FoodRe: Golden Morn Unsuitable For Children Under 3 Years by Peterwins(op): 10:04pm On Oct 13, 2012
Coldfeet: Nobody is saying Gmorn is bad its just not adviceable to feed it to babies!! Just like you'll find on most pasturized milk the warning that says LIKE COWS MILK THIS PRODUCT HAS NOT BEEN MORDIFIED FOR INFANT FEEDING!!! And still people give them to their babies, also the warning on tobacco yet there many 80yr old smokers around! Feed your babies gmorn if you like but know this if something goes wrong with your baby as a result of gmorn feeding Nestle already got their defence! THEY PLACED A WARNING!!!!!! GOLDEN MORN IS NOT AN INFANT CEREAL (incase you don't know the defination of infant google is dia) NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN BELOW 3 years of age. There is a good reason why the health ministry made sure that warning is placed on the pack.
Thanks for this response. Its difficult to help ignorant and stubborn people. Nestle has placed a "disclaimer" on this product. Why would any responsible parent knowingly feed their under 3 year old children with this cereal even after such a discovery/information. I got this info verbally. Went to a supermarket to confirm the authenticity of the info. Posted it on the internet (Nairaland Forum) to help those that have been using this product wrongly and yet some people (even parents ) still complain. Ignorance is no longer an excuse after you have been informed about this issue. Good night everyone.

Nimi22: @op i tried checking the info but i cant see where it is written. Pls can you help me with that?
It's written at the back of the pack (for the small packs which I checked at a supermarket - Garki Supermarket Abuja) in white. They (Nestle) also specifically stated that Golden Morn IS NOT AN INFANT CEREAL. I will research (if I have the time) the negative effects of feeding children under 3 years with it. However parents should always be careful with what they feed their kids with. Check expiry dates, nutritional values, etc. I guess this should be on the front page to alert parents with kids under 3 years. Please spread the word and check your pack again. This isn't a rumour but a fact the manufacturers clearly stated. Thanks.

For parents with children under 3 years kindly reach for a pack of Golden Morn and confirm this info. If you do not have a pack within reach, kindly get to the nearest store or supermarket and check the age restriction. I find it hard to believe that such a sensitive info is not boldly written to alert unsuspecting parents.

She has a powerful combination. Brain, beauty and wealth. Also a loving husband and son. What more can a woman at her age ask of.
Indeed she is blessed. A worthy role model to young girls and women all over the world.
PoliticsRe: Introduction Of N5,000 Note: Nigerians Are Wasting Their Time – Sanusi Lamido by Peterwins(m): 11:11am On Sep 17, 2012
The president should act wise by directing the CBN to leave the lower denominations ( 5, 10 & 20 ) as notes while the 5,000 could still be printed. It provides a win win decision / situation for all users of the nation's currency. The fact about Nigeria's economy is that it is dictated by the price of crude oil. Sound monetary and fiscal policies don't really work in a distorted mono-economy like Nigeria. GEJ please do not allow the CBN to coin the 5, 10 & 20 naira notes - it goes a long way in helping Nigerians at the lowest rung of the economic ladder.
PoliticsRe: 5000 Naira Notes: The Solution To Our Problems? by Peterwins(m): 7:49pm On Aug 24, 2012
The yet to be N5000 note is just another red flag about the real state of the Nigeria economy - on life support. The next CBN Governor after SLS will probably introduce N2000 and N10,000 notes before his own tenure ends in 2019 (if we still have a country called Nigeria by then). If you re-denominate upwards or downwards without executing sound fiscal policies then you are just playing to the gallery. A loss to Nigeria but a gain to the currency printers.
Science/TechnologyRe: NASA Spacecraft "Curiosity" Lands On Mars. Returns Photos Of Martian Landscape. by Peterwins(m): 5:28pm On Aug 06, 2012
CONGRATS to NASA. A big step in space exploration. In fact if NASA had shares for sale I would have purchased some. Perhaps I should find a way of purchasing some SPACEX shares even before they go public. The benefits of space exploration are so many...... GPRS, GSM, Medical research, weather forecasts, etc.
For me, this achievement by NASA inspires me to purse my dreams until I achieve each one.

Do people realise what this phrase means, "...just Google it...". In fact Google's vision and activities are beyond the internet. I am talking/typing too much...., just Google it.
TravelRe: Dana Crash: Relatives To Receive N16m Per Victim (Insurance) by Peterwins(m): 1:45pm On Jun 05, 2012
Tragic and avoidable air disaster!!! My heartfelt condolences to all friends and families of the departed souls. May GOD comfort you all. If it is true (haven't researched it yet) that most airplane crashes during the weekend in Nigeria, then it will be a good start for the investigators to find out if there are less stringent regulations such as proper checks, personnel adequacy, etc during the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in Nigeria. It is also important for the government at this moment to monitor DANA AIR covertly in case they try to hide any skeletons in their cupboard. Unusual movements of their assets could trigger a red flag for any discerning government especially if it will be prejudicial to freeze their assets for now. For DANA AIR employees it might be the time to start seeking employment else where as this may just be the end of the road for DANA AIR.
PoliticsRe: Lagos State Recalls All Sacked Doctors by Peterwins(m): 1:00pm On Jun 01, 2012
I am really disappointed with the government of Lagos State led by Fashola a SAN!!!. You cannot handle labour issues with medical doctors as if you were in a courtroom or perhaps negotiating with touts. Sacking doctors as if you were sacking bank workers in former intercontinental bank and oceanic bank. I am not a medical doctor but I hold their profession in high esteem. Their profession and industry do not deserve unnecessary contentions such as these. You can take their job from them but you cannot take their highly sought out profession from them. Only a lazy or quack doctor will feel threatened by a sack by any employer.
HealthRe: Why Sacked Doctors May Not Be Recalled - Fashola by Peterwins(m): 10:11pm On May 24, 2012
Quite sad! However what do you expect from a Governor that have won a second and final term in office. Imagine if he was seeking re-election (second term), he would have acted differently.

