Durability time will tell, they have 3 years warranty and support is available from the factory, as well as local support.
We managed to set up communication between the 6.2KW inverter and the 5KWH.
The Inverter can now read the correct SOC from the batteries.
Do you know how I can get the wifi module

I have an upcoming video to explain all these!
too many discoveries, Videos shot no time to edit yet.
Am waiting for your video.....am interested in knowing their reasons for such. Does it applies to all Chinese inverters or the more established known chinese manufacturers are exempted

If you are buying directly, you can always ask for the power factor.
The inverter was rated in KW not KVA.....the power factor must have been factored in.

I don't know why Chinese love to lie about specs.

If 3484w is 62% of this Sako 6.2kw Inverter, it therefore means that the Total capacity of the inverter is (3484w * 100% / 62 = 5.62) 5.62kw and not 6.2k as claimed.

Thank goodness am not expecting to load it more than 82% (4.6kw) of it total real capacity.

Nice setup though.
Noticed that too.....my 10.2kw inverter has an actual load capacity of roughly 8.2kw.

800w from a 6600w array is diabolical. You should be getting 5000w+ at peak irradiance.
Yes He should

Good evening, a JJC here. I just installed a new system which has a 15kwh Felicity lithium battery, 10kva Felicity inverter, 120amps Felicity MPPT charge controller with 12 550watts Canadian Cells Solar panels (the engineer connected them in 3 series of 4 panels). However, the PV numbers I am getting doesn't add up (maximum of 700-800 at peak sunlight) and i can confirm this because it takes an average of 3-4 bright days (without using the system at all) to fully charge the battery. I have an old system with 12 300 watts panels and more than 2kw PV at peak sunlight from that one. I have called the engineer and explained this to him but he hasnt said anything meaningful. Please, are these numbers normal all theres obviously something wrong with his connection? Below is a screenshot of the MPPT readings around past 4pm on a bright sunny day.
Is that a charge controller or is that the interface of your inverter displaying battery voltage, pv generation?. Be certain if your panels are connected to your inverter or a standalone Charge controller. Then check for the peak generation around 12pm to 2pm with a clear sky. Incase your batteries are full, put a brief load of about 4kw and see if you get close to 4kw or more instantaneous yield. If not, then you need your installer to run a check on your system.

RickyM:
No MPPT has a 100% conversion rate, what charges a battery is current not high voltage so even though MPPT are meant to convert the excess voltage to current it’s not a 1:1 thing as there is nothing like a perfect system.
Compare this, the first pix is high voc mppt inverter, the lower one is low voc mppt inverter. Same panels, the low voc mppt inverter was upgraded to the newer high voc inverter. Under similar conditions, the newer one generate more solar power, runs cooler and more efficient. The newer one has its own disadvantage, but as regards solar generation it's better than the low voc inverter

I get that the charge controller is a problem. But is the battery that bad that it needs change too?
No.... You just need an efficient system to charge your battery. Increase your panels or change your charge controller to mppt , better still you can do both.

Pls is there anyone here who has installed a welion 6.2kw with any lithium battery before, i am having serious challenge establishing the connection between it and my firman 10.2 kw lithium battery.....it has a bms port but whenever i connecting the bms cable that comes with the inverter, it doesnt activate
Navigate to setting 5.....there are some battery protocols listed including Lib(I assume it's lithium). Select Lib and see if it activates.

Sellers are different and I don't want issues with him. I have tried to call him but he isn't picking so, I'm guessing he is busy. The labeling is totally different from that of 4.2kva and even the serial number on the receipt is different from the carton.
If it's 4.2kva as alleged, the surge should be 2x which is 8400va not 6400va as written on the box specifications

Sorry, I might be wrong. Why only victron, why not other inverters. The dividing line between premium inverters and regular ones has been blurred by technology Overtime. No load consumption, efficiency they are gradually catching up to the tier 1 inverters. I don't see any reason in buying a used inverter at that price over the regular ones in the market.

Aren't transformer based inverters better?
It's debatable......I will pick a premium transformerless inverter anytime, anyday over transformer based inverter. Efficiency is key.

Actually, I don't think they are because i monitored it my self.. And according to the low and high volt I wrote above, that exactly what in the manual book as well... Was kind of expecting bulk charge at 29v or 28.+ but on the inverter and manual as well it is written 27v and 21.8 as low.. Reason why I said they don't use pass what is explained is, this ppl na my inlaw, Dr follow instructions like say his life depends on it... If you tell him not to on it all day self, he won't ask why since it your field, he will off it that him for you.. Now back to the problem, do you think the inverter could be affecting the batteries? Could it be that pumping machine affecting them..? Kindly not, the pump was only tested on the previous battery not run on them and them just went bad before this new ones.. Now this again..

