The Eagles officially have the best-selling album of all time. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 has overtaken Michael Jackson‘s Thriller, reclaiming the top spot nearly a decade after the King of Pop’s death.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently recalculated sales of the best-of collection and certified the LP as 38x platinum, pushing the 33x platinum Thriller to second place, the Associated Press reports. The RIAA confirmed the new certifications to Rolling Stone.

The RIAA last tallied Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975‘s totals in 2006, when the album was 29x platinum; since then, streaming and digital downloads have dominated the music industry. Greatest Hits‘ new certification takes into account total streams, downloads and traditional sales since 2006. Thriller‘s totals were reportedly updated in 2017.
“We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. It’s been quite a ride,” Eagles’ Don Henley said in a statement.

Additionally, the RIAA recalculation – initiated by the band’s label – was good news for the Eagles’ 1977 album Hotel California, which is now 26x platinum, making the LP Number Three on the all-time list; in 2001, Hotel California was 16x platinum. While the RIAA declined to divulge specific details on the 10x platinum jump, the association told Rolling Stone that singles sales and other factors not initially tabulated into the RIAA’s platinum certification were retroactively added to the album’s sales total. In the case of Hotel California, sales of the Hot 100-topping title track were consolidated into album sales (10 singles purchases – physical or downloads – now count as one album).

The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1975 spent nearly a decade as the best-selling album of all time until Thriller bypassed it in the aftermath of Jackson’s death in 2009, Billboard reported at the time.

As regards consultancy position for johesu,i have no issues with it BUT the NMA will not sit and let that happen by rising through the ranks as a civil servant.
The murses,pharmacists and lab TECHNOLOGISTS MUST be willing to attain extra post graduate training the way the doctors do in a particular area of their respective fields. Otherwise it will not be fair to a medical consultant to earn the same with a "consultant" radiographer who was promoted to that level because,lets not kid ourselves,thats the aim of JOHESU.
Lastly, JOHESU should know that we (doctors)CREATED them and we can EXSANGUINATE them.
If this rubbish "superiority" battle continues, all it takes is for the doctors WHO ACTUALLY TREAT the patients to REJECT any test result not ratified by a pathologist with his stamp or a radiology report by a radiologist(NOT RADIOGRAPHER BECAUSE I SEE PEOPLE DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE) and see these people respect themeselves and the boundaries.Some states are already adopting that pathologists and radiologists MUST have their stamps to ratify results. This will curb quackery. It means if you bring a test result or radiology report without a doctors stamp(pathologist or radiologist as the case may be), you will be refused treatment until the right thing is done.

NB: the radiographer takes or acquires the images of the body....the radiologist is the doctor who looks at those imagesvand diagnoses what is wrong with the patient and refers to another doctor colleague to treat. Please in this patient flow, who should sit,close his mouth and be humble? Nigerians,you be the judge! Im out

The ugly trend of internet fraud by Gboys or yahoo boys is worrying and they and the youths who support them on social media are by every means lazy youths.
I try to understand what all the hullaballo is when its obvious our president was very right. No arguements there. The only debate i will readily argue would be about whether he was right saying it in a meeting with foreigners.
What exactly did he say that was wrong? "Many nigerian youths are lazy. They dont want to work but want to eat the best food,drive the latest cars,ball with the latest chicks and wear the best clothes" in essence.....not exact quote but exactly what he meant.
Remember 1 million out of 12 million youths is a lot and can be regarded as "many".
The almost 50-50 distribution of youths who support internet fraud and youths who dont is a major cause for concern.

It appears when a human is high to a certain level like after ingestion of certain drugs and during and after sex(yes sex is a drug...orgasm is a certain "frequency of highness" ) there is transference of spirits. Which is why married people are urged to stay away from having extra marital sex. Sleeping with different people opens you up to absorbing different spirits from different people.
Mediums(people who make contact with spirits of dead relatives on your behalf) are also known to take certain 'mind altering' drugs to make this contact feasible.

A few weeks back, news reached us that the federal govt had banned the manufacture of cough syrups with codeine,a drug many nigerian youths especially in the north are hooked on. Some people think its a good move but yours truly is bothered about the resultant effect especially when the move is akin to or the same as cutting off abruptly,the supply of this drug to the numerous addicts hooked on it..the cold turkey approach! As a doctor, i can authoritatively tell you that this is NOT the way to get an addict off a particular Drug.Rehabilitation Therapy includes replacing the drug with another drug,of lesser effect that acts like the first one. The aim is to reduce or remove the withdrawal effect, while gradually tailing off the 2nd drug until the patient can stay without using the drug. But as usual,our govt makes moves without thinking it through. I can almost assure you that this move was not properly run by the NMA and PSN(doctors and pharmacists). Because,from where i stand,i can count a couple of negatives
1.A black market opens up for this drug making it more expensive
2.The addicts will do anything to buy this drug at black market rates including resorting to crime to fund their habbit--> crime rate going up.
Well thats for codeine. Apart from codeine,nigerian youths are hooked on others including weed,gum,tramadol,valium,rophynol,pentazocine(mostly doctors and pharmacists who are sicklers can access this drug)amphetamine,heroine,coke etc....BUT none of them are as deadly as flakka.
Flakka aka bathwater salt aka the zombie drug is a new drug made in china whos epidemic is currently sweeping across developed nations.The US has mostly cut of the supply of this drug but many people still manage to get their hands on it esp in the state of florida(most likely due to it being a port state). Effects of this drug are weird. Addicts,when on it behave like they are demon possessed and for this, the drug has been called severally,the gateway to demonic possession. This drug litetally alters your state of mind 20 times that of cocaine.
Addicts are known to possess super human strength which is supernatural.They act very weirdly like they are demon3 possessed with users acquiring or maintaining very scary body contortions when high on it. I am very concerned about this drug getting into 9ja.Why? We live in a country filled to the brim with low quality chinese products and its not long before we begin to import this drug via drug peddlers who dont give a hoot who dies. This drug is cheap. 3bucks in the US. 1,500-2000 in naira. Very afordable for our younger middle class. A drug whose epidemic they say will make one wish to go back to the years of the crack epidemic.

Flakka is the Drug that scares me the most. Refered to as "the gateway to demonic possession", addicts behave in a scary manner that other drugs dont cause. They say the flakka epidemic makes the crack/coke epidemic look like beans.

This is sad
