mosttimes. I saw 5g Airtel network on my zlt x25pro at work, but am yet to see same 5g on my zlt ODU during the time I took it to work.

For now and for me, the x25pro ticks better, hopefully that will change when I fully have 5g Airtel network at home. I feel they(ODUs) will be stronger when 5g finally shows up.

The Airtel Network at my workplace is terrible. And If I can see a cheap x25pro at less than 40k, am keen to buy. I will keep one at home, the other will be a regular companion at work

The WAN mode, which would have allowed me select wired connection to use the router as IDU, is stuck at 'Mobile Network Mode'.

Maybe this will be active after tweaking?

For the above, the router is not working as IDU for now. Even if it works, I would still prefer continuing with ZTE MC801A as IDU because that one has better WIFI management menu, with guest wifi to boot.

Anyway, until I tweak it, that's ZLT X25 pro, ladies and gentlemen

No. They sold X25 first, then phased it out and started selling X25 pro.

Now they are not selling X25 but X25 Max 2, which I believe should be better than the previous versions.

X25 pro can be gotten from fairly used markets on social media like Facebook. One just has to trade carefully and through the right channels.

Some people have WhatsApp groups where folks sell pre-owned items for various reasons and at various prices. Some of the sellers have no knowledge of the intrinsic values of the items they are selling while others overrate the items they are selling.

I think x25pro should be amongst the first version that Airtel released when they unveiled their 5g unlimited plans around 2023. I got mine then. Since then, they've released many other versions

if you got super admin then you can change imei

What do you mean by backdoor MTN sub? Is it their unlimited bundle?
Try root as username, and
admin as password. Hopefully you should be able to access the superadmin features
