Daddy freeze should rest abeg, he has made his point, everyone has heard him, he should let people exercise their right to accept his teaching or not. He is now becoming irritating. Imagine!! You were invited to talk on how social media influences your work and you deviated to make it all about tithes again!! What kind of unhealthy obsession with tithes is that?
it appears to me it was actually toyin who brought in the issue of tithing before he responded.

The stories of battery, infidelity, lack of care that has characterized the marriages of our so called celebrity after all the public show of picture perfect marriages.
That has made me to realise that majority of them live false lives to impress their fans.

They present themselves like everything is so ok until something happens then you see the emptiness in them. So I don't fall for all their gimmicks.
This picture now is it intended to make us believe she holidays with her family during summer or to show us that she is cute or that she has grown kids or just to remain relevant.
Some news are not just FTC worthy though.

Its an insult to bring these guys in after 8 or 9 videos but i thought to mix up the videos randomly.....these were the "godfathers" of 90's/2000s hip-hop....these dudes birthed/influenced most of the rap guys we would consider as legends....these were the true rap GODS/ legends....
seen the movie 'straight outta compton'? Yup...it was about these guys......

Now these guys were the ish back in the day and till today still remain my best hiphop group. i an unrepentant BTNH fan even though many hiphop heads do not think they are rappers but singers. But with east 99 eternal being one of the best hip hop albums off all time, one cannot argue these guys knew their stuff especially when eaazy E was there to mentor them.
After eazy's death, their popularity and musical success began to wane.

sweet......keep em coming...lol....armadeo,glad to know you are still around. Most of my friends on nairaland left when the downslide in quality content became unbearable. Many reasonable and notable nairalanders who used to make special input especially in the politics section have stayed away as it seems kids have taken over the forum. Sadly, we older nairalanders just stay away and peep in once in a while. Good to see you armadeo...cheers
Music/Radio › Hip Hop Classics (Videos)! by phantom(op): 7:42pm On Mar 25, 2018
Hey Folks, i greet you all humbly. i am one of the oldest members of nairaland( most probably amongst the 1st 5 that registered),authored many posts on this forum including one of the longest running threads in the health section. I have seen/watched this lovely community grow from being an ant to the giant it is today.
Sadly, the quality of content posted here on a daily basis over the past 2-4years has been on a downslide, affecting all sections including the music/radio section.
I am one of many things....a husband, a father and an UNREPENTANT HIP-HOP HEAD!
I looked through nairaland and havent seen any thread dedicated to HIPHOP classics(videos) from the mid/late 80's to the late 2000's, considered in my opinion to be the golden years of rap music. I remember those years fondly and with nostalgia. So i call on all TRUE hip hop heads to jump on this thread and make it one of the most high quality threads this section has seen in years. Lets post videos of rap classics we can lay our hands on especially from youtube or anywhere else and it MUST be between the mid 80's and the late 2000's(randomly) to qualify.
(i am sorry but posting videos from nicki minaj, meek mill, drake etc will not make the cut) . TRUE HIP HOP HEADS would understand the reason for that. Please mods,i would appreciate if this can be moved to the frontpage for momentum and if possible, make it a sticky thread.
So without further ado i'm going to kick this off with.......Da Rockwilder-redman/methodman

A very poor imitation of MJ's thriller........... undecided....thus dude has nothing more to offer
Their going solo confirms a theory i have always had in my head- Paul is the singer,he has "the voice" while peter was the creative dude especially as regards choreography and maybe costumes.
They are better together in my opinion but if had to choose who, since the split has done better than the other .it will be Paul(rudeboy).
Peter is trying to hard and appears to be unfocused. He's basically forcing himself down our throats with this "1 week,1 new song" strategy.
Dude is going to burn himself out trying to outdo his twin who is just interested in taking his time and producing quality music.

my 2 cents

Guestlander:
I pray this port is completed on time so your hypothesis can be put to test. Most importers are not igbo. The biggest importers are big companies centered around Lagos and Ogun. Most are multinationals.
i pray so too BUT my brother go and check who and who owns the factories springing up in lagos and ogunhuh? Investigate! You will most likely realize that most of companies are owned by igbo men asides the foreign run ones.
Just move round lagos and ogun and check who owns those companies.
Guy, the igbos are the major importers in nigeria followed most probably by the delta/edo guys
Politics › Re: 100 Companies Bid For Ibom Deep Sea Port Project by phantom(m): 12:23pm On Mar 04, 2018
i mentioned it another thread that a major seaport in ibaka( deeper than apapa even without dredging) will finish lagos in a couple of years.
The truth is most importers are igbos. If this port comes to fruition, the south east/ south south will be the main nexus whether you yorubas like it or not.
You dont like to hear the truth but its actually the igbos that are keeping lagos afloat. About 70% of our imports are headed to the SE/SS. Once they build this port, a lot of importers will not bother using apapa or tincan.
A major seaport NEAR igboland will change this country for good. mark my words! If only we were truly "a nation" with love for each other, a major seaport in the SS/SE wil industrialize this country faster than you think.
Do you know how much an aba based shoemaker will save if he's imports are just 1 or 2 hours drive away from his factory. More companies will spring up. innoson will import his parts through ibaka because his factories are in enugu.
The advantages to the SE/SS is enormous.