BusinessRe: Nigeria's Economic And Financial Future Within The Next Ten Years by Peterwins(op): 1:25pm On Aug 09, 2011
As a result of the foregoing I believe the exchange rate of the Naira against the USD will get to about =N=200 by 2014 and crude oil price might hover around USD 50 per barrel without any major war or conflict in the middle east. Hence, the country might turn to the IMF / World Bank to finance her deficit budget by that time.
BusinessNigeria's Economic And Financial Future Within The Next Ten Years by Peterwins(op): 1:12pm On Aug 09, 2011
With the current economic and financial challenges facing Nigeria as a country, I believe the following will take place (some already taking place) in Nigeria within the next ten years:
1. Continuous weak Naira against major foreign currencies.
2. IMF / World Bank Bailout.
3. Redenomination of the Naira inevitable.
4. Continuous Two-Digit inflation.
5. Downsizing / Rightsizing of the Federal and State Civil Service.

With the past and current mismanagement of our oil and gas resources amidst high crude oil prices, our economy remains very precarious to the impending drop in crude oil prices as a result of the following:
1. Increase in the use of renewable energy resources.
2. Discovery of new oil fields in international waters juxtaposed against decrease in world oil recoverable oil reserves.
3. Global slow pace of economic recovery.

Please kindly state your own forecast for Nigeria's economic and financial future within the next ten (10) years.

What do you expect from a CBN Governor with a M.sc. Sharia & Islamic Studies ( Int'l University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan) . Yar Adua hired a financial terrorist to Head our apex bank. How do you expect a terrorist to solve problems. The rest is history. I pray none of you should have an argument ( on religion, culture, finance, politics, etc) with a terrorist. All arguments should cease. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
Business To BusinessRe: Do You Need A Large Sms Data Base For Your Sms Biz by Peterwins(m): 10:41am On Jul 05, 2010
Got your price list. Price a bit too high but I guess they are still negotiable. Please I hope the data are current and genuine, because I have a way to authenticate the data. In which format do the data base come.
PoliticsRe: Is Goodluck Jonathan A Megalomaniac: Bans Super Eagles For 2 Years! by Peterwins(m): 3:43pm On Jul 01, 2010
There is always a better way at solving problems. Why create a problem while trying to solve one.
For example, when former FCT minister, Ailero created speed bumps at major roads in Abuja there was public support and opposition at the creation of the bumps for various reasons depending on "THE REASON OF THOUGHT". The need for bumps to reduce accident was a major reason for support while the damage to the shock absorbers of vehicles and possible cause of miscarriage to women with fragile wombs were reasons for the opposition to the bumps.
The new minister of the FCT, Bala has started (hope he continues) to replace some of the "annoying Ailero speed breakers/bumps with better bumps that performs the same functions as the old ones. These new bumps don't have negative impact on shock absorbers neither do they cause possible miscarriage to women with fragile wombs.
My Point: BAN NOT NECESSARY. IF YOU SUPPORT BAN THEN OTHER SPORTS, HEALTHCARE, ELECTRICITY( what Mr President refered to as power with his interview with Amampour of CNN) EDUCATION, ETC MUST ALSO BE BANNED.
BETTER DECISIONS CREATE BETTER SOLUTIONS NOT CREATING ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS. GOD SAVE AND BLESS NIGERIA. AMEN

I am interested in purchasing mined data ( i.e phone numbers of all major networks) of any particular State in Nigeria. Buying and Selling of GENUINE data is cool business. So if anyone has information on this, please let us know. Right now, I am interested in buying.

BusinessCost Of Mined Data (phone Numbers Only) For Any State In Nigeria. by Peterwins(op): 4:24pm On Jun 29, 2010
How much does it cost to obtain geniune data (phone numbers only) of residents of any State in Nigeria. For example, If I want to send bulk sms to the phone numbers/users ( mtn, glo, zain, etisalat networks) currently resident in Jigawa State. I currently use a sms website for business, all I need is the mined data (phone numbers only) of residents of any particular State in Nigeria. Is this data available and how much does it cost. I am willing to buy if I can get genuine data. Please note that these mined data(phone numbers) are not static because people move, relocate, dump their numbers, etc.