My setup once again make una help me use Oju a gba wo abeg..(experience eye look am)
585w brand new jinko PV all connected in series x3
Welion 4.2kw hybrid invert with 120a cc
Then two 220ah tubular batteries.

Load.. Pumping machine 1HP
Inverter fridge/freezer.. At high 280w and when it start running it comes down to 80w at low.
Tv 32"led which is around 35w or there abt
Decoder.. Around 15w
Then DC bulb 5w btw 5 and 10pecs sah not sure..

Kindly note pump is used only when the intensity of the sun is high and na like 3 or 4 days interval. (they once share with me the clip when they on the pump, the PV took it up.. And the battery never left the bulk state. Pump was taking around 700w+ and the PV was bring down 900w+ and once the water is full and turned off the PV will come down to just 100w above what ever it is been drown from the inverter. It doesn't event touch the battery at all..

Tv.. This only comes up during the weekend..

Refrigerator is the only appliance that run on it from 8am to 5pm now i tell them to off by 3 since this issue came up.. Kindly note that even as at that 5pm they off it, the battery stage doesn't leave bulk state always full...

With all the listed above, what the way forward.. Contacted the battery seller alaye turned me for one side.. And this Instllation was done in May last mth..

Kindly note... I Hv customers that they run two 12v 220ah tubular with 24v system on pump for year with no issue.. So i don't belive that the issue pls.. One even use it along with his old fridge in his drug store.. But i always advise them to do so hen the sun is high.

Make una help me with solutions pls.. Should i take batteries to professional battery chargers for check up? What could be the cause of all this.. Pls i need solution bosses abeg 🙏 🙏 🙏 keep on seeing messages and WhatsApp calls from him asking for way forward always cut my mind 😔 😔 will be in the comment section. Thanks all.. One love
Eeyah, sorry for the stress bro. Had same issue in 2020 when I newly got introduced to the world of renewable energy. My batteries Couldn't hold charge for long, will run down very fast, and they are all new. I Called the installer, but he couldn't profer a solution. Luckily I discovered this forum.
To cut the story short, my Bluegate inverter was the culprit. Couldn't charge my batteries as per manufacturers prescribed setting. To recover the batteries, Had to trickle charge the batteries for days(I used less than 5amps, mostly 1amp charging) without using them. And eventually, they recovered. Tubular batteries, especially those that have been in the sellers shelf for a long time before being sold requires equalization or desulfation before use. The internal resistance would have increased Overtime and won't be able to accept charge as it should.
My batteries are now in it's fifth year running strong.

Trickle charge them with the Charging voltage set to around 30v. Lets hope they recover. If they are new, they should recover.
I am not an Authority in this, am only speaking based on my experience

Can you explain further please,my friend currently has two batteries he bought second hand that are weak.

Can I DM?
Sorry, am not an engineer. I don't know how to explain this. Depending on how old your battery is , a partially weak tubular battery can be restored through a good charging system.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Peterlove11: 9:02am On Jun 18, 2024
mctfopt:
The battery could've been used for 2 years, or even if it's one year, the user may have abused it so much that capacity is heavily reduced. Also Mercury battery ain't top tier in lead acid battery league. These factors combined points to one thing, battery is now weak and recommended replaced. I'll suggest you return it and get a new battery. Consider a small lifepo4 battery, if budget will allow it. If the budget won't, go for the new lead acid battery. Cheers.
Weak Tubular battery can be revived.....He needs a good battery charger to do that. Good hybrid inverters with high charging ampere can do that. Change or top the water and charge like you want to desulphate, it should work. But If he can return it, add more money and get a LiPO4 battery, its better in the long run

Then he will need to increase his solar array to fully charge the battery
I think what mostly determines pv array needed is your daily energy consumption......I don't see someone needing more than 6kw pv panels if your average daily energy consumption is 10kwh. Even 4.5kw pv is ok. I might be wrong

Based on his existing set up plus coming from 4 tubular batteries. A 5 to 10kwh battery sud suffice for him since he wasn't complaining of his previous battery setup.
If he has the money to spare, let him go for the jugular.......Lol

When you factor in shipping, Fouani will always be cheaper.

Gennex quoted me 75k for shipping of Jinko panels, I bought same panels from Fouani with free shipping.
Same here, bought jinko panels from Foauni and had it delivered at my address free of charge. Oftentimes their jinko prices are even cheaper than other suppliers and yet they are still able to ship free of charge. Can't find a better bargain than that

I realized it has two wifi output. One for 2.4ghz and 5ghz connection. I switched off the 5ghz connection but didn't notice much difference in battery drain. Is there any way to improve battery life?
Mine is a 5g router that came with a Powerbank. Its most times connected to a wall socket. Yours seem different. Don't know how I can help as regards the battery life

The problem is the efficiency ~around 85%. Bulk of the energy generated will be consumed by inverter or lost during during conversion. Its good for large battery/pv system to augment the losses