grin grin grin grin grin grin onne is flourishing but mainly for oil and gas related imports. If the proposed ibaka seaport comes to fruition, it will tank apapa and the yoruba know this. Put a functioning and efficient international airport in the south east with a major seaport in the south south, its game over!

omohayek:
You've long been notorious on these forums for your extreme ethnocentrism and runaway inferiority complex, and usually I wouldn't bother to even read - let alone respond - to the hate-inflected drivel you're prone to spitting out, but this time I'll make an exception: the Lagos you spend so much time obsessing over was already by far the wealthiest part of the country before Nigeria even existed as a single country, which in turn was well before the British and their accompanying missionaries had made significant inroads into your part of the south-east.

All this self-congratulatory rubbish you've written here cannot gainsay the fact that Lagos was by the 1880s so valuable to the British that it was to protect its trade with the south-western interior that they even bothered to create a colony of "Southern Nigeria" in the first place. Igbo mass migration to Lagos only began in the 1920s, many decades after it had become a flourishing city of trade, education and industry, so even in that respect you and your ilk reverse cause and effect - it was the already extant prosperity of the city that drew - and continues to draw - Igbos to it, rather than any particular contributions of theirs setting it apart. As for the idea that SS (not SE) oil money "developed" Lagos, one would have to be ignorant enough to think the place was "undeveloped" until 1970 to swallow such manifest nonsense - but here you and your bandwagon of ignoramuses clearly qualify.

The notion that funds from the much poorer northern and south-eastern parts of Nigeria ever played a meaningful role in "developing" a place which had always been worth more than the rest of the country is rubbish from start to finish, cooked up in the ignorant brains of people whose inferiority complexes cannot allow them to absorb indisputable facts that are trivial to confirm with a simple Google search or two. Or you might even consult a professional history of Nigeria or two, such as the ones by Richard Bourne or Toyin Falola; but who am I kidding? The desire to seek out objective knowledge is totally foreign to the likes of tribal chest-beaters like you, who would rather believe and propagate nonsensical lies that happen to bolster their fragile sense of self-worth.
grin grin grin grin grin yet you people are using every means possible to keep the eastern ports dead. Dont worry, things will change soon and people like you will suddenly disappear. If only the idiotic and clueless Goodluck Jonathan spent his time collaborating with leaders from the SE and SS to revive the eastern ports and build new ones like the planned Ibaka seaport, you wouldnt be here typing this "drivel"......The average yorubaman is way below the igboman economically and educationally. But you are far better than the igbo when it comes to propaganda and politics which your people have used for years to portray the yoruba as something they are clearly not.i will admit it. The yoruba are more advanced politically and have used it efficiently over the years to get whatever they want while the igbos are busy attending to their businesses and making money(which has been their bane politically)
The fact that 60-70% of imports at apapa are headed towards the south east/south south says a lot. grin grin grin

Respect to one and only Sir Jakumo!

Well, we can only hope PayPal will do its best and use improved technology to counter thier fears on fraudulent activities in Nigeria and grant the genuine business men in the country the full PayPal features. We are talking about the most populous black nation, biggest Africa market and one of the biggest economies in Africa. I think PayPal has more to gain giving Nigerians the full PayPal features for real.
Oga e get people for this forum wey senior jakumo well for nairaland.
Now, to the paypal issue, i run 2 naija, 3 US and 1 UK paypal account from nigeria(all business accounts) The problem is withdrawing the money to a US or UK bank account which payoneer used to help us with until facebook stopped it. What are the options available?
1.send the money in you paypal account to a family member in the UK or US who have uk or usa bank accounts linked to their paypal accounts. They would then withdraw to their bank accounts and then send to you via wire transfer(which i prefer) or western union.
2. Set up a strip atlas account for 500 dollars and they set you up with a legal yankee bank account, tax id and LLC registration. Bottomline, they establish a legitimate business for you in the US. The company registered is now a US business even though you the owner is based in naija.
3. Pay merchants out of it. I use it to pay my suppliers in china as well as pay for facebook ads. I run a shopify store. My customers choose to pay me with either paypal or credit card(via stripe). My profit is recieved via the 2nd route via stripe-payoneer link.
Enough said!!!

Do you think its only by breakup a region can be free?? Do you know that the south east can be free WITHIN nigeria? restructuring is the watchword not breakup! Once this country restructures, all regions become FREE!
