Gov Fubara is already gone! With the current court ruling barring him from allocation, ( finance),the second power of a governor apart from his immunity, he will go to the supreme Court and most likely the judgement stays. He will have no choice than to represent it. The moment he represent it, his impeachment proceediing starts because he had violated the constitution earlier. Gov Fubara at the moment his like a king on the chessboard and it will soon be checkmate. We may end up having the first female governor in Rivers in the coming months.
It only God that can save him. |

Mynd44: Tell the students toexchabge their notes and mark one another's assignment This is not a good strategy. It better the student mark it themselves, by so doing they see their misconceptions and error and they can write out the correct answers in their books. Please note, the objective is not just marking for marking sake, but for student that got it wrong to see where they missed it and become better |

Allotrope69: Firstly, I apologize for putting this on this Section.
I would like to ask, how many periods a Mathematics teacher is supposed to have per day to enable him have time to Mark students classwork and assignment.
I'm asking this because I'm already losing my cool. I work like an elephant and earn like an ant. I teach JSS1-3 Mathematics and Teach Economics for SS1-2. I am having to teach Econs everyday in each of this SS classes. Most times, I have 6-7 periods per day. At times 8 periods. As a result of this, I can't mark students note completely cos you give classwork and assignment every blessed day, and the next day u have to teach first thing in the morning and Also do same routine.
Mind you, I'm talking about marking for almost 70 students in a day for just only mathematics. I'm tired because the sch keeps complaining that I don't mark their mathematics workbooks. I'm up to date with Marking notes but workbooks is not same. Also I don't have a double period in any of these classes that I teach mathematics Be strategic and reserve your energy Tell each children to bring a red pen to school Solve the questions and put the answers on board Tell each student to mark his/ her work with red pen and make corrections with the red pen After this, assuming you have 10 questions, do a physical assessment of student performance eg students scored 1010 should show by raise of hand, student that score 9/10 should raise of hand. You can also be strategic and ask student that got answer to a particular challenging question should show by raise of hand. Using this strategy you do 3 things at the same time: marking, correction and identifying student understanding of concepts. The only thing you mark yourself is test and exams. And once a week or fortnight they submit their note to you for checking. I love teaching maths and I always find a way to better at it and I desist teachers that complain. It's either you go management for pay rise or simply resign. |

Politics › Re: Scotland’s Only Oil Refinery Set To Close In 2025 by pharmagba: 9:00pm On Sep 13, 2024 |
malali: The Grangemouth refinery, Scotland’s only crude processing facility, is set to close in the second quarter of 2025 ,its owners confirmed on Thursday, as the refinery has been struggling to compete with the new complex facilities in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
The Grangemouth refinery, which was opened by the predecessor of BP in 1924, expanded its production into petrochemicals in the 1950s. However, the facility with a refining capacity of 150,000 barrels per day (bpd) has been unable to compete with the massive new refineries that major oil firms and refiners have built in Asia and the Middle East in recent years.
The refinery’s owner Petroineos, a joint venture between PetroChina and INEOS, on Thursday announced its intention to cease refinery operations at Grangemouth and transition the site to a finished fuels import terminal and distribution hub during the second quarter of 2025, subject to consultation with employees.
But “The INEOS businesses at Grangemouth, namely INEOS O&P UK and INEOS FPS (Forties Pipeline System), will continue as normal delivering high quality services and products to our customers and are largely unaffected by this change,” INEOS said today.
The closure of the refinery will result in 400 job losses as the number of employees at the site would be cut to 75 from 475.
The conversion of the site to a fuel import terminal would “safeguard fuel supply for Scotland” but this terminal would need fewer than 100 employees, according to the company. Some major oil firms, including Shell and Eni, have recently announced they would convert refineries in Europe to meet demand for base oil and biofuels.
In January 2024, Italy’s Eni said it would convert its refinery in Livorno into a biofuels-making facility in a second announcement of an upcoming closure of a European oil refinery in less than a week.
Eni’s announcement came days after Shell said that it plans to convert its oil refinery at the Wesseling site in Germany into a production unit for base oils.
By Charles Kennedy for Oilprice.com NNPC should immediately go and buy all the 'tokunbo' distillators Perhaps it can work for one of our refineries |

Laple0541: Which airline in the world doesn’t cancel flight? It happens virtually everywhere, and if you have a bad experience with Air Peace, am sure there are appropriate channels to lodge your complaints for prompt response. However, that doesn’t mean the UK government should not grant it landing rights in the UK. Your experience is just one bad experience out of hundreds of other good experiences based on reviews. Don’t forget the airline is young and still have rooms for improvement. I am sure you are not a regular flyer, Go down all my previous post about on Airpeace, even with the price war brouhaha, I have always emphasis exceptional service. That's the only thing that can sell that brand to Nigerian and international community. Please put sentiment aside, if you like quality service and seeing what Airpeace does to local flyers you will never opt for them when it comes to international flight |

Where were you when Airpeace conveyed disarrayed and troubled Nigerians from South Africa back to Nigeria free of charge etc, what ur government couldn't do. I hate it when ppl talk without their brains attached to their tongues. Read your write up and defence again And ask yourself if an airline that want to be an international player respond as such. To Keyamo This is not what he should lose sleep over Air Peace has not been treating Nigerians well locally how do they intend to treat Nigerian well internationally. Air Peace still cancels flight without compensation, delayed flight without explanation and treats local travellers, Nigerians with disdain? Is that the airline that wants to compete exceptionally international. Where is charity beginning at home |
